Yes, you have to download client 2.4.3. And yes, the realmlist is the same "set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org". Once you log in, there's a portal to Shattrath City in Orgrimmar for the horde / Stormwind for the alliance.

I think it could be a success. The only thing that worries me is faction imbalance since they said: " Q: Will you provide incentives like other TBC servers to 'entice' players to roll Alliance in the event of a faction imbalance? A: No. " I hope they reconsider this if Horde has 70% of server population 2weeks after launch. Just in case... join us and fight for the Alliance! 😄

I've been playing this game for 14 years now, I've leveled a ton of chars, every single one of them in a populated PvP server, and never felt "frustrated" as people say here. I'll tell you the way I do it: - If I get killed, I try to fight after ress. - If I can't beat him/them, I quest on a different zone for a while. It's not that hard, just dont keep trying to break a wall.

I don't really know why alliance is more popular here, but I'd say it happens on most vanilla servers. TBC will not be the same IMO. Horde will outnumber alliance 90% chance.

Anyone who knows what good PvP is could recognize TBC,WOTLK,Cataclysm PvP were the best Blizztard has done, and maybe the best any other company has. If you don't like PvP, just say that, and don't make it look like a crap. But I guess you are just bad at playing it, and that's all. Indeed, there is no reason right now. But trust me, newcomers will COLLAPSE horde side. And free transfer will not solve the imbalance. People use to think Horde is better for PvP, which is not. Perception and Stoneform are the king racials of TBC given the current playstyle. I'll explain myself: People think WotF is the best racial because it makes you immune to fear and so.. okay, not bad back in 2007 when people didn't know how to deal with SL/SL locks. Trust me, people know how to do so now. So, locks are not the top class anymore, and there won't be so many. This leads to have WotF utility diminished. Priest and Rogue are the real TOP classes of TBC PvP, which will make Perception and Stoneform much more useful than the other racials. Now let's get into the PvE scene: Horde racials may be slightly better, but i think they're not that much. Anyway, it's an aberration for a blizzlike server to modify racials, so that's not an option. The only thing that comes to my mind is trying to balance Paladin population. Lots of blood elves, and I mean LOTS of blood elf paladins will rush to Horde since Seal of Blood is the only way a retribution paladin has to (if he/she's lucky) climb to top3 dps on an average raid. Possible solution: Modify a paladin talent to buff Seal of the Martyr. This should balance it just a little bit, along with the XP/Honor boost for alliance. Not the best option tho, it was one thing that came to my mind, I'm sure there are many other options. But, I repeat, population is a huge problem which could lead to server death.

*Human. Perception is the curse for all rogues/druids. Please. The point is making Alliance more attractive so population is 45-55 at least. This way we will have a healthy server. You don't seem to care about being 80% horde - 20% alliance, but you should know a server like that would die in 2months. You won't have people to PvP with.

I don't think it works that way XD There's a lot of work amidst. However, I would release it before March... since retail vanilla will diminish the amount of TBC players on release.

Hi, I would like to know if Elysium staff has been thinking about that faction imbalance every single TBC server is afflicted with. As many if you know, TBC servers always tend to be horde overpopulated. If you could please share your thoughts about this, and possible actions you're going to take, such as alliance experience/honor boost, cheaper mounts... I think it would be good for community to know and give their opinion. Rise up and talk, Elysium!

Well, my advice is you two should come to Elysium. In my opinion, people playing on Light's Hope are wasting time. I just don't see the point on playing vanilla over and over, they don't seem to have plans on progressing. Elysium built a future on TBC which gives us the chance to continue our adventure. WotLK after that would be just awesome too! I don't know if they will do it tho, but TBC will give players almost 2 years of absolute fun.

Welcome, jsams22 😄 If I were you, I would focus on choose a class for TBC, get it to level 60 and 300 profession skills. Once you're done with that, I'd enjoy vanilla until TBC comes. Blue/epic gear will be fine to start in Outland, it will make questing easier. I hope you enjoy Elysium!
