Hey guys. I'm looking for some advice on improving overall performance in 5mans/UBRS as a tank. To give you an idea, I'm on the pre-AV Patch as holy/prot hybrid (30/21/0). I have every tank boe and just about every raiding item including mageblade. I also have a hand of Edward. The main thing I'm interested is: What's going to be the best way to reduce the amount of healing needed; gear wise. Best way to combat against the occasional tryhard dps? For example I'm talking about the full 100% bis fury warrior with BRE who can open with a 1k Whirlwind crit on all the mobs. How important is defense in 5mans/UBRS?

Regarding that last comment, I simply got really lucky. It was during elysium's unofficial raid ID reset on an non-raid day. We brought like 25 trials to the raid so it went to the only raider present who didn't have it...me lol

Heartseeker is a good option. Lots of gold to craft tho.

I did about 440+ runs on my paladin without seeing it drop once. Still don't have it.

Hey theloras quick question on full t1. Do you benefit the most from the set bonus by being in a full melee group or a normal tank group setup? (Pally/lock/tanks)

These aren't solo farming spots but I love tanking strat live,just reserve the orbs and spam it for a day. Another option is doing 12 Minute lava runs and pulling as much fire elementals as you can within 12 minutes. That alone makes pretty good gold then you can also sell HOJ as well. If I'm solo farming, I'll aoe farm demons in felwood or dme lashers.

My first 60 in vanilla I was doing the same. As a hunter, you'll maximize your gold per hour by solo farming mara. If for whatever reason you cannot do it, you can 3man farm magistrate/unforgiven/hearthsinger/rares in stratholme. You can make upwards of 50 per hour and as little as 25. Alternatively you can learn to monopolize the AH

Missing paladins

My guild has asked me to go Blessing of Sanc and willing to have a BiS offtank set + FR set. http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#sEhubxoxxbxhxz I'm only required to buff Blessing of Sanc, thoughts?

To add, feral tanks are great for off tanking. My guild will usually bring one to buff our highest performing melee dps. Although they are very gear dependant and advised to be played by an experienced player to minimise the cons and maximize their pros. More pros: tank that can dispel when they don't need to tank. An extra innervate and battle res. If you min/max your druid tank, their cons can be deluded by their extra utilities (crit buff/innervate/brez).
