  1. I'm not quite done with this questline, but all was well up until Dashel Stonefist's part (quest/mob) - not a big deal, but defeating him the first time did not complete the quest. I abandoned it and tried again and was able to continue. However, the questline soon took me to Menethil Harbor to talk to the barkeep, where was I was to 'stop' Tapoke "Slim" Jahn from escaping (quest/mob). This scripted event did not occur, and Tapoke never spawned. Not a problem, per se, as I was immediately able to simply talk to the barkeep to continue the questline. The questline then moved me onto Theramore, where I was to search for a guard in a tower. Now my memory from vanilla, and Wowhead confirms, is that in the tower Archmage Tervosh should be there to tell you that Jaina was looking for you (quest/npc). No such scripted event occurred, the mage npc needed to finish the quest was simply not there. Without looking it up, it would be impossible for the average person to possibly know how to continue this quest line. But, once again, I was still 'able' to complete the questline by manually walking myself back into town to find and talk to the mage at his other location. Even in vanilla there were some problems with this npc in particular, as he teleports himself around and still has the exact same npc id in both locations. I also hear he's supposed to cast this spell on you as you move onto the next part of the questline (and that also did not occur). So, after beating up Hendel (quest/mob), according to this post, Jaina and Archmage Tervosh should teleport to my side. Once again, no teleporting of npcs happened, but I can turn in the quest after running all the way back to town (this is starting to get tedious). For now I'm just saddened by the missing flavor and this is as far as I've gotten so far in the questline, so -- I'll report back if there's anything else down the line.

    Raise the AH limit

(I apologize that this isn't exactly constructive feedback--) I don't think there is anything that can be done without some custom work being done. I know the limit was definitely at 200 auctions by mid-2010 with the remote auction house app, because I can find documentation of that, but that's quite a bit past vanilla at that point. But the limit of 50 is probably a good thing. I'm not crazy, hear me out -- It discourages people from over-farming low level mats, leaving room for lower level characters to pick up and sell things better in their own level range. Players will set their focus a little higher, because the higher level mats they can sell, the more money they will be making. It also discourages people from mass putting up auctions in small quantities. Which can suck as a seller, I know, because you know sometimes people want smaller stacks of cloth, herbs, and ore - they just sell faster in clumps of 5 or so. Your best bet is to leave an alt to be selling your stackable goods and only mailing at full stacks. However, rest assured, both trade goods and armor eventually reach the point that an extra 30 copper to mail around won't make you flinch - not when your gains start to exceed 50 silver or more. This is still a good thing for the economy, again, as higher level players won't bother shuffling around low level mats and gear after a certain point, leaving room for that new player market. Try to think positive. Invest in bagspace - full runecloth by 30 if you can -- it's totally worthwhile and will pay for itself.

    ToS Question/Hunter Pet Name

Thanks for the response! However, it looks like the name wouldn't go through the filter, anyway. All special characters seem to be off limits, too. Oh well! He's now "Lucifel" instead. :3
  4. In the ToS, it implies I should refrain from choosing names for characters/guilds that might have any religious implications. Naturally, I assume any naming policies carry over to hunter pets, as well. Back when I played retail vanilla, I had a pet bat that I'd named Lucifér. While it was never flagged for a rename in actual WoW, I don't want to get in any trouble here. The simple solution would be for me to choose another name, but I have my heart set on it. (If a cat in a Disney film can have this name, I don't see why I can't here.) Arguably speaking, I'd personally also find it hilarious to see a hunter pet named God, especially for PvP purposes. But I also understand why that would bother certain people. How firmly does this rule apply to hunter pets? Will I need to choose another name for my pet?
