At least one month? For all we know it could be January 1st, which is a lot less than one month.... We know its at most 5 weeks from yesterday (Maximum). So yes, maybe a month, but It will prob be less than a month.

I understand the delay: Family > WoW Christmas present release date Will this include guilds as well or will we have to recreate them/start new ones? Monday: YAY! Can't wait! Tuesday: Wednesday: Yay finally! Thursday/Friday: Cool cool. Overall: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I wish I could hibernate :/ But finals are preventing me.... Luckly they are over by Thursday so I won't have to worry about them when the server launches.

Cat on fire? That sounds like an interesting story... Please tell. *Grabs Popcorn and sits down*

Yep, where a lot of quests actually require you to find help, rares are impossible to solo, and there is no dungeon finder, you have to look in general/trade, or whisper random ppl until you find enough. Its not a easy game, all the challenges you see today (ironman, passifist, etc...) in vanilla.. are literally impossible. It is almost guarenteed you WILL die MANY times on the way to 60. So take your time leveling and enjoy the ride and take it easy, because it will be hard.

17th for the old PvP and PvE servers, and the fresh will be released sometime within the next month (could be just a couple days after tho)

I second that. Cookie? I want a cookie! Give me a cookie!

Who said it won't be released before Christmas? It's 3-4 weeks at most, not 3-4 weeks exact
-
They didn't set a solid date because they don't have one. They are still preparing the server and making sure it is "good to go". They don't want to release a date yet because they don't know if it will take 1 week or 2 weeks or even 3-4 weeks. They will try to release it ASAP though. I imagine they will probably only give us a short 1-2 day warning before it is released though once they have things ready. And as of the timing, I do agree, winter break will be over, people will be resuming work, students will be heading back to school and it will be odd, but agreed there. But as the server is not ready, I don't blame them for their choice in making it later. This would be a time to remember though that even the old nost PvP, about 80% of the level cap players were still MC and pre-MC so you wouldnt have to catch up too much to be with most of the crowd. Agreed

The stresstests had their own accounts and characters. The PvP and PvE servers that are being released the 17th will have your characters.

Woke up from my nap to see see this new post I see a lot of repeat questions and not fully filled-or incorrect responses, so I'll throw in some more info that I remember. They said at most 3-4 weeks after the 1st release, they did say they are hoping for a lot sooner though. They have stated multiple times that fresh will not be 1st, this news is months old. It will come soon™ (within 3-4 weeks) In PvP servers if your in friendly territory you are able to choose to be marked for PvP or not, and while in neutral or enemy territory you are automatically marked for PvP and don't have a choice. In PvE servers, you can choose to be marked in both friendly and neutral, and are only forced to be tagged for PvP if you're in enemy territory. So the difference is whether you are able to choose to be marked for PvP or not in neutral territory (PvE), or if you are forced to be marked for PvP in neutral territory, Agreed. Now for a question of my own: Will you guys be releasing a timeline of events and content releases for each of the server, like both Nost and old Elys had? (I.E. progress bar showing Gurubashi patch estimated release, and how far through the current content we are). And if so, when will you be releasing this? Thank you in advance for your answer! Finally, Thank you so much for all your hard work Elysium staff! We appreciate it so much, and even if some people do seem upset by 1 or 2 things, they are still happy that you are giving us this opportunity, even if they may not say it. Thank you so much and I pray that God blesses you for your devotion to the legacy community!

The Final Test — World PvP Events & Release Date
XreaperDK replied to Shenna's topic in Official Information
That's not necessarily true. A stress test like this is to find out their maximum and how much they can handle, not to solve the lag. With that many players they will probably never be able to solve that lag problem, even with the best equipment modern technology could provide. The point was for them to find out what the server could and could not handle, and what minor fixes they still need. They might still need 2-3 weeks to release it, but it won't be specifically because of how much lag you had. It would be for making sure the servers are ready and loaded with the character databases, and last minute bug fixes, and maybe a few lag tweeks, but not mostly lag tweeks. (Please note I'm not an Elysium staff member so I could be wrong, but this is what I believe from what server experience I do have - which isn't too much)
