I don't know if this is still relevant but i would start with fury talents. 5 to Cruelty then 5 to Unbridled Wrath 3 to Blood Craze then Piercing Howl 5 to Improoved battle shout and so on. I want to play as prot but lvling with these talents starting with Fury. If you want you can respec to Arms at 40. I would recommend don't use rend save rage for something more important like Heroic Strike and stay in Battle stance. You can still tank with these talents if that is your thing.

TBC exp is by far the greatest one. Sure every exp is offering something special (backstory, enviroment, new raids, ...). IMHO vanilla is pretty good ... not so well balanced classes and you can't use every spell in raids because of limited slots boss have. Vanilla surely have some cons but still great game. TBC exp offers so much changes and improovments to the game that it feels like whole new (perfect) one. When i finish vanilla content you bet I'm gonna play it brah.
