Two accounts on the same LAN

According to whats currently posted in the rules thread, it's not against the rules. However, may we please find out if the anticheat/autoban component will flag us for it?

    Remote gaming

The rules say botting programs are against the rules, not playing on your PC remotely. Can a GM please clear this up? thank you

did you try it, or speculating?

Two accounts on the same LAN

i admit the thread title is misleading i should have called it "goldtrafficking over the same LAN" Allright let's see if i trigger a ban if a friend _lends_ me 30 gold logged on my ip, my mac adress, just like he was visiting me and helping me out with cash, huh?

it's also meant to emulate the following situation: i go over to my real friends house, he shows me his char, i decide to lend him some money (one-time login from an IP diffrent from the one i usually play on)

Indeed, it's speculation, and theory, i totally agree. So if someone were to log on on MY machine from MY ip adress, while my account is inactive/logged out (no multiboxing), and mail me say 30 gold, log out and then i go on my account and play on, (meaning if i were to simulate getting sponsored by someone playing with me, from my own home /same LAN as me) will I or will I not get auto-banned for gold trafficking? Keep in mind that it's not against the ToU (or if i am mistaken please correct me)

He didn't get banned for "multiboxing" the reason stated was gold trafficking. wich on the same LAN/same public is absurd. How likely is the auto-banning script likely to create these false positives? Imagine one day you're getting a boost from someone while he's boosting his gf too, the next day said guy gets banned. "gold trafficking" and final, 2 appeals i think. It's normal to get freaked out, right? And now im searching and seeing there are some people reporting the same stuff, some guy even got accused of being the friend he's posting stuff for.

I mean come on, i want a clean server just as much as the next player, but i think we ALL need to know, that innocents don't just get flagged as goldsellers for paying a warlock for a summon or sending over gold for friends they play with.

So if i boost family playing with me, and send them items and gold *nothing* will happen to me? Because i was with someone in party doing just that, got banned for "gold trafficking". for sending over 30 gold.then he went and pleaded against it and nothing. "you're trafficking old and thats final". What guarantees do I have, at this point, witnessing all this, that the same crap won't happen to me? Or anyothers for that matter?

    fishing schools?

Exactly! Now we all have the recipe. Even tough both the recipe and the fish type were introduced in 1.11. Imho those shouldnt have been in from the start. But considering that there's recipes depending on such fish types perhaps they should just be re-introduced.

Mob Stealth detection broken on Nost??

yet theresa *confirmed* "BUG" on the bugtracker, that demands stealth to further be nerfed. https://elysium-project.org/bugtracker/issue/941 the proof in the videos seems arguable at BEST. do you guys agree?

Mob Stealth detection broken on Nost??

I agree, I have a nelf rogue and get spotted quitea few feet away by mobs 4 levels lower than me. Stealth rank1, but still makes in-door sneaking by lower level mobs impossible, wich should not be so.
  13. What he said. Pretty obvious imho. At the end of the day, either unsung heroes or blizzard pawns, we're all just SPECULATING It's so easy to automatically assume the worst of someone, don't you think after all they've done, they deserve the benefit of the doubt?
  14. I am not familiar with your example, but for what i'm about to say i'll consider it to be the truth about it. But the fact remains, that the situation with Nostalrius is quite different: there's no Internet providers in the middle standing to loose anything, Blizzard suing people is quite a real thing, Nost devs stand nothing to gain giving out code, afterall they've done a lot of work for the Vanilla Wow community, why would they most likely avoiding legal trouble be so reproachable? If Blizzard would be suing *YOU* for something, and they'd have a good case against you, would you still piss in the wind thinking they won't move against you, the media would kill them, look at what happened in Sweden? They have a right to look after their own safety and interests, rather then some character database.
  15. Wasn't it clear that Nost was going to back out of the private server scene after a while? What, you just thought they'd risk their neck forever handing out the Nost core while still in Blizzard's crosshairs? And how would you back out if you were them? Would you not say something similar? That you'll have no more part in it? *OF COURSE* games companies do not take legal anti-piracy measures from fear of attracting hate from paying customers. It makes *TOTAL SENSE* that retail players would up and quit WoW because of stuff like that. I'm with Orocnogu on this one, you make no sense. Why are you *really* posting all this stuff? Trying to achieve something?
  16. Sad to see so few people posting something that's actually worth reading on the topic and so many rabid dogs barking ad biting away at the hand that once fed them. 41 pages of mostly hateful replies certainly shows how dissapointingly thoughtless the "community" really is. Hope this puts Nost devs in the clear. I for one thank them for everything they tried to do so far
  17. Are battlegroups going to be implemented at some point?
