Bringing The Community's Talent Together

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

We are very excited to announced that we are now officially open source!

The great thing about creating the public repository with Elysium in particular, is that the contributions that the community can make to the project will be on an active server, allowing contributors to have a direct and positive impact on a large playerbase. We will be posting instructions, guidelines and rules for public collaboration very soon.

We are really excited to see what open source development can do for the emulation community, and can’t wait to see where the future takes us!

A massive thank you to everyone involved, especially our community. We cannot wait to start working with you!

Elysium Staff

Awesome stuff Shenna & team! :)

Just wondering, can people now simply steal this, host their own private server in the current state elysium is, call it their own secret core, then develop on it further without sharing anything?

Keep in mind they never had any intention of sharing this shit core of theirs but since it leaked it was the best public relations move to pull at that point in time.

Wasn't that leak almost impossible to get it all working together and outdated? I remember seeing some posts of 'coders' (i dont get any shit about this type of code) saying the leak was basically useless and hard to get it working.

In case I missed it and it was very usable, I guess you are right. But shit happend, we are at this point now :). I hope it will improve the legacy gaming community!

I'm offering 200g on Anathema to a skilled programmer providing the very few lines adding the final pvp gear update (new caster/healer weapons, fast off hand, etc.). I can provide you with a list of the item IDs concerned.

NB : It is a joke. Or is it not ? x)

Okay, might as well get this started off on the right foot

I'm offering a 0.1 BTC bounty for a pull request that is well-tested, accepted by the Elysium staff, and is merged into core that fixes this problem:

My guess would be in the ChargeMovementGenerator methods or something that uses them, nothing looks too off at a glance; seems like it would be difficult to find without a test environment.

AH is terribly slow and so maybe the communication between client and server is slow in this case as well?

Anyway, do I need to google how to assemble a server or you're post some guide too? I googled some info and read what discord guys chat about but would be easier with instructions on forum.
