that's a very good point Duki - previously you could see who the voter was either up or down

well he was stupid and did all of the down votes from his one account - and I don't believe there was a 10 vote cap in place at the time either (not 100% sure though) but it shows how the system can be duped with dummy accounts and/or friends/guildmates/trolls banding together to $hit on someone's reputation by downvoting their posts on an industrial level that's all I'm saying

Because we personally have been the target of its abuse in its original inception here on Elysium - back in December and prior to the merge with Nostalrius, Holystrike downvoted every single post that either Duki or I had made on these forums which led to the moderators removing the voting system completely. Holystrike ended up getting forum banned for his actions as a result.

People can and have showed their dislike for both mine and Duki's posts for years - comes with the territory and we welcome it - the downvoting system is a joke however and open to rampant abuse If people want to disagree with what I have to say then man up and type it out - don't hide behind a masked down vote and then get all of your fanbois to do the same.

Unfortunately, the Golden Rule doesn't apply to the internet - the entire "When they go low, we go high" mantra doesn't work in the age of 4Chan - just ask Hillary how the first 100 days of her presidency is going so far...

Oh I agree, I'm just pointing out the fact that when people say that downvoting is representative of whether someone should be listened to or not on the forums or worse yet, forum banned if too many negative votes come their way is suspect.
