Gahz - NINJA (Do not play/dungeon with)

14 posts in this topic

Who : Gahz - 27 Female Orc Shaman

When : Yesterday night, 9/12/17 @ 11pm EST

Where : Shadowfang Keep

What : I was the only clothie in the group and robes dropped off the last boss and Gahz rolled need on them, ninja'd them, hearth stoned and instantly logged. If anyone has the misfortune of meeting this player, please avoid / shame them at your discretion.

You've been warned about doing dungeons with this person.

Cheers

When its an enhance shaman that has been DPSing all instance and needed on leather already, and the only reason he needed on the Robes was to steal from the clothie, yes this is NINJA LOOTING.

Jeddite do you even know what ninja looting is?

They need all the stats on the robes just like an other caster DPS. There aren't many good leather options to compete with the Robes at that level. Absolutely not ninja looting.

Jeddite do you even know what ninja looting is? ffs dumb kids

"A party or raid leader who changes the looting system to "Master Loot" near the end of a boss kill and steals the loot off of a corpse without letting other players roll for the items. Especially one who sets up a group just for the first or second boss, and then hearthstones without speaking or claiming he has to sleep or work, meanwhile setting up another group to loot it again, perhaps prominent of Gold Farmers."

this is this servers defenition of ninjalooting. if yours differs, 2 bad.

That is SERVER RULES about Ninja Looting @flowqz , doing that will result in the GM's intervening and potentially punishing the user, which I 100% agree with. (However this is not the issue we're discussing today.)

For normal ninja looting i.e. people stealing items they can't use / don't really need (example: a warrior needing on leather w/ agility)

it is up to normal members of the community to sanction / blacklist them, the staff WILL NOT do anything about ninja looters as they don't and shouldn't intervene with loot scuffles between players just as Blizzard didn't back in the day. As many people on here say, your name is your reputation and by being a scumbag needing on stuff you don't really need will ruin whatever reputation you thought you had with the community.

On a soon-to-be related note -- don't feel obligated to post any threads about Druids or Shaman rolling 'NEED' on [Whitemane's Chapeau] -- that also is NOT "ninja-looting".

Okay here we go: He MAY have stuff like this: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=5317. And thats not even certain as he you can run SFK easily as lvl 22-23 and the mob is lvl 25.

It has 10 stats and whoopiedooh 87armor. Now look at the robes TWENTY SEVEN statpoints which a shaman can use. A sensible shaman until level 30 will ALWAYS use 1h + shield. Hewill put his totems down and use flame shock every 12 seconds, therefore even the spirit is useful. Why did YOU roll on the robes? It has +agi on it, agi is 100% useless for a caster. The +spirit is more useful for the shaman than for a mage or warlock at this level as they shaman casts every 12seconds, thats it, so he gets frequent mana replenishing ticks whereas a mage gets alot less mana from spirit. So for now it stands that its 40armor vs 17 statpoints for the shaman. What does 40armor do? 0,3% physical damage mitigation? Whereas +3agi is easily 0,3% at that level let alone the other stats. Shamans often go mostly for mana until level 30 because magic talents grant alot more in comparison to the physical ones.

Both of you were 100% in the right to roll on that. The 40armor is just neglible for the shaman and the stats are NOT.

Hey there, you're a dumbass -- nothing you described is "ninja-looting".  Snivel all you want -- I'm right and you're not.

Perhaps you could bottle up your nerd-tears and engineer some sort of time machine to travel back to March 2005.  Whereupon, you could cry on the Blizzard forums that somebody rolled 'NEED' on an item you wanted, and that player won the roll.  And to your ever-lasting nerd-horror, nobody would agree with you that that constitutes "ninja-looting."

@JedditeActually that IS ninja looting you fat ugly fucking turd, stop attacking people because your ass is a retard.

try to apply yourself at life instead of attacking people on a forum for a legacy game, lol pathetic

1) No picture, so the entire topic is based on hearsay
2) Clearly the OP is from retail if they believe cloth gear is only to be rolled on by clothies.

Most shamans are healing dungeons, of course they will want int gear. This is far from ninja looting but I could understand the OP being salty if they were the only caster in the group, they already had a healer (probably was the shaman if not a druid) and the shaman was melee base yet rolled for the int item.

Go cry in your own realm's section, not the general section. But better advice would be to not post it at all, as no one other than you will care about it. But if you're crying about a SFK robe, I question your future. I've seen raid boss drops jacked, like accurias. But you're crying over a SFK robe? You can level in the worst greens as a caster. Your gear barely matters at all. "but but muh robe got stolen" buy a 25-29 green and move on. In a few days or faster, you'd just be chunking it for something better anyway.
