Whats the point of playing on the test server? Like where is the payoff/allure to for players to participate

Pretty consistently been getting 2000+ Ping while playing today. This was not an issue before today and I ran speed tests and it does not appear to be an issue on my end. Other friends I play with are also having this issue. Typically the game appears to be timing out during this period.

Using my VPN seems to have fixed the issue. Weird that it affected all of us considering we don't all use the same ISP

No mention of latency issues on any discord forum or reddit.
