Completely agree. I'd like a RP/PVE mix. I want to play PVP but in Battlegrounds. I work full time and have a family to raise. Spending hours running back to a spot where I was ganked is not a viable way to spend my free time.

Thanks for being honest, and I do understand that this is one element of Wow - especially on a Vanilla PVP server. I never needed to be ganked endlessly to end up 'hating' the Alliance. I disliked Alliance for other reasons - through the law and the characterization as opposed to being trolled by other players. If this is all that Elysium can offer, then it is a shallow version of what WoW was to many. Wow to me was about exploring, law, open world, freidnships, raiding, PVP in battlefields... it was about FUN not HATE. I'm currently trying out a TBC server and it's PVP, and it's fun. Elysium is overcrowded with players who seem to be only interested in pissing off other players. And if you like that, fine - obviously. I don't want to spoil what you have. I do however think that this will lead to the server losing people. And maybe you will think that's for the best. I will pop in and out to see what happens with Elysium, as I have a soft spot for it still. But to be honest, the feedback I'm getting is that players like me are not wanted, or welcome.

Wow. Are you a representative of Elysium? With reference to the pure nasty arrogance you display with the following comment: "If you get really upset after being killed a couple of times in a row, WoW may not be the game for you anymore" It's not occasional, that's the whole point. I've been playing for months now, and this has become noticeably worse. So please don't treat me like an inferior being that you need to talk down to, it doesn't speak well for you as a person. To actually clear up your obvious lack of awareness - my last session was roughly 2 hours of play, and I got ganked 7 times, in different locations, with 3 different toons. Of course, you do have the option to wring your hands and do nothing, and I have the option to leave and find a better experience elsewhere. I'd rather not do that as I am rather fond of Elysium, and have invested a lot of time in it. I am currently exploring other Private servers to see if this is just the way it has to be (as you seem to indicate), or if there are alternatives. I believe Blizzard introduced mechanics to sort this in the TBC upgrade? So to finish up... your "people still play' comment really sums this up for me. Thanks for clarifying your position, it's helped me to clarify mine.

Overall I agree. However it seems to have got to the point now where this server is unplayable. I was ganked 3 times in 40 mins in three diff locations, by high level Alliance players, deliberately seeking low level Horde. I'm at the point now where I am going to take a break from Elysium because it has ceased to be any fun. I don't mind grind, I don't mind PVP, I don't mind the occasional gank when a player is within 4 levels, but the constant high level ganking/camping is basically making the server unplayable. So I do think it is the GMs/Devs responsibility to look at this. Whether it is a PVE server option as they had before, or a name and shame board, so that once a player gets X individual complaints it's a ban (which I know would be easy to abuse, but counter-measures could be looked at). I think there are lots of options to consider, and to ignore it will mean that players like me will migrate elsewhere, and these servers will slowly die. We need to engender a healthy, fun, combative environment, not a toxic, trolling, anti PVP realm. Because that's what this is - it's not PVP as I remember it, PVP has some sense of balance, of chance, of skill. This is mindless and moronic, tiresome and frustrating... and that's really when one wonders as to the point.

I've decided that I'm going to take a break from Elysium. That's a hard decision as there is a lot of positives to the whole experience. However, the low-level ganking epidemic has now gotten to the point where it's making this an overwhelmingly negative experience. I don't want to be angry when playing a game. What is the point in that? If we can't have a system to control this - either a PVE server, or some penalties for the deliberate targeting/camping of lower-level players... then I will find something else to do. In the last fortnight, I have literally failed to play for more than 10 minutes, in any number of regions, without this occurring. I don't know if this is purely an issue for Horde players or not, I don't know why it's got worse. I'm guessing there are perhaps a lot of players bored with content/waiting for raids? There's no benefit to them as far as I am aware other than the cheap kick from trolling someone. And that, last point is the one that depresses me the most. Life is too short to be surrounded by that kind of person/player. I've loved WoW for over 10 years - and I'd sooner leave than grow to hate it. And Elysium will lose players due to this. It will dwindle and die. I am going to check back to see if there is any change, but for now, adios.

I really detest/loath/get fucked off by this behavior and it is the single biggest thing putting me off playing on Nighthaven/Elysium. What fucks me off even more is the asswipes that make comments along the lines of "well its PVP, what do you expect?". What I expect is some fucking honor when playing. Killing low level players to, in effect, stop them progressing, is behaving like a complete cunt. PVP in concept is a battle between players, a matching of skill, muchlike a boxing match. Just wandering aimlessly around as a level 60 wiping out low-level players is trolling, and belongs to the very worst part of the online experience. There is absolutely no justification for it, no defending it, and players that participate in such behaviors should have their accounts locked. Doing nothing rewards this negative attitude and creates servers filled with complete and utter fucking cunts. I'm actually thinking of creating an alliance alt just for the purpose of calling these fuckwits out. And yes, this is the 'Vanilla' experience for some of you, but tbh, those of you that support it are the the biggest cunts out there - because you don't understand what gaming is. Deliberately shitting on people for no reason is the sign of a neurological disorder, not something to brag about or condone. Blizzard recognized this, as does anyone with any remote sense of 'fair play' and gaming to win/for the experience. I love the idea of a PVP server, but this doesn't enter that realm - this is is not PVP - this is a waste of time and Elysium/Nighthaven will atrophy because normal players will leave the second a better/fairer option appears. I'm hoping things change, I'm hoping some system of penalty can be introduced. I know most of the admin time is spent on gold-farmers, but tbh, they are vaguely annoying. The low-level gankers will stop people playing. Players will migrate to other free-to-play providers. And that's a shame.

It can be annoying, and it wouldn’t hurt to have a penalty to honour for low level ganking. I did hear that this may be in a future patch, but that might just be Barrens chat.

OK I've been trying to sort the addons issue out - but I'm still not getting some of them to work/be recognized. Anyone else finding that a lot of the Vanilla Add-ons aren't working? Main bug-message seems to be "Dependency Missing", they just don't appear, or there are in-game error messages Some examples of of common add-ons not working for me: Auctioneer, Postal (loads but in-game error msg), Aux, Mail-Master and Titan (in-game error msgs) Help appreciated.
