This has been happening since today. While only using my bow to attack, and having an 2h axe equiped, I'm gaining 2h axe skill ups. I told this to another hunter and he said he was also having this issue. Like I said, only since today.
-
Still happening. It's not just 2h axes either.

I've tamed beasts while they were being feared. You don't need the beast's attention.
-
Happens mostly after using a flight path. It's annoying.
-
I got the exact same problem. Scanning the barcode works fine. I get the 6 numbers. But when I try to use that code (before it changes) it always gives an error the code did not work. I am using the latest code. I gave up.

New Server - Horrible IdeaEverquest replied to Tornadari's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions No, you're a bit late. This thread is a reaction to that video.

New Server - Horrible IdeaEverquest replied to Tornadari's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions That makes no sense! we don't want them to quit! we want those players to play! They won't just leave because of the leveling to 60. They leave because of the ridiculous queue! Make Blizzard see how many people want Legacy!

New Server - Horrible IdeaEverquest replied to Tornadari's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions Tell that to the 10k players in queue and the who knows how many more that hit the cancel button because they don't want to deal with that crap. A new server is the only solution.

Massive queue, 10k+ server cap, 8.5k online. Bans required.Everquest replied to cybaster's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions If you somehow can keep the current queue intact. It would work. All the people that were online need to be placed at the back of the queue. But 3 hours is of course not long enough.

Where is the server for employed people?Everquest replied to Anova's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions This may be true. But you're waiting for people to give up and not play the game they want to play. While this is functional for the persistent player. It's also very wrong. I want Nostalrius/Elysium to be a statement. A huge sign for Blizzard, so they feel the pressure to make official legacy servers. And to do that we need everyone, that wants to play, online playing vanilla. We need another server. Saying they should just play on Nost PvE or Nost PvP is not right either. Because most of the players came out of hiding when Elysium PvP launched. They been waiting for the fresh server. There are 10k players in queue as I type this. And who knows how many more that canceled their login attempt the moment they saw the huge queue. That's more than enough to fill another fresh server and we'll probably still see a queue.

I can't access to the new fresh server Elysium PvPEverquest replied to dariobs's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions You're not the only one. How many you think log in, see the queue, and say hell no not waiting 5-7 hours in this 6k queue! And then close the game again. I think many. So you have the people playing... the people willing to wait in queue, and then the people that cant afford or be bothered to wait 5-7 hours to play. There are just too many of us that want to play on Elysium PvP. Resulting in only the hardcore no-lifers getting in right now. Like I've read somewhere else on this forum... we need another boat.

I got past authenticating and into the queue 5 minutes ago. The queue was surprisingly only 1600.
-
Unlike what Elysium staff says in tweets. You have to keep spamming the login server. Staying in "authenticating" for more than 3 seconds is pointless. Hit cancel when it takes longer. Spam login again. I understand that by doing this we're becoming part of the problem as the authenticating problem is caused by too many people trying to log in. But by telling everyone to wait 30 seconds and even to restart the client (which is total nonsense) you are hurting the honest player that follows those instructions. While the spammer gets rewarded for non stop trying to log in. It will still take many tries, you still need to get lucky to get through it, but spamming it every 5 seconds gives you a better chance to get past it and make it to the queue.
-
Even if the population dies down. Part of the reason for that happening is that people get tired of waiting in queue all day, and not playing the game! I want everyone to be able to play. Not just the people that can afford to wait 7 hours to log in.

So much for elysium VANILA !Everquest replied to DRAGUNOV88's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions oh come on Dragunov88... don't be like that. Those changes are needed to be able to have 10k players online playing and enjoying the game. It won't stay this way. As soon as they can change it back to normal, they will.
-
So much for elysium VANILA !Everquest replied to DRAGUNOV88's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions I'm sure that's the reason yes. And it's not just after they been looted. When fighting 2 enemies, you better loot the first one right after it drops dead, because it will disappear before you managed to kill the 2nd one. With or without you looting it.

That's not fair Stormhart, his idea was not that selfish. But it's not a good solution. People would be waiting for hours in queue, finally getting in only to find out the server will restart in 10 minutes. But the keeping yourself online while you're afk / sleeping does need to get fixed. Because if we all start to do that, we'll have the same 10k people online and the rest can't play ever. So yes, some sort of auto kick should be in place if you're standing in the same spot for too long or something. Kick them to character select. And after afk there for 5 minutes kick them back to the login screen. I've seen people auto jumping in inns, running into walls and running in circles. Clearly afk and keeping themselves logged in. I don't have the perfect solution to fix this, but maybe somebody else can come up with something that's fair to all of us. Waiting in queue for players that aren't playing FeelsBadMan.

I can't get it to work either. I downloaded the google authenticator on my tablet. i got the email with the logo i need to scan. i scan the logo with my tablet, i get a 6 digit code. i enter the code before it expires I get an error: "The six-digit code you provided did not work. Please provide the latest one from the application." no matter what, I always get this error. I can wait for the code to change, and try that code... still the same error.

I am curious does GMs care @ all about ninjas?Everquest replied to Tubbylul's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions I know it's not the point, but his need roll was 98. Of course still ignore the guy and never group with him again, but I would just see it as a winning greed roll.

You're not alone. I don't think we have to worry about it just yet. When I try to use the Elysium control panel I get the following error: "Authentication request could not be processed due to a system problem." I think the password error is the go to error right now. It's not really your password. It's the server not processing your information correctly.

I'm going to start out playing a hunter as well. I'm picking SK/LW. LW is very nice for a hunter because it offers a lot of good agi/sta gear. You'll be good on gear all the way to 60. It will be leather instead of chain, but for leveling it's fine. It gives a good base of equipment to build on. After getting level 60 you can drop one of them for enchanting. Dropping skinning is the safe bet. You can level it in a few hours if you ever decide you want it again. I'm personally going with dragonscale LW. As I plan to level a fury warrior and druid afterwards. Black dragonscale is decent starting gear for a fury warrior and the druid will get leveling gear handed to him as well. It works out perfect. But ya, like you said. Herb and mining especially will be a nightmare to level.

Elysium fresh server timelineEverquest replied to Gropy's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions I'm absolutely 100% happy with the time line as it is. It's a window of at least 6 months where new players can join the server and still experience the start of this game. If you only play 1 character and play from day 1 non stop. Ya you'll finish the content well before summer when AV is released. But the server isn't there just for those players rushing to 60 and trying to clear MC asap. Others will want to level multiple characters to 60. Or only have 2 hours per day to play, or they join the server a bit later on and still got plenty of time to level to 60 before AV opens up.

LF Exploration Leveling Guide 1-4ish!Everquest replied to Tubbylul's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions There is no point leveling to 5 with exploration. All you need is level 3 to be able to solo lvl 5/6 mobs in the area outside the starting zones. Some classes may need to group up and duo them for a bit. Kill exp is much faster than exploration exp. We are doing the exploration because we can't kill stuff. Once we got past that and are able to kill things, we should. Alliance can get to level 3 in 15 minutes. If it then takes 45 minutes more to get to level 5.... you're wasting time. In 45 minutes of killing level 5s you'll get much more exp. Horde is tougher. Getting to level 2 only takes 7 minutes for orcs/trolls if you dip in the water to explore the echo isles and head to razor hill. you'll ding level 2 at razor hill. I'm sure you can take out the level 5s at the Tiragarde keep if you group up. three level 2s can do it no problem. If Tiragarde keep is overcrowded you could decide to run to mulgore as tauren is the least played race. Undead needs to explore quite a bit in tirisfal glades to get to level 2, but after that they can group up to kill level 5 enemies. Tauren should just run straight into Brambleblade ravine. skip the starting quests. group up right away and grind level 4 boars and such. and get the hell out of there once you ding level 4 and move to Bloodhoof. This of course only works if you're able to play the moment the server goes online. If you're unlucky and find yourself in queue.... all of this goes out the window.

Gold Buyers: the real problem?Everquest replied to Dralek's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions Every compromised account needs to get banned. Because people lie. If a VPN was used to log into the account last and gold was moved, there is no way to tell who used the VPN. It could very well be the account owner using the VPN and now claiming his account got hacked to try and get it back. Because gold farming accounts do this, I'm afraid legit accounts that got compromised have to suffer the same fate. Example: A gold farmer/seller from France logs into his account normally for months. Main focus is farming gold, but he groups up a bit on the side to make it look somewhat more legit. After several months he reached his goal, he farmed enough gold, thousands of gold. He now logs into a VPN for the first time and moves the gold. He now expects his account will get banned, but of course he will try to prevent it. He will go on the forums and claim his account got hacked. Elysium cannot see the difference. Even if it was a full tier2 account that got compromised. It could still be a player that decided to quit the game and sell all his stuff just before he leaves to get something out of it still.
