Lol yeah, having a raid time of 10pm makes it a bit difficult. I know many raiders like to finish up around or before midnight so to get a decent nights raid in the raids may start at 7-8pm usually. Test frames are simply just dummy frames that appear so you can see what your UI looks like as if it were fully functional. Like on your screenshot you can see the test frames for your party and raid frames for example. I expect that we will get lower latency. I managed to pop on the Elysium realm before they got taken down for the merge and if I remember correctly my latency was ~200 and my internet is rubbish lol. To use the same UI setup for Elysium, all you'll need to do is: 1. Navigate to World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/[ACCOUNTNAME]/. In this folder you'll find a list of every realm you've logged on to. 2. Navigate to the folder corresponding to the realm of the character that you have the completed UI on. In this folder you'll find another set of folders for each character that you have on that realm. So for you, I think it's going to be something like World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/[ACCOUNTNAME]/Kronos/ and you'll find a folder in there called Synesthesic. I think I spelled your name right lol, a bit hard to tell from the screenshot xD 3. Copy that character folder into ../[ACCOUNTNAME]/Elysium PvP/ so that when you create your character on this realm with that same name (or rename the folder if your character will have a different name), the game will load your UI settings from that folder. You'll need to create the folder Elysium PvP and if that isn't what the realm is going to be called later on then you'll have to rename that folder (ensuring that it is exactly as the realm name is, including capital letters).

Nevermind lol turns out my version wasn't up to date xD I can see all the test frames now
-
Oh my god how did you get test frames like that DX You said that you're free from 10pm? I'm based around Northern Sydney so that works for me. I'd usually start a raid earlier than that but it's still early days so we'll see what we can work out. My job is very low committment time-wise so I'll be on wow most of the day lol

That's my UI with all the elements shown. As you can imagine - it looks a lot prettier when all the elements aren't lit up lol. Haven't really started thinking of raid times just yet, just looking to bolster the numbers first. I've just written up an ad for the guild: https://elysium-project.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=22954 but I haven't really put down a lot of detail about it just yet.

Okay sweet PM me whenever I run: Atlas + AtlasLoot Auctioneer Bagnon Bigwigs Cooline Custom Nameplates Discord Action Bars DPSMate GLOCK KLH Threat Meter Luna Unit Frames Mik Scrolling Battle Text MobHealth MoveAnything OCB3 Prat Questie Stubby TheoryCraft TinyTip URLCopy Vanilla Consolidate Buff-Frames (VCB) It's a bit hard to find working addons for this patch version. I've been working on that list for about 2-3 days now, trialing different addons based on their description. I've discarded so many of them lol. In terms of recommendations, I would definitely recommend Auctioneer, Discord Action Bars and VCB. In terms of guilds, I'm actually going to start one as soon as the realm comes up. I've already got a couple of friends who will be joining and a website to go with it lol. I've been pretty bored these past few days xD I want the guild to become a progression raiding guild. That's pretty much all I play for - progression raiding lol. I want this guild to be what people think about when they're looking to improve their raiding experience. I've led guilds in the past and there really is nothing quite like it. You establish almost a community within the game and it really grows on you like nothing else EDIT: I do have a character, a level 60 mage coming across from Nostalrius, but I won't be playing him at all I don't think. My focus is entirely on this fresh start realm
-
Sounds like a plan I'll be playing on the fresh start realm - Suzerain announced that it will be a PvP realm. I'm gonna be a Human Warlock How about you? Do you have any characters from Nostalrius?
-
No worries, I do believe it does present a decent opportunity, but only if you have the hard to get formulae and if you can have a couple of materials on you spare like a righteous orb then you can charge a small fortune. But one massive advantage of Tailoring/Enchanting is if at a later time you find you want to drop one of them, you can pick up any profession knowing that it won't affect Tailoring/Enchanting at all. EDIT: Nope I think you've pretty much got it nailed lol. Bags are always in demand and a service fee for enchanting is, in my experience, expected.
-
You're right by saying Tailoring and Enchanting do go together very well. Both of them are standalone professions. Depends really on how much farming you'd like to do. Enchanting isn't easy to level up and you'll end up disenchanting a lot of items you find in your posession. If you did drop one and pick up a gathering profession you've got a pretty generous source of income on your hands if you're okay with farming for materials (and don't forget, it's a PvP server so if you don't like world PvP (like me) then that'd be a bit of a challenge). My personal preference is Tailoring and Enchanting. I find that both of them can provide enough income for me to keep me happy also I enjoy the convenience of being able to craft my own gear and enchant it for free. EDIT: imo any profession combination (within reason) is good, it just really depends on the question, do you care more about being self sufficient or making money? But that's just my two cents - I prefer self sufficiency lol

The Nostalrius TBC project
Alumian replied to TechnoMulen's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Very keen. I'm in no rush to see TBC because honestly, I'm perfectly happy having them rolling out the content as they are. I've been playing Warcraft since patch 1.0.8 but back then I never really got the chance to fully explore the content. This is my second chance and I don't plan to miss a single bit of it. -
Hi guys, I'm new to this community and joined only just before the servers went down for the merge. I've noticed in the "The Birth of Legacy: Nostalrius Returns" thread by Shenna: My issue: which timezone is server time? lol

The Nostalrius TBC project
Alumian replied to TechnoMulen's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I agree with you Tholren. My thoughts are - there are only so many times you can be grinding through Naxxramas before people get bored. Blizzard had a fantastic game in Classic, but if they still had it today, well, I imagine the game would be close to dead by now if they didn't progress further (whether that be through expansions or further content patches). I would love to see Burning Crusade progression and like you said, 1-2 years down the track would be perfect. -
Yep there was actually a thread started up earlier today regarding this issue: https://elysium-project.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=22918 EDIT: You're in Sydney too? wooooooooo

Suggestion - Time settings in Profile off?
Alumian replied to Shaylin's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I'm finding this as well. My timezone is set to +10:00 (AEST). The current time as I write this post is 6:59pm (local time) but in my control panel, the time including adjustment is 10:47am. Thoughts? -
Which server will you be playing on?
Alumian replied to Vye's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Just letting you know just incase you didn't know - the fresh start realm will be a PvP realm. I prefer a PvE realm as well, but over the past few years I'm starting to find PvE realms a tiny bit boring. Usually I'm that guy who just likes to get on with his own business and leave the killing to the battlegrounds but there is a bit of a thrill with picking a fight with someone who totally doesn't deserve it every now and then xD -
I was able to log on shortly before the realms got taken down, I think I was sitting at around 200ms ish so pretty good lol You?

[Discussion]Best race/faction/spec for Warrior (Non Tanking)
Alumian replied to Shaylin's topic in Warrior
I haven't looked extensively into this, but I think that an Orc would be your best choice for a dps warrior. They have their racial ability Blood Fury (Increases base melee attack power by 25% for 15 secs, reduces incoming heals by 50% for 25 secs / 2 min cd). Although it is important to note where it says base melee attack power, kinda makes it not as great as if it were total ap (but I suppose that'd be rigged then). Additionally they get a +25% chance to resist stun effects from their other racial: Hardiness. Alternatively there are trolls which have their racial which is Berserking: Increase attack speed by 10%-30% depending on your current hp percentage (100% health = 10% attack speed) and they also can maintain 10% of their health regeneration during combat, but tbh I don't think that's really going to save you. I'd much rather a +25% chance stun resist any day over 10% sustained health regeneration considering the hp regen is really low compared to how much damage a player/creature can do to you in the same amount of time. The alliance don't really gain any combat benefits that would be great for a dps warrior. Night Elves have a passive bonus dodge chance (1% I think), humans can significantly improve their stealth detection (take that, rogues =_=) and gnomes can remove movement impairing effects. In terms of appearance I feel like orcs best suit it as well. I believe that blizzard designed them to be warriors (especially considering the orcish culture and their activity throughout previous warcraft games). I guess what I'm trying to say is I like Orcs best as a dps Warrior. EDIT: I usually don't play as a warrior so I can't comment on the feasibility of any talent builds. -
Which server will you be playing on?
Alumian replied to Vye's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I'll be playing on the fresh start realm despite owning a Nost character. A chance to start again where the entire realm has been rebooted? That's actually really appealing to me lol. -
Lol thanks, I'm actually thinking of starting one. I've run a few guilds in the past and I really love doing it.
-
Ah okay - Yeah I'll definitely be settling in on the fresh start realm. It's starting at the Molten Core patch and I saw an online poll which suggested a significant interest in the fresh start realm which I really wanna be a part of http://www.strawpoll.me/11589399/r
-
Which one will be the main one? lol I thought they were just making a PvP, PvE and a "Fresh Start" realm. I'll be playing on the fresh start despite having a Nostalrius character.
-
Reporting in from Sydney and I'm -encouraging- two friends of mine to come along. What realm are you guys gonna play on after the Nost. merge?
