Hey all, I know this is one of "those" threads, but would love to see what you have for input on race/faction/spec for warrior (non tanking) and the pros and cons of each. Fury leveling? 2h fury? Arms? We have seen all of these discussions before, but for those of us that are joining or never played vanilla warriors before. Let's get a discussion going on what your favorite is and why, min/max doesn't matter and the pros and cons for each.

So, something I never knew tanking as a prot warrior in retail, is that in order to increase your AoE threat on multiple targets, since we do not have that many AoE taunt abilities, is to use Battle Shout. Battle Shout increases AoE Threat by 55 per person it hits, so if you multiple melee in your group, and multiple mobs coming at you, Battle Shout will increase your threat, to keep it on you instead of everyone else. Demo Shout increases by 43 per mob demo'd I'll try to find the article again where I read that, but I found it the other day and that it was a private server only deal, but it was on wow wiki or something to that affect. Below is the list of threat values for the important warrior moves in vanilla. Sunder: 260 Revenge: 315 (if the revenge stun procs, adds 25 more threat value) Shield Bash: 180 (if interrupted a cast, adds 50 more threat value) Shield Slam: 307 (increases with Block Value) Shield Block: 0,5,10 (if each successful block generates 1 rage from talents, each rage point will generate 5 threat) Thunder Clap: 130 (not usable in Defensive Stance, has a 0.8% threat modifier) Demo/Battle Shout: 43/55 (43 applied to each mob for demo, 55 multiplied by each party member buffed for battle) Cleave: 130 (this is split equally if hitting two mobs, so each one gets 65) Heroic Strike: 196

Is it worth it to do this quest chain? I'm sure questing will get you closer or better items, but is the chain worth it to do to get all the items of said set? Especially I guess if you can get a high level char or do it in groups to get the items needed? Kind of like the WW axe, the earlier you get it, the way better it is from a stand point.

I believe ModUI based off this thread here https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=21880&start=540#p232212 But, for those people who use Prat, can anyone explain why it shows CLINK to everyone else and why does it break for non Prat users or how to resolve the issue? I haven't tested ModUI in awhile, but is there a way to resolve it, because CLINK in chat is just annoying in my opinion

So AV/ had just come out, so that would be around patch 1.5ish or something like that, so the things out at that time would have been: The War Effort if I am not mistaken (not sure about this one) Onyxia Molten Core So I think you would be fine rolling on the PvE Server

vQueue is still around, not sure if the mod maker is coming back or not but I know it still works on 1.12.1 servers. Should still be fine.

I believe that they are going to be an itemization based on 1.12.1, could be wrong though

Da Phantazm is not actually a girl. It is a guy who does different voices and just makes videos based off on open season on China. Videos are funny at times, but yeah... He changes voices all the time Plus all tickets are reviewed by the GM team, so I wouldn't worry about reporting. Besides, how would they know you reported them unless you posted on the forums about reporting them?

I ran that instance so many times that it makes my eyes bleed. Then the one time I run it as a healer, the damn shield dropped. I was so salty. Yea, I am just now in that part where I have Blood Craze for the /sit command, useful at the end of a fight to get a little bit of healing out. Although it doesn't really regen *that* much health.

Totally forgot about that. I need to set up a macro to do that. Would need tac mastery to have enough rage to do that though.

First rule of Farm Club haha... I agree, you have to be good with numbers and find a way to keep track of everything. I'm not any good at it, but if you can follow and keep up with the market you would be pretty set on any income needed.

Eh, any guide that throws things together like that, usually is not worth its salt for anything. It looks rushed and not well thought out.

When you say weapon damage, you mean the numbers on the weapon. I.E 45-72 damage or the actual 50.2 damage per second?

Actually, I was doing this on kronos to prepare for Nost release. I took mining/BS and although yes, BS on a fresh account with no external help might be a bit deep, but if you establish yourself and get BS high enough, you can make all those green items and put them on the AH for people to buy as they will be needing items themselves. Sell all items on AH and anything you don't need and you should be fine. It really isn't that bad of you put your mind to it and don't look at the levels but the bigger picture.

Yeah, I mean if you can get the items easily at around 25 so you can go into RFD, I guess it would be good. Probably not worth it to go out of your way to get it. But if you can get the set items it would be alright.

I agree on Kronos I get better threat generation with pull, blood rage, then Battle Shout when in range of my party. Didn't get a chance to play Nost, but since its Nost server scripting/core, I would assume Demo would give you better rage.

Yes, please, would love to learn more about tanking in vanilla. Did most of my tanking TBC and later Duki, yeah I figure as much, but the only way I have been able to hold aoe threat in say VC when running it was to spam BShout/Demo Shout to keep the mobs on me. But this is also on Kronos, so.. who knows lol
