Sorry to bring this topic back up, I was just wondering. I too played on the old Elysium project that launched in the summer of 2016, and saw that I can still find my character using the 'View Character' tool in the control panel, even when searching 'Nickname on the realm "Nighthaven"'. Is this merely a misrepresentation in the tool, as the character does not actually exist on Nighthaven?

Disable auto-mute until the chat-censor is fixed
Daishi001 posted a topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
People get auto-muted for 15 minutes when the chat-filter censors alleged spam/foreign language, not just from world chat, but from all chats. Private included, even whisper. This makes it impossible to trade or group, for no reason other than the chat filter being broken. -
Cap of 50g, decaying for 5g a month, down to a minimum of 15g (patch notes have been confirmed to be wrong on that matter).

So I decided to post this here in the general discussion instead of burying it in the bug tracker. There is a big issue with people who don't understand this game and then go on arguing on the basis of sciolisms and non-contextualized information and quotes. I'm talking specifically about this issue https://elysium-project.org/forum/index.php?app=tracker&showissue=2859, which was apprently brought up 5! years ago in this report https://elysium-project.org/forum/index.php?app=tracker&showissue=196. Apparently this issue has not been tackled for 5 years - because someone does not understand the information he himself is quoting. The last comment in this thread claims that "While Blessing of Light claims to add "up to" a certain amount to specific healing spells, in practice it actually adds the full amount to those spells. That is to say, it does not behave like +heal gear (which uses similar language), which adds an amount that depends on the casting time of the spell.". Now when you read the next sentence of this quoted paragraph, from the same source, you can see it clarifying that "If you compare Blessing of Light (Rank 3) with +heal gear, it's the equivalent of +268.3 for Flash of Light, and +560 for Holy Light.". As I don't speak Russian, I have to take Bovine854's word for it that the consensus reached in this discussion was that it is indeed correct that a rank 1 Holy Light heals for 450 with a Rank 3 Blessing of Light active, and was thus never changed. Anyone who has a basic understanding of this game can tell immediately that that is a preposterous claim. If we take the source (historic versions of wowwiki.com articles) as the truth, as is commonly accepted within private server circles, Blessing of Light Rank 3 is supposed to be equivalent to +560 healing for Holy Light. With +560 healing a Rank 1 Holy Light heals for approximately 150 health. A Rank 1 Holy Light with Blessing of Light Rank 3 active however, on this server, heals for 450. That's equivalent to +1680 healing. Not +560. That's off by a factor of 3. Can someone please explain thoroughly what is going on here?

Controversy in the Bug Tracker
Daishi001 replied to Daishi001's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I just tested it on the PTR, and it seems to be fixed perfectly! Thank you, great work! -
It's currently blocked on the PTR. I get why (enforcing English as the realm language), but at the same time I feel like it's unnecessary, especially given the international focus.

Controversy in the Bug Tracker

That refers to general spell power penalization added in 2.0.1. Spells in Vanilla had no Rank penalization beyond the Level 20 Penalty. They should have had, but it didn't until TBC. Blessing of Light was bugged in that regard, and still granted no lower-rank penalties until 2.3.0, but this is unrelated to the presence of level 20 penalties. The spell still was affected by level 20 penalties - which is why they are talking about "lower ranks" - not ranks below the level 20 threshold. Holy Light in Vanilla should grant you the full bonus once you pass that threshold - meaning starting with Rank 4. I agree that it is still very strong, hence why the +healing penalty was added in TBC. -
Controversy in the Bug Tracker

Have you read what I just posted? Read the entire quote from the source everyone is referring to. It states how much bonus Healing the spell is equivalent to - 560 for Holy Light. But on this realm is scales up to 1600+ bonus healing when using low ranking spells. You can't just take half of whatever you're quoting so it fits your narrative. Blessing of Light grants flat bonuses, but it still should be affected by the level 20 penalty - because every spell in this game is affected by the level 20 penalty. The calculation goes as follows: Level 20 Penalty Multiplier = 1 - ((20 - sLvl) * 0.0375). sLvl hereby refers to the character level at which the spell can be learned. This is undeniably true, and everyone in this thread claiming that it isn't should just read up on it in one of the near infinite number of sources on the internet. As I have stated in my post yes. Good job catching that! Then I don't understand why the post was linked on the new issue in the bug tracker. Are there many trolls spamming irrelevant Russian information on non-related things to confuse the majority of the community? -

Character transfer from Valkyrie?

While I can see your interest in them allowing for such feature, you have to consider what it would do to the new realm. It would essentially turn it into a still-birth; it would essentially not be a realm-release at all, severely damaging the chances of people starting to play here. -
Hello, I've been testing things on the PTR for quite a bit now. What I'm missing most right now, is a level command. A command that allows me to set my own character level, in order to test our low level content with a level appropriate character (regarding resistances, weapon skill, glancing blows, aggro range, and so on). Would it be possible to add such a command? Or is there a way to request GM command permission for the PTR? Thanks.
