  1. No, i'm not suggesting a cash shop idea at all. I also don't think a Cash shop would attract more players either. After looking at Deceitful's video ----> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n12MoDPiHGk I got to thinking about possible situations to help, because i for one REALLY enjoy playing on Elysium and i don't want to see it die. So what i was going to suggest to the Admins to at least think about is... A boosted XP Event. There are many players that i see in streams or r/wowservers who are curious about Elysium and want to move from whatever garbage server they're currently playing on, however they don't want to do the leveling process all over again. It's really tedious when you think about it, 6-8days played (sometimes longer) back to back from nost to kronos to elysium, it gets old fast. Not everyone is like me who overly enjoys the leveling process more than end-game content, and that's okay because everyone's different! "we cannot break a promise we've made: to leave this world untouched from outside, let it develop naturally, without artificial modifications from the staff." While this was in response to the community asking if faction transfer could be available in response to long queue times, i can also see it relating to this as well. This is probably going to be the BIGGEST hurdle in making this xp event idea a reality. Many Pservers in the community (specifically Vanilla servers) have this same goal in mind as well. The only 3 servers worth playing on at the moment are Kronos, The Rebirth, and Elysium. Kronos and The Rebirth have both had some kind of XP experience gain in the past in hopes of attracting newer players to go on their server. The outcome of these events? It worked! These events weren't permanent events either, they lasted for a very short period but in that time they attracted players. With blizzcon around the corner i think it's the perfect time to implement something like this sooner rather than later. I don't have an exact perfect time frame, but with AV coming out and DM being released, definitely before BWL releases. So i would say possibly if the event started soon and lasted for the duration of the year (since the next 2 months are big holiday months and many won't be able to invest the time into the game as they have the past ~2months). There are many players who i see quit daily because they're unable to get dungeon groups for lower level dungeons and figures "the server is dead if i can't get a group for BFD/RFK" or can't get groups together to do Elite quests in The Wetlands/Hillsbrad. This event will bring an influx of new lower level players, possibly bring back older players who quit halfway through the 60 grind. Now i'm also not saying players should be able to get to 60 in 1 day either, it should still take some resonable amount of /played time but should definitely not take the 7+ days it requires currently. I have never played on a boosted exp rate server so i don't know how these things work for the most part, 3-5x rates maybe? I have no experience on it so i can't give you guys a proper idea about it. Now i don't know if everyone would be fine with this. I know there's a lot of people who will have the "It took me 8 days to get 60 and it should take you 8 days too!" mentality but let's face it, what's the point of being 60 if eventually there will be no one else to play with due to population declining? As a fellow 60 on the server i don't care if people starting off got an exp boost, i like to see dungeons being ran on my server and BGs popping. It means the server is active. " In the past, the Valkyrie administration acted apart from the player community, but right now I see that we can't rely only on ourselves. So I ask you, the players, to listen to our worries in the same way we pay attention to yours. The player count is dropping daily. I believe that if we want to work on a playable server for people who actually need it, we must work together." Let's get the community involved and work together then! If the majority of Elysium's community thinks it's a great idea as well as the admins of the server, then why the heck not? What do we have to lose Vs. What do we have to gain? Lose = We tried an idea to boost population, didn't work and we're back at square 1 thinking of new ideas Gain = Gain an influx of players and make our community bigger One thing is for certain though, we must act FAST and come up with a decision sooner rather than later. We really can't sit on this for a couple of more weeks.
