First time player. Currently playing a Tauren Druid.<br />
	I usualy played a melee char whatever game I played, so I decided to ditch Feral.<br />
	Is a fifty-fifty Balance/Resto Druid viable at higher level or is it better just to keep mostly one talent tree? I want to be able to heal and DPS. And pass as much as I can solo before I decide to try raiding.<br />
	Since i guess both require Int, it should be a good combination.<br />
	I'm level 13, I just put some points in Wrath and Nature's Grasp.

	Hello all,
</p>

<p>
	 I am starting fresh on Elysium with my RL buddy who is rolling Hunter and we're mainly interested in world pvp ganking and dungeon grinding. I have read some things about druids being underpowered in endgame raiding and being pigeon holed into going full resto if they choose to raid.  However, I'd like to know more specifically how well a "pvp specced" druid with decent gear does leveling up and can they hold their own in world pvp.  Are they so underpowered that they have a disadvantage in almost every possible pvp encounter?  Druids, please tell me ganking with a feral druid is as fun as i've been imagining.

<p>
	I've been leveling a feral druid and I'd love to raid with him as an OT and dps once I hit 60. I've been reading everything I've found about powershifting for dps, etc.
</p>

<p>
	I'm trying to put together a build that allows me to do both, checking the "A Grizzly Situation" guide, I've seen this one that sounds like what I'm looking for:
</p>

<p>
	"Feral Hybrid DPS/Tank 14/32/5 "The @Wortgewandt variant". Very much the same as the above build, but with the threat increasing talents dropped in order to add additional DPS talents. Less 'easy threat' than the above build, more DPS, more built around off tanking in raids than main tanking. Still able to tank dungeons just fine, but it will require more thought and less autopilot."
</p>

<p>
	I haven't been able to find the actual build, so I've created my own version, but I'd love some feedback from experienced feral players:

<p>
	Hey! I recently started a new druid. I'm currently level 18, and ready to start my first dungeon runs through Deadmines. I'm planning on focusing solely on Feral until level 60 at least (my guild is aiming for future raiding, and I've been given persmission to be a feral off-tank at 60 if I wish). I'm not sure if I'll even bother collecting healing gear, as I should have no problem finding groups if I can fill either the DPS or tanking spot as feral (and I need money for my mount, so might as well sell any int/spir gear I find).
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I have only tanked a tiny bit as feral before (one run through Stockades), and I found it pretty easy compared to Warriors. Basically I would just pull with Moonfire/Faerie Fire (it was before I had Faerie Fire (Feral)), shift to Bear form, and use Maul to keep aggro. On multiple mobs I'd use Swipe for AoE threat, and Demo roar for damage mitigation. Always keeping Thorns on myself. This way I rarely lost aggro of any mobs, and if I did early in a fight due to a premature heal, I'd just pick the loose mob up with Growl. I'd also sometimes pop a Rejuvination on myself just for some extra AoE threat. I found it to be a lot of fun and very simple, and in 5mans I actually prefered it to Warrior tanking. Hardly any tab-targeting to keep aggro on multiple mobs.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	For gear I'm priorotizing items with Stamina &gt; Strength &gt; Agility &gt; Armor.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I just made this thread as a place to discuss Feral tanking. I feel it should be more commonly used in 5mans, as I have rarely been in dungeons with bear tanks (mostly druids I have played with have been healers or cat dps). I'd greatly appreciate any advice from people with experience :) I want to perform as well as I can, as I hate letting down a dungeon group by causing a whipe!

<p>
	<s>Hi guys!</s>
</p>

<p>
	<s>Some of you may have seen me posting theorycrafting stuff about feral dps on Elysium Druid discord channel. I'm really interested in minmaxing and try to calculate every possible way of improving our dps.</s>
</p>

<p>
	<s>So, I've been working lately on this spreadsheet, that is, a BiS list for feral cats, that works dynamically. The current BiS lists are based on static stat weights (2.4 str, 2.1 agi) and include only the stat weights calculated from autoattack. However, analyzing the cat dps in more detail, we know that most of our dmg comes from Shred and Ferocious Bite and they are much more weighted towards crit, which gives agility more value.</s>
</p>

<p>
	<s>So this sheet takes into account all the 3 main dps sources in raids (Autoattack, Shred, Ferocious Bite). You insert your own stats into the sheet and the sheet calculates the relative value of 1% crit chance to Attack Power (C:AP) with your own stats. However, doing only this, the sheet would calculate every dmg source as equal, which is wrong and would lead into way too much weight on the crit/ap ratio of Ferocious Bite. So, I added a table where you can add the dmg% of each skill in boss fights for up to 10 different bosses. You can check them from either DpsMate or Legacy-Logs after raid. The sheet then gives the relative percentage of value to the Crit:AP ratio of each skill and calculates the final, total value of 1% crit chance/AP based on that. This gives us the correct stat weight to Agility and correct dps value to items with your own current stats.</s>
</p>

<p>
	<s>Hope this isn't too messy to understand. Basically, all you need to do is to download the excel file, insert your own stats + dmg source % of each skill from raid logs and then the sheet calculates the dps values to items.</s>
</p>

<p>
	Best regards,
</p>

<p>

	<strong>EDIT: The previous spreadsheet is outdated and a lot of improvements and fixes have been done after that. You will find the latest version of the spreadsheet from the link below. There is also a link to my Twitch channel. I stream feral cat raids, theorycrafting and sometimes pvp.</strong>

<p>
	All through the leveling process my character felt quite powerful, until I hit about lvl 54 and I hit a brick wall. I am 56 now and it has gotten worse. I used to be able to DPS down equal level mobs quite quickly in cant form, and tank 3-4 at once in bear w/ self heals. Now it takes me forever to kill one equal level mob, and sometimes I have to do it in bear form just to be able to withstand the significant damage a single mob does to me! My DPS meter shows my cat form single target DPS ranging from 90 to 130 depending on crits and misses. And my bear form DPS hovers around 60-70.

	Hey all, obviously the PVP sets aren’t out yet (Nighthaven), but when they are, what do you all assume will be the stacking status of the speed set bonus and Feline Swiftness? Feline is 30% for 2 points, the bonus is 15%.
</p>

<p>
	I know later iterations of the game specifically stated they don’t stack, is this implied in 1.12?

<p>
	Hi everyone!
</p>

<p>
	I'm Nostalian from &lt;SECURITY&gt; on Elysium-PVP, where I currently raid as a feral DPS. I wanted to share a google doc of Druid macros that I wrote way back in April when I hit 60. At the time, I was super frustrated with how cluttered my bars had become. That frustration inspired me to write a bunch of macros that consolidated many of my abilities and freed up my bars. Have a look, play around with them, and reach out with any feedback/criticism! I appreciate  it all and hope some of you find the macros helpful.
</p>

<p>
	<a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pbKrmcxE9NrGIvKReQeMjTpdQFKadhI7EV65rQGK0tM" rel="external nofollow">https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pbKrmcxE9NrGIvKReQeMjTpdQFKadhI7EV65rQGK0tM</a>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Additionally, I have a question about supermacro: I read somewhere that /unbuff is a slow command because of its implementation. I currently have a few /unbuff lines in my cat form macro for mounts - do you think this creates a substantial amount of delay when using the macro to powershift? I definitely don't notice any delay, but next raid I might just place the cat form spell on my bar to powershift with instead and see if I notice a marginally faster powershift time.

<p>
	I finally got most of my pre-raid bis for healing gear and made the respec last night for ZG.
</p>

<p>
	I'm using Luna so I made /lunamo macros for my spells, however I noticed that Swiftmend and Nature's Swiftness won't work when I'm moused over a unit frame.  This is really annoying obviously as now I'm required to click and target the person I want to Swiftmend, and move my mouse off the unit frame to cast it.  Same goes for Nature's Swiftness, except I don't have to target anyone, just move my mouse off a frame, cast it, then mouse back over.
</p>

<p>
	How does everyone deal with this?

	4. Utilization &amp; Buffs<br />

 First things First. Trying to do DPS as a Feral requires absolute Dedication to maximize your stats. You will need worldbuffs, you will need to be on point on gear, abilitys and you need to be able to multitask. Cats can output a high burst damage but it is hard to maintain the output later on in many encounters. If you're having a high ping or lag, I would<br />
 recommend you pick another DPS specc/class as you'll loose lots of dps.
 </p>
	</div>

<p>
	2. Stats

 Ferals are Stat beasts. No other class/specc in Vanilla so desperately requires high Stats over AP/SP etc. Stats have 2 priority lists that are as follows:<br /><br />
 If you are raidbuffed and you have less than 33% crit: Hit &gt; Agi &gt; Str &gt; Crit<br />
 If you are raidbuffed and you have 33% crit or more: Hit &gt; Str &gt; Agi &gt; Crit
 </p>

 <p>
 Primary Stats:
 </p>

 <p>
 1 Str = 2.2 AP<br />
 1 Agi = 1.0 AP 0.05% Crit
 </p>

 <p>
 Secondary Stats:<br />
 9% Hit is perfect, 7-8% are still fine early on, but you will need to have 9% to be Raidready.<br />
 AP = ( AP From Str + 2.4 (HotW talent points) + 120 + Agility ) + (Predatory Strikes = LVL * 1.5) - 20
 </p>

 <p>
 Weapon Stats:<br />
 Cats dont require weapons. Unlike other melee classes, cats get their own Formweapon. Your Weaponstats = DPS on your character sheet which is calculated as  (Weapon_DPS (when naked) + AP/14)
 </p>

 As a Feral in PVE, you basically use 4 Abilitys. Those are Shred, Omen of Clarity, Ferocious Bite and Rip where applicable.
 </p>

 <p>
 Lets have a look at how each Ability is utilized:<br /><br />
 Omen of Clarity: Chance on hit with letting you FB/Rip/Shred for free.<br />
 Shred: Deals 225% +180 DMG of your ''Weapon''. Gives 2 CP per Crit<br />
 Rip: (Currently bugged) is supposed to deal a fixed amount of Damage. Currently it doesnt.<br />
 Ferocious Bite: Deals fixed amount of Damage + 2.5 DMG per energy + an amount given from your AP.  NEVER USE IT WITH LESS THAN 4 CP. If you use FB with 4 CP, make sure to have atleast 50-60 energy to make up for the last combopoint loss.
 </p>

 <p>
 The Prio list including Rip is as follows: Rip &gt; FB &gt; Shred<br />
 Without Rip, its pretty much a Rotation: Shred, Shred, Shred, FB, Repeat.<br /><br />
 As for your talent specc, you do not have many choices and this is what i am currently running: <a href="http://realmplayers.com/Talents.aspx#0x0VhoZVoxsfddtV" rel="external nofollow">http://realmplayers.com/Talents.aspx#0x0VhoZVoxsfddtV</a><br />

 As a cat, you have to be able to multitask and keep track of 3 things. Your Mana, your energy Reg and your Autoattack ticks. Your main source of DPS will be Shred and to be able to use it to its fullest, you need to Powershit. Powershifting is the continous shifting from catform into caster back into catform. The purpose for this is regain 60 energy<br />
 instantly to use Shred, wait 1 energy tick and then Shred again. However, it is very mana costly and you can only do it for so long. Omen of Clarity will help in this process as it lets you shred for free on occasion. So bring lots a mana pots.<br /><a href="http://www.aowow.org/?item=8345" rel="external nofollow">Wolfshead Helm</a> is the most important thing to get. Without it, your DPS will be lousy and powershifting will be relativly useless.<br />
 My personal preference, when i am fully buffed (including worldbuffs) is to powershift between an energy tick and the next auto attack, because when using Draconic Maul and you shift out of cat, the swing will be instant and most of the time will crit between 700 to 1000 DMG. This is extra DPS, but it needs good timing.<br /><br />
 Buffs:<br />
 Foodwise: if you are under 33% crit, 10Agi, otherwise 10/20Str.<br />
 Weapon: Elemental Sharpening Stone. Dont use +Weapon DMG, its bugabuse and will get you banned.<br />
 Worldbuffs: Darkmoon (3-10%) &gt; ZG &gt; Ony &gt; Songflower &gt; DM (Highcrit / 15% stats increase is much more valuable than 200 AP)<br />
 Consumables: Use Jujus over Giants/Winterfall. Those couple of stats might just push you over the next higher in DPS. Mongoose is a must, and so is the blasted lands consumable. Ofcourse, as with all the others: If below 33% crit, use the +25 Agi if above, use the +25Str.<br /><br />
 Ofcourse since you're a druid, you will be asked to BR/Reg someone. So keep those free unless instructed otherwise.

 There are many addons you can utilize to further your DPS and to go deeper into the material. However, be adives the more addons you use, the slower your game gets. Thus increasing the time it takes to powershift. We do not want that. However, you have to test for yourself with what amount of delay you can be comfortable with or with how much input delay you can cope.

 <p>
 Theorycraft - This addon is highly recommended, as it calculates the avrg DMG a spell would do on a particular target at that particular moment in time. It takes into account your targets debuffs and your own buffs. Thus a must have!<br />
 DruidBar - This is for beginners or people who simply cant multitask. It shows you your enery/rage bar in whichever form ou are currently and also displayes your mana. This is essential for cats, so youre not stuck in caster form because you run out of mana.<br />
 Recap - Recap is a fine little tool to keep track of proccs of your trinkets, buffs, crits, misses, crit/hit ratio. Alltogether a good tool to show what youre lacking after a bossfight.<br />
 Supermacro - I cant stress enough, that is is probably the most needed addon. You need this to make the extended powershift macros work.

<p>Hello all,</p>
<p>I want to play a druid and I know restoration is my only viable spec at 60 for raiding and such. For leveling though is restoration viable or do I need to go feral than re-roll back to restoration at 60? I am also wondering if feral is able to heal 5 mans in healing gear while leveling to 60.</p>

<p>
	Hey,
</p>

<p>
	I've been surfing the interwebz for a while now, but I can't find anything to confirm my question.
</p>

<p>
	I feel a bear as off tank is nice to have around, because of rebirth and innervate, but for the encounters where only tanks are needed that person would go cat.
</p>

<p>
	From what I can read cat DPS is a waste of a spot, in general, but using some sort of hybrid DPS specc is not mentioned anywhere.
</p>

<p>
	A friend of mine spoke of this a few weeks ago, as a suggestion to what that bear would do when not tanking. Sorry, but I've never played druid myself, so I might be a bit out of shape on the abilities.
</p>

<p>
	DPS:
</p>

<p>
	1. Starting in cat form, using up the most energy consuming dmg abilities to get the most dmg outcome.
</p>

<p>
	2. Shift to caster form and cast wrath + moonfire, or what ever is suited to fit the time it takes for the energy bar to be fill up.
</p>

<p>
	3. Jump back into cat form and repeat.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	This would of course be very mana consuming, which would mean popping mana pots and runes on CD. If this were to be viable DPS this would mean some sort of hybrid gear similar to the Warlord/Marshal set, right?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Has anyone here tried this out?
</p>

	I noticed that Zandalarian Hero Medallion and Tiger's Fury are not stacking.
</p>

<p>
	At the moment Zandalarian Hero Medallion is overwritten by effect of Tiger's Fury regardless on number of stacks that you have on Zandalarian Hero Medallion buff.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	 Can anyone confirm if that's intended behavior or should those two buffs when used stack?

</p>

<p>
	Hello, back when I played a druid I wanted to make spammable shapeshifting macros that would let me control my forms the best way possible, and also I didn't want to use any add-ons for macros.
</p>

<p>
	So this is what I came up with, perhaps some will find it useful.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>1. Dismount macro</strong> - not very useful by itself, but is used for other macros. I placed it into slot №27, see the action bar slot reference:
</p>

<div class="ipsSpoiler" data-ipsspoiler="">
	<div class="ipsSpoiler_header">
 <span>Spoiler</span>
	</div>

	<div class="ipsSpoiler_contents">
 <p>
 <img alt="VGArn.jpg" class="ipsImage" height="595" src="http://i.imgur.com/VGArn.jpg" width="1000" /></p>
	</div>
</div>

<p>

</p>

<blockquote class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote="">
	<div class="ipsQuote_citation">
 Quote
	</div>

	<div class="ipsQuote_contents">
 <p>
 /run local i=0 g=GetPlayerBuff while not (g(i) == -1) do if(strfind(GetPlayerBuffTexture(g(i)),"Mount"))then CancelPlayerBuff(g(i)) end i=i+1 end
 </p>
	</div>
</blockquote>

<p>
	<strong>2. Dismount + switch to caster form</strong> - somewhat useful, but still mainly used by other macros. I placed it into slot №37.
</p>

<blockquote class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote="">
	<div class="ipsQuote_citation">
 Quote
	</div>

	<div class="ipsQuote_contents">
 <p>
 /run UseAction(27)<br />
 /run for i=1, GetNumShapeshiftForms() do _, name, active = GetShapeshiftFormInfo(i) if( active ~= nil ) then CastShapeshiftForm(i) break end end
 </p>
	</div>
</blockquote>

<p>
	<strong>3. Cat form</strong>.
</p>

<p>
	It will dismount/cancel any other form and then switch to the cat form, and if you're already there, it will activate "Track Humanoids".
</p>

<blockquote class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote="">
	<div class="ipsQuote_citation">
 Quote
	</div>

	<div class="ipsQuote_contents">
 <p>
 /script c=CastSpellByName; f=UnitPowerType("Player"); if not (f==3) then UseAction(37); else c"Track Humanoids"; end; if (f==0) then c"Cat Form"; end;
 </p>
	</div>
</blockquote>

<p>
	<strong>4. Bear form</strong>.<br />
	Same as above, but for dire bear form. You have to edit it if you only have normal bear form.
</p>

<blockquote class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote="">
	<div class="ipsQuote_citation">
 Quote
	</div>

	<div class="ipsQuote_contents">
 <p>
 /script c=CastSpellByName; f=UnitPowerType("Player"); if not (f==1) then UseAction(37); else end; if (f==0) then c"Dire Bear Form"; end;
 </p>
	</div>
</blockquote>

<p>
	<strong>5. Travel form</strong>.
</p>

<p>
	Unlike other macros, it won't cancel any other form, so you have to use it while you're in caster form already.
</p>

<blockquote class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote="">
	<div class="ipsQuote_citation">
 Quote
	</div>

	<div class="ipsQuote_contents">
 <p>
 /run local i,x=1,0 while UnitBuff("player",i) do if UnitBuff("player",i)=="Interface\\Icons\\Ability_Druid_TravelForm" then x=1 end i=i+1 end if x==0 then CastSpellByName("Travel Form") else end
 </p>
	</div>
</blockquote>

<p>
	You can place all those macros whenever you want, just make sure that commands like UseAction() link to a correct macro.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	PS: while I'm at it, here's the video of how you can use shred against mobs 1 vs 1 for faster and more efficient levelling:

<p>
	Hello,
</p>

<p>
	I am leveling a druid with the intent of primarily PvPing as Balance. Once I hit level 60, I was wondering what gear would be best to target to help me rank up in PvP as a Balance Druid. I realize that the rank 10+ gear is probably the best for PvP, but what gear should I have before that? Please note I play on Elysium which doesn't have ZG patch yet.
</p>

<p>
	So think of this request as a pre-bis list, but for PvP.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks

<p>
	Hey guys! new here, but not new to druid.  Back in TBC when I had more time to play, I raided pretty seriously.  I remember vividly how fun it was for me to level my druid.  As many others of you probably do, I enjoy most being able to use Caster, Bear, and Cat while leveling in order to maximize dmg and survivability.  I need a build that's effective at beating up red mobs, elites of my level, as well as multiple enemies at the same time.  I see the following build as effective while leveling, but due to not having 10 more talent points, it only dips into many of the talents without maxing them.
</p>

<p>
	<a href="http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#0zLmbZxMgsckbtVm" rel="external nofollow">http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#0zLmbZxMgsckbtVm</a>
</p>

<p>
	If you understand what I'm going for, what is your advice? I'd prefer to be able to get Imp Mark of the Wild but i just don't have the points.
</p>

<p>
	Once again, with emphasis, this build is only for leveling purposes. Grinding and questing
