  1. So the scourge have arrived and you wanna make the most of it, right? Well look no further!

    City NPCs

    First, you'll see that your cities have gotten some new NPCs.

    First we got the Argent Dawn Recruiter who'll give you a simple quest where you have to go to the Light's Chapel in Easter Plaguelands.

    Then we got the Argent Dawn Initiates, who'll offer you a stamina buff that increasing depending on your level. These start as Lesser Marks(10 stamina at lvl 60), and turn into Normal Marks(20 stamina at lvl 60) and later Greater Marks(30 stamina at lvl 60) depending on how many scourge invasions the server has fought back.

    Last we have the Argent Dawn Messenger, who'll tell you exactly where the current Scourge Invasions are taking place (which can also be seen on the world map in form of a purple skull), how many Necropolises are left and how many Scourge Invasions the server has repelled.

    Eastern Plaguelands NPCs and Quests

    When you arrive in Eastern Plaguelands you're met with some new NPCs too, mostly copy pasted from city NPCs but there are some unique ones.

    First there is the Commander Thomas Helleran. This guy will start your main quest chain:

    Under the Shadow into Shadows of Doom  (This is an elite quest so it CANNOT be done in a raid, you have to do it in a 5 man group max!)

    Doing this quest chain will unlock the Argent Quartermaster who you can then buy various item from with Necrotic Runes.

    The Scourge Spawns at the areas also have a chance to drop quest letter that each give 25 rep upon hand-in at Light's Chapel.

    Event and Rewards

    So when an invasion starts, a Necrotic Shard will spawn in some of these locations:

    iDzSqHk.jpg

    The Shard starts at 100% health and spawns numerous high level scourge around it, which all can drop the Necrotic Runes. There is also a rare chance to spawn a rare scourge, that is guaranteed to drop a bracer of scourge slaying (more on that later)

    When the shard reaches 0% after a lot of killing, 4 Cultist Engineers will spawn. If you go to one of these, you can interrupt their ritual and summon a Shadow of Doom

    At each shard a max of 4 Shadows of Doom can be spawned. These guys have around 120-140k health and do moderate damage. They also frequently fear and life drain but that can be dispelled. Their main ability is a 1 shot ability that you cannot avoid (except maybe invul abilities). It's called Scourge Strike and the Shadow of Doom will hit it's main aggro enemy with it after a few minutes of combat. These bosses, along with being needed for the Shadows of Doom quest, also drop 30 Necrotic Runes, a Corruptor's Scourgestone (if you got trinket) and a chance at the scourge slaying chest piece.

    When the 4 Shadows of Doom have been killed the Shard respawns and you can do the event again, but a Necropolis only has 2 shards so after the 2nd has been downed, the invasion in that spot has been repelled and you'll have to find a new area in the zone or wait for the next invasion to begin.

    As for the special armor that can drop, the Shadows of Doom  have a chance to drop:

    The rare scourge bosses that sometimes spawn have a chance to drop:

    These are a part of a 3-set, where the gloves of this set are bought from the Outfitter/Quartermaster for 30 Necrotic Runes.

    As for the Argent Dawn Quartermaster, he begins to sell you a lot of nice stuff when you complete the Quest chain

    Special Dungeon Bosses

    During the Invasion, you'll also be able to encounter 6 different dungeon bosses:

    Lord Blackwood in Scholomance

    Balzaphon in Stratholme

    Revanchion in Dire Maul West

    Lady Falther'ess in Razorfen Downs

    Scorn in Scarlet Monestary Graveyard after last boss is killed

    Sever in Shadowfang Keep

    There's no mention of it being added in todays patch. I actually checked the vendor 2 hours ago and it didnt exist. Also, will titanic leggings plans be able to drop from Ony/Rag/Nef from today onwards?

    Recheck the list, they're 1.10. And no, +25 Agi enchant has never been available on the current servers and only existed on old Elysium characters rather than Nost which I first thought were they ones who had acquired it. The +25 agi enchants haven't been removed yet but should be removed soon.

    Looks like it's gonna happen in one week instead, so in 7 days those items will all be gone until their respective patch. Post-purge those items will still show up in Realmplayers as being earned as this was a thing when 1.9 first released. Later on the items were all removed from the drop tables but the items did still exist on the players that earned them during the bugged period. Which will now be corrected in one week.

  4. This is a list of items that are not in-game. Since almost every item in-game can be linked as of patch 1.9, I felt that this list was needed to dismiss confusion. This does not include content that is not out yet as a whole (Argent Dawn update and Naxx)

    All these items will be introduced in Patch 1.12

    Hey guys,

    i remember doing Quests in Ashenvale where i had to collect fulborg earls,impale some Elite Fulborg and hunt down 3 special Animals from the actual retail WoW. However, i cant seem to get these q´s now. Anyone got an idea as to why that is? =(

    Senani Thunderheart wont give me the Q´s.

    (WoW Head says u get them from her)

    Forgot to mention that the Quest "Vorsha the lasher" appears to be bugged. You can not put the fire out. However, i think someone already reported that.

    best regards

    When you complete "The Ashenvale Hunt" you can go and kill the 3 special beasts and they'll drop a quest that you can then return to Senani.

    Bear = http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=16303

    Panther = http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=16304

    Hippogryph = http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=16305

    When you complete all 3 you are rewarded with http://db.vanillagaming.org/?quest=247

    Regarding the Furbolg quests, you get them from http://db.vanillagaming.org/?npc=12757

  6. This recipe comes with 1.8, so it should only be out on Anathema. Due to progression errors it was obtainable on Darrowshire back before the shutdown, but they should not be able to use the recipe spell until 1.8. Regarding Demoniaco's concerns, the Sandworm Meat will not start dropping from the sandworms until 1.8 either, so you can't hoard the materials until the recipe is out. For concerned players who already did the quest on new servers, even though none of the quests in the chain were supposed to be out when they did, the recipe should be automatically added to your cooking when you get to patch 1.8.
