1-60 in /played 3 days 9 hours 30 minutes

Recommended Posts

I've recorded my run through levels 1-60 on Elysium Project, in /played 3 days 9 hours 30 minutes. You can find it on my YouTube channel, which is named VarrakWoW (that's the only content the channel has), or I provide a link below, to a playlist with the whole run. This time is over 30 hours faster than Joana's videos from way back, which I understand were the record until now. I admire those videos, and they inspired me to try, but I use my own route. I was not twinked, etc. Enjoy.

Of course, it's not truly comparable to Joana since the behaviour/stats etc of the mobs and some quests are different to retail - as in the 1-60 journey isn't the same in difficulty here.

gz regardless

How could you even know statistical information from a game nearly 15 years ago? I don't buy it. It may be slightly different, but theres no chance whatsoever you have the capacity to remember those things. Humans do not work that way.

Scott it is common knowledge that all vanilla cores are based on MaNGOS which is backported from TBC.
Mobs have HP, Damage, resist, armor, etc values from TBC, not vanilla.

Of course there are a lot of accurate adjustments based on research done by the QA staff, but its definitely not like vanilla.

What Nelythia said, also you can look at the Joana 1-60 speedrun video for comparison to spot some mob behavioral differences between retail and manGos.

And how could I know statistical information? By research done by others and myself and just because you have bad long-term memory, not all of us do.

Nice content my dude, and I disagree the quality isn't bad at all, this is like 2040p compared to joana's recordings.

Congratulation on the amazing time.

And? Difficulty was not lowered in TBC, it actually got harder.

But nobody even said it was lowered. Are you arguing with a ghost?

You ok dude?

And in case you weren't aware; in patch 2.4.0 they made a lot of the old elites non-elite, changed mob stats, lowered the xp required for leveling 1-70 etc which has caused problems for servers trying to emulate retail vanilla since the most commonly used core nowadays is MaNGOS which first iteration and the data within it was pulled from TBC, not vanilla.

No they didn't. They DID NOT reduce experience cost. quest elites were removed in cata(any other elite isn't exp relevant). Some mobs were given haste in TBC which made them more challenging. I'm not an idiot.

Responding to a legit drooling 65 IQ slimeball but here goes.

From the 2.4.0 patch notes, which you can pull up yourself too to make sure I'm not fabricating it.

Leveling Improvements

Many leveling improvements have been made for the old world.
-  The amount of experience needed to gain a level has been decreased
between levels 20 and 60. In addition, the amount of experience
granted by quests has been increased between levels 30 and 60.
-  Level 1-60 dungeon quests have had their experience and faction
   rewards increased.
-  Many elite creatures and quests in the level 1-60 experience have
been changed to accommodate solo play.

Nice job of moving the goalposts you subhuman mong, only point I presented was that they made the game easier in TBC, it doesn't matter if its the last 5 seconds of the expansion (which it isn't), it'd still be true.

Now crawl back to your cave you absolute cretin and stop polluting this thread.
