We get it, not one guild would let you raid since you played on feenix, and the ones that did such as mine promptly kicked you out of said guild after your first raid... as your gear and realmplayers reflects you dont need to keep rubbing it in our faces man.

Scypheroth is the exact type of "troll" who didnt even play on nostalrius and is attempting to spread hysteria and misinformation while proving he knows absolutely nothing and hasnt even taken the time to do any research before trolling, As many people have pointed out already nostalrius was a great place to level and at no point, did anyone who actually played there feel left behind due to gear or gold because the established community made it easier and the gameplay more accessible to anyone who joined a quick realmplayer's search of Scypheroth reveals: http://realmplayers.com/CharacterViewer.aspx?realm=NRB&player=Scypheroth Scypheroth Level 9 First Seen: 29-12-2015 Last Seen: 29-12-2015 What can we take from this? not only did he not even play on the server, he played for a day during its most popular period; didnt even make it out of the starting zone... and then never logged in again meaning he didnt even see a horde player during the one day he played on nostalrius... I advise anyone to actually either read comments from people who actually played, or look at the countless first hand sources of video footage and nostalrius forum posts before making any conclusions, and especially before reading posts like the ones previously mentioned.

goodluck! Anyone else should feel free to post their reuniting or newly formed oceanic guilds here as well, It's hard enough finding a guild which raids our time or anything similar, let alone an oceanic one so hopefully keeping them referenced here will allow for easy communication

People still seem to lack the ability to see the big picture as i explained before this is undoubtedly the best move for the entire server. Dont be a member of the community who demands as much as they can get as fast as they can get it... That literally directly led to the state of current retail wow. Be a member who wants whats best for the server. Think about the good of the community, and the balance of population; ask any nostalrius player, scratch that go and look directly at the nostalrius forums, and you will see that the number one complaint which anyone on the server had was that the pvp server was over crowded. In fact I remember one announcement and there was like a 40 page hype train surrounding the possibility of a second realm being released which would relieve the overpopulation the realm faced, and the disappointment when i didnt happen. The decision made by the admins is not only calculated and carefully considered; it is the literal best possible move for the server to preemptively account for these issues which we may eventually face. through an equally dispersed community we will have a better quality of gameplay on every server, and the best and most effective way to achieve this is through a staggered release of the realms for Elysium.

Mmm sorry if i seem hostile in some posts, but as you can see through the majority of the posting in this thread its just people complaining harassing and insulting... I think realm names have been covered:

@Etsuri I love etsuri's post I dont think he actually read his own post, first he claims that people will chose low pop over high pop regardless of fresh start or not, then instantly contradicts himself saying he refuses to play unless its on the new server... that contradictory circular logic. If he actually cared about this server at all he would either: A ) start a new character on the pvp server as he claims others would or B )wait until the release of the server Instead he refuses to and says he wont play if he doesnt get his way... just lol dude... @Papakoko I suggest actually reading the first post thoroughly but anyway; briefly summarised this decision has been made to accomodate basic trends in social dynamics: Pros (of staggering the release): Through releasing the pvp server first it will mean that new players who have been deterred from joining the original realm due to the rumours and misinformation spread by people who didnt play on it; or are trolling, will be able to see that in reality it isn't a bad environment to play on at all and through playing with members and guilds who have already geared up, with content on farm and an established economy they themselves will be able gear up faster and get money faster while having access to content on the pvp server faster and a year ahead of the fresh server. Cons (of not staggering the release): People who are new to the server assume rumours and speculation are true and as a result dont even try to play on it leading to an infulx of players on one server and a defecate on the other. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snowball_effect The decision being made in regards to realm release is about population dispersement, ideally the best server will be one where we have a 50-50 split over both realms and through a staggered release, it means that new players wont all immediately jump on the fresh server and we will hopefully achieve this balance, through staggering the release we will hopefully achieve two servers with a 50-50 population split which will last many years which could potentially have cross-realm battlegrounds as opposed to one sever snowballing the other imploding and one realm eating the other

Another perfect example of the players who complain about the pvp realm being released first in order to benefit the entire server and dont care about elysium at all. All the players who are complaining about the release schedule, dont care about the server at all and what is actually best for the server. All they care about is what they can get and when they can get it. In reality these are the exact players who will quit after a month when they realise vanilla doesnt hand out free epics.

Mmmm as can be seen through post's such as Topkek's: These members of the community don't care about the server at all, all they care about is what they can get and how fast they can get it... anyone who applies any thought whatsoever to the decisions made in regards to the release schedule for the realms can see that these choices are not only calculated and carefully considered but are the best move in order to ensure that every realm of the server thrives and that we as a server can be as successful as possible... There really shold be some system in place to stop people making troll accounts

Thanks for the update guys, awesome news! I think it is actually a really wise decision to release the servers in this order and will hopefully lead to a balancing of the two servers, in addition to giving players who are still finding out about the start of elysium/return of nost a good chance to get back online and rediscover their characters. It will also give some sanity and actual perspective, in regards to what its like to play on Nost PvP as opposed to the hysteria some posters have been spreading; meaning people will actually be able to see that that playing on nost pvp will actually allow them to catch up getting gold and gear faster in addition to not having to wait an extra year before they are allowed to enter aq like the "fresh server" will have to. Unfortunately 6pm GMT is 4am in australia so I will be probably passed out, will the stress-test be over an extended period? or purely for a short stint of time?

eh goodluck man, oceanic guilds are hard to come by and the main server already had like 3 actively raiding australian guilds... hopefully you can find a guild you can raid with among the new members.

It hasnt been mentioned anywhere specifically to my memory but I am fairly sure I heard there would be population caps on the servers set around 6000 online (dont quote me this is from memory), hopefully this would deter one server having a negative affect on the others, e.g the fresh server for people who dont want to compete vs the pvp and pve server

The pvp one is the main one where the entire previously existing elysium and nost community is the main one, the fresh one is generally for people who are new to this server

The main server for sure, I have a fair few old guild members who will begin player here again on it

People need to stop arguing and start celebrating, move forward as the new Elysium community! the gms have already announced whats happening and its undeniably awesome because it benefits literally every demographic: The Elysium will become the largest most popular global community, gets a sorely needed huge population boost and multicultural community allowing people in all time zones to raid pvp and play together no matter what time of the day, an enriched economy which will be mediated through the community instead of controlled by the few players lucky enough for certain profession drops or whatever, and litterally the best scripted core in the world for vanilla wow. The members of nostalrius get a new home and a reason to start playing again, bringing 250,000 players; reuniting the wow community once more and allowing the awesome legacy of legacy wow to continue The new members get a server freshly created just for them so they dont have to compete with the members of Elysium or the members of nostalrius. The situation is litterally the best of every world possible, nothing could be possibly better then this so lets hear some more thanks and some less complaining

the servers being rolled back so people who did stuff like that in the final weeks wont lose their stuff

I cant believe how much excitement over this merge! haha I went to go an practice a bit on an instant 60 server since I havent played since nost went down, and literally all anyone is talking about is Elysium, the merge of cores and the return of the Nost DB, it seems the hype train is absolutely massive at the moment, and it will just get bigger as more and more people find out about it. I cant wait for this announcement on Sunday; keep spreading the word guys the more people you tell the more who will return, so many people are so excited to continue their vanilla experience where they left off this is going to be incredible!

From the information provided (Don't quote me on this because im not 100%), the current state of the server seems to be similar to that of a PTR until the database is unfrozen, in that all your equipment/gold/materials are there but will be reset to before the merge once it is unfrozen. To this extent one thing you could do similar as would be done on a PTR is you could use this time to bug test any of the bugs you are either currently aware of or may suspect to be present in order to prepare for the relaunch; not only would this improve your gameplay but everyone else's on the server

Based on the information which they have already provided it is pretty clear: The voting Is more then likely some random poll which a forum member made and has no relevance to anything. "Fresh Start"; as was explained in the original post of this topic, refers to one of the new servers which will be made aimed at catering to people who didnt play on Nost or Elysium or would prefer not to play on the main database server. As was covered in Pottu's post, the Nostalrius community was huge, with over 250,000 active accounts many of which were below 60 or had just hit 60; this in combination with the fact that many guilds will now be reformed and the internal community redeveloped by the player-base no member will be left behind. However it would seem that there will be no transfers to the "Fresh Start" server From my understanding, You shouldnt have a problem logging into either your current Elysium or Nostalrius account so long as you either: Know the Log-in information Possess the attached email information which this information would be sent to in the event of you forgetting your account information (similar to any other forum or game) Just read the posts guys... the gms have been really helpful with all the information they have provided and for the most part have already all the questions asked.

Docholy these posters are trying to start a buzz and influence people away from the main database server; its pretty transparent, however it wont change anything. ill put dollars to doughnuts the original database will be the most successful server and the "new" server will be a ghost town within a month after these guys realise they dont get free purples like they did on retail, as it was made clear in the multiple previous disucssions theres overwhelming support for the return of the community and the minority who were against it never even played on nost... mmm doughnuts.... Anyway, I for one cant thank Elysium enough for seeing to the return of our characters and for reuniting the vanilla community once more... This servers going to be awesome!
