You see, this is your problem, you are a smart guy i give you that, but you totally lack empathy and realism. Not everything is what it is on paper, you never have 8 shaman even if you would love to have it in a raid, we are a melee heavy raid, about 90% of the times. Ofc we give all our melees windfury, then we divide shaman to other groups, iv had plenty opportunities to place myself in a shaman group. But i'm not egoistic like that. All specs have downsides and upsides, im very well aware of the limitations of disc as a specc, yes i know it better then you. But it is not worth the time to tell you everything there is to know, clearly you don't want to know. Yes, filler role means, what it doas, some fight are good with one extra healer and some might be good with a dps. I dont see how you do it in your raids, but im sure it cant go very smooth if you aren't adaptable, you seems to forget that we play on a private server with a 12 year old content. And still ppl try out new things everyday, some of them might be really good. Abit like real life. So i dont see the point of your posts, more then trolling or trying to tilt ppl, im very tilt. Happy ? :) Being humble gets you very far, but this is the internet. Good thing there is a block function. Should i need to use it ? i dont want to, but you decide. Just a short thing about innervate, ofc it would be alot better to give a class/spec that stacks spirit. I got around 350 spirit buffed, innervate is decent for smite. Sorry, im sure you spent alot of time answering everyone including me, would be abit disrespectful to not read it all. But i cant be asked any more, CBA. If anyone els have some questions regarding disc dps, you are more then welcome to PM me.

I never even played on ally, and no i get nothing served. No innervate, No shaman, No Boomkin, Nothing really, the raid give me nothing. Im 90% on my own when it comes to survive and buffs gained. This is what i do in raids, sure i can go really tryhard, iv done that too and its boring, i see ppl die. okej your problem "oh wait, that was the MT healer getting scarabs on him" When tryharding in bwl for example, im very often 5-10% ahead of everyone in damage done and dps, sometimes in big aoe packs i'm peaking at 1000HPS, my mages never die, never ever. they love me. Talk about off healing, it is 100 times better then healing as shadow. Iv done both plenty of times. The role i play is more like a filler role, im pre-shielding all mages and locks, a good example is twins, Yes i know twins twins twins, but that is just to explain the role in a long fight where smitepriests have a hard time to keep mana up. The worst fight in the vanilla content would for sure be patchwerk, you sit there and hope for rune or pot critt. But Twins twins twins... Iv seen us whipe plenty of times to know that our hunters have an IQ of 30 or so, that's a filler job more and less, we don't have dedicated healers for that, they should be able to kite all the bugs but no. Like i said that was an example, there will always be someone doing that job, i'm a smitepriest and iv always done the job very well. All that being said, it takes a certain person to like it and to be good at it, you need to be a nolife farmer to keep up the heavy use of everything possible buff you can get, runes are the biggest pain but also one of the biggest gains. You also need a good judgement of fights to be a good smitepriest, that you get from experience and knowledge. All this might sound very generic and yes it is. But playing smite takes it up a notch. It is a challenge, i recommend you try it. Now i cba typing,i'm gonna lvl my toon up and join The Blooders, they seems to be at the same mindset and playstyle.

Let this Fisher dude think what he wants, not worth the time to explain something when he dont want to listen. Besides there are so mutch more then being number one on dmg meters.

http://rewap.org/wws/bwl/actor_deetee.html not the best run, ill see if i can find some more later. This is data from one night all together. iknow that700 dps for 3-4 minutes is doable, the only factor is your mana. But like i said, 90% of the time i dont have a shaman in my group. Huge diffrence. Edit: If you click on a boss, that is only data from the boss itself, all mobs are separated.

Yea, always wanted to try smite on ally, sure would be alot better. As horde i rarly have a shaman in my group = no extra mp5, paladins are amazing :D If i have the will to lvl all the way to60 ill take a look at your offer :) So mutch more tempting to go back to a char that you have over 300 days played on.

Yes, but you can still get 75% of your spell resisted (RNG). think iv gotten 5-6 spells in a row as partial resist. Talk about resist, i use 9% hit. It is not worth to gimp yourself to get 16% imo (rng in favor), with full BiS (naxx) 11% hit is what i would go for. Critt is just a bonus that you can pickup where you can get it, there arent that many choices. 2012 i joined a guild called De Profundis, i got invited by Sarek who already played smitedps and they also had a semi inactive SP. So i joined more or less to replace him. Tthen 1 week later we got another SP. So we raided with 2 SP and 1 smite. There have been times where i had to go and respec from shadow to disc just to go back and respec shadow for next fight, could be around 200g per day just in respecs. So wouldent it be nice to have one spec both for healing and dps ? :D This continued for 3-4 years, then the debuff limit was fixed to 16 slots (down from unlimited) at the same time reg from spirit was halfed (tbc core, tbc values i think) +15 res on lvl 63 mobs and the top of the cake, coef where nerfed. From something that was really overpowered, 900~ swp ticks in warsong to 600~ ticks, also i could not use swp anylong in raids due to the 16 debuff slots and the crazy amount of mana it cost to refrash just to get it knock it off two seconds later. So i switched to smite, now we have 2 smite and 2 sp´s in our guild, most fights we can have all in our raids witthout a problem, just go with 1 less healer per smite dps and problem solved :D Yes, Yes this requires gear, wich is why i think that most dps priests should start as shadow, get Nefs Tear so you have around 6% hit from gear, if you still like to farm 20-30 demonic runes and get dreamfoil for 6-7 stacks of major mana potions + all other consumes per raid, then you should consider to play smitedps cos you will use more then you would as shadow. It is not for everyone, if you dont want to commit to the farming you will get bored playing the spec, being oom all the time no one is waiting for you to drink to full, tanks sometimes go from viscidus to almost at huhuran without dropping combat. :S (no combatbug) Reactions have always been good, but you need to prove yourself infront of ppl to get their respect, just talking about dpsing as a priest get ppl tilted.

Coefs for holy fire. swp mind blast and smite where "fixed" a long time ago. Partial resistance where also added, static +15 all res on mobs, this is where smitedps would be abit better. But i em not sure if holy dmg should have this or not. So if there would be no partial resists, the dps would go up alot. So far lvling as smite on zeth kur iv seen no partial resistance = smite dps would be better here then on vanillagaming.

http://imgur.com/a/C1fix This is from the start of bwl, i would say that smite dps is viable for those who want to use 20-30 runes and major mana pots per raid. At twins you can dps both: http://imgur.com/a/OxMjj
