Seal of Command (SoC), Judgement of Command (JoC) and Judgement of Righteousness (JoR) are not triggering Weapon + Trinket + Enchant + Item procs

In our excitement over the bug fix which allowed SoC to scale with both Sanctity Aura and spell damage as well as adding its 0.5 second delay to allow Vengeance to scale with it, we forgot to request that SoC, JoC and JoR be likewise flagged to trigger Weapon + Trinket + Enchant + Item procs.

In case anyone missed today's patch notes...

Paladins

The mana regenerated by Blessing of Wisdom and Greater Blessing of Wisdom will no longer cause Paladins to be put in combat.

Judgement of Command now scales with spell power at the correct rate.

Seal of Command, Judgement of Command, and Judgement of Righteousness can now trigger weapon procs.

REJOICE!!!

Fiery Plate Gauntlets no longer scale with spellpower. Im pretty sure it should, anyone got sources on this?

There's been a vigorous debate regarding these four unique proc items going back several years to multiple different private WoW servers:

- Fiery Retributer

- Blazefury Medallion

- Fiery Plate Gauntlets

- Storm Gauntlets

The Devs here at Elysium have decided to remove all spell damage scaling for them with yesterday's patch and I'm not one to re-open the debate.

I'm just stoked that we actually have a 100% working Retribution spec and playstyle so let's focus on the good things shall we?

:)

Fiery Plate Gauntlets belong to the group with Items that proc +damage each swing :

Here is evidence that they should not scale with spell damage now since this bug is already fixed!

You can see that they do 3 damage instead 5 or 10.

Same as Items and buffs that do "reflective damage" :

http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Reactive_effect

Damage shields: These have a 100% chance to proc, but can only be triggered by melee attacks. The damage is not considered spell damage.

Reactive procs: These do not necessarily trigger off every attack. However, they are not limited to melee attacks (unless specifically mentioned otherwise). The damage inflicted is considered spell damage.

http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Damage_shield

Damage shields trigger off every melee attack and are not limited by a cooldown; hence, they are more potent against fast-attacking enemies. The damage inflicted is not considered spell damage and thus is not capable of triggering spell hit procs.

Items and Spells Providing Damage Shields

Cloak of Flames

Razor Gauntlets

Drillborer Disk

Gahz'rilla fang

Flame Wrath

Sulfuras Hands of Ragnaros (The return damage 5 only)

Naglering

Heart of Scale

Fetish of chitinous Spikes

Essence of the Pure Flame

(All Blacksmith Spikes)

Crystal Spire

Thorns

Molten Armor

Retribution Aura

Imp's Fire Shield

-None of them should scale or work with Spell Damage-

If you don't like the way it is , Feenix is best server for you ;)

Is it a viable build on this server to prioritize spellpower over str and stack procs like you mentioned on this forums post.
http://www.wow-one.com/forum/topic/66225-theloras-retribution-guide/

I was looking to wield a fast 2h like Chillpike or Shadowstrike enchanting life stealing
Heart of Wyrmthalak
Maelstrom Deck

Do you recommend fiery over life stealing?

If I go ret for raids I won't be able to judge Crusader on mobs, should I use righteous or crusader for extra procs?

yes you can now go for a spell damage build and use proc items - although heart of wyrmthalak isn't available yet on any server.

even though it has the highest proc rate for any enchant, fiery is useless in MC/BWL and doesn't scale with spell dmg

lifestealing is 2nd highest proc rate, can be used on MC/BWL and is scaling with spell dmg

you want to use SoR - not SotC - even if you are not allowed to judge crusader as SoR is now proccing everything

PS a good and fast 2handed weapon easily available with a juicy spell dmg proc + dot available is:

Demonshear
Binds when picked up
Two-hand
Sword
163 - 246 Damage
Speed 3.80
(53.8 damage per second)
Durability 100 / 100
Requires Level 58
Chance on hit: Sends a shadowy bolt at the enemy causing 150 Shadow damage and dealing 40 damage every 2 sec for 6 sec.
http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=13348

Don't worry about the 3.8 swing speed - originally it was 2.3 and was changed during a later vanilla patch.

you are very welcome - it was a team effort - but at long last all of my fellow Paladins can now finally enjoy how the class was supposed to play!
