  1. perhaps if elysium owns up to the fact that the spirit of the true server is firmly in the hands of lights hope with commitment to not make a profit and to try to stop corruption. the only fragmenting is happening is here where you guys try to keep milking the cash cow instead of owning up to the corruption and ending it with some small shred of dignity. No? Ah well I tried.

  2. We actually have the tightest community, between us and the PVE server it's quite nice, thanks. What I don't need is to hit the reset button on my character every year for the lolz or because I don't know how to invest in something. Maybe you should try actually going the distance - cause late game is where the real fun is. I can understand though just casually going through MC and BWL and feeling the mind numbing rush of being server never first anything but hoping for it just the next time. Sheer exhilaration!

  3. The goal should be to maximize tank time. Feral dps is decent at MC level, good at BWL level, okay at AQ level, and bad at Naxx level. Tanking will always be useful if you can find a place and get the odd assortment of gear you need to make it work.

  4. It still doesn't make sense. You input your crit but you also have a checkbox for Improved regrowth. Improved regrowth when fully specced into it adds 50% crit. So if it's auto set to 15% and you check or uncheck the box the crit section of the spell doesn't change hardly at all. Is it adding 50% crit or not? If it is then the crit amount should be much larger. If it isn't then why is it changing at all when I uncheck it if I have to manually tack on 50% to my crit presumption?

    Am I missing something entirely?

  5. the real option is either 1% dodge or zg enchant. 10 stam >>> 100 health. But for general I choose dodge because it always scales. Health is good for heavy mitigation fights like broodlord where a bigger health pool really helps. Apart from that it's only slacking heals that'll kill you.

  6. If they made it where there would be a tbc server but the only way into that tbc server would be after a certain time of naxx content being released it would probably be a good boost to anathema. The way it would work is that servers that are vanilla would stay vanilla. Say a few months after naxx release a one time copy of all characters would be made and ported to the new tbc server. Elysium not being of the naxx level would be unable to have characters ported. It still might have a problem where people who want to roll fresh on tbc would simply just join that and anathema pop could be monitored to see how it works. Other things that could be done is that only certain level characters could be ported to tbc in a one time thing so in general anathema could be the "leveling" type server while naxx is still out so people who want to do some vanilla raids could and after a point get their one time transfer to tbc when done. This way the vanilla servers wouldn't turn into permanent ghost towns once tbc has been released.

The Open Source devs working on Naxx are not developers who are working on the team. They're all dedicated to doing Naxx for their own reasons. There's no resource loss for attention being given to Naxx other than sysadmin tasks that take very little time.

LOL! We had the 1.10 patch delayed 3 times for over three weeks because of naxx ptr. Don't tell me that naxx isn't taking elysium devs time. If you actually thought about it you'd realize the resources that are being used for something like that. Please.

  8. I have zero problem taking every piece of aq gear I have and keeping it in my bank for the months until aq comes out on elysium. Heck it'd give me an actual reason to go back to bwl and run what I can to fill the slots. It's a small price to pay to be able to be on as active of a server as we were used to leveling up. And for some of us reroll is simply not an option due to time or investment or lack of interest and being on the original server shouldn't be a punishment for that mentality. I'm not saying we need to be catered to or given special treatment. But we should be given the respect of the fact that nost made vanilla as successful as it was. Before it 1k was an amazing server. Anathema is now sitting at 1k "dead" and I'm happy for the fact that vanilla is so popular but we are now being punished by circumstances.

Take the time you are spending working on naxx and move it to working on a db merge so that anathema joins elysium with all aq items locked as suggested above.

  9. So problems of moonkins. With talents you don't get spell hit so you have to work extra hard and choose hit gear over other solid upgrades. You also have innervate which ok you could use on yourself but mages and locks have built in mana recouping features which again you don't have. With short enough fights where mana is less of an issue than pure damage output moonkins can be great. Longer fights though it's not good because of those reasons.

  10. Unfortunately they way it seems what will actually happen is anathema will simply be the extended beta test of naxx up to the point of where people have only a few guild options for naxx raiding (if that) at which point the server will be for all intents dead as there would be zero competitive raiding scene. It will languish in its state of too small to be useful but still part of the elysium group but too geared to be merged for some reason even though people would grumble but not care. Then a year down the road elysium people will happily get a bugless naxx and anathema simply won't exist. GG yeah so fun. Really fair to those of us who have been here since the beginning right?

Here's what should happen. Move anathema playerbase to elysium. At that point there's a few options:

Option 1: deal with the fact that we have better gear but know it wouldn't matter that much because there are so few of us anymore. Have a cutoff for people who logged within a certain time period or something so it limits the inactives. Whatever.

Option 2: Tell all anathema type people to bank all aq gear and to just deal with missing gear slots and let them equip it when aq patch gets released. I would be plenty happy to dust off older gear or simply go back to bwl to get some of the pieces I need. This would be a non issue and keep it fair for all. Any person caught with aq gear with a screenshot or whatever could get a perma ban. Or warning then ban. Whatever.

Option 3: Remove all aq gear from anathema players. This would keep it fair but would be very extreme. I don't think this is a good plan but it is an option. I'd rather have it and know my character actually has a future in an active server even though it would be very distasteful.

  11. I'll start by saying that pve feral dps is ok. It can work for someone who tries really really hard. For most it's going to be similar to shadow priest for dps output. I personally don't see feral dps being a smart choice to bring to a raid though because it's not utilizing enough of the hybridness of the class and becomes more of a wasted slot if you are simply bringing a low dps rogue with an extra innervate and battle rez. But a lot of it depends on the type of guild you are in and the atmosphere and goals they have.
