I can completely understand that. I would love it if you chose to create a late night raiding guild and, obviously, would be there each and every night I'm so tempted to play on Kronos in the mean time but don't want to start to just abandon the character and do it all over again on Elysium I guess it's back to endlessly farming NM Mephisto for a set of Titan's Revenge Ceremonial Jav's to drop Can you think of any reason why it would be beneficial for me to start leveling on Kronos now? That Titan addon stated it was out of date in the addons list and when I tried to use it in-game, there were no options to choose from in the menus. :S Banana works great, Theo! That is exactly what I was looking for - small, unassuming and easy to use. Thanks! Mate, I found a Damage Meter addon that displays live information! It's called DPSMate and appears to work great! Thank you SO much for that step-by-step! That will save me a whole lot of time and would have been a very nasty surprise had I just gone in to the new server blind... Latency of 200 would be great as that is what I had when I previously played retail WoW. Yeah, I know it's going to be a struggle to find a serious and successful raiding guild that raids later on each evening. It sounds to me like yours won't be a late night raiding guild? Wow, you are based in Sydney!? What unbelievable luck! Yeah, I would be able to sit down and really focus on a raid session once my wife has gone to bed each evening which, to be safe, is around 10pm sit down time. I have found it difficult to find a Raid Group that raids at a time 10pm and later but I really hope we can work something out What's the name of the Guild you will be starting up with the Fresh Server, anyway? Not sure what Test Frames are but I am very happy to hear that you got yours working to your satisfaction now, as well This picture was taken with a character on the Kronos Server, the Latency was about 400. I am very much hoping that we get better than 400 on the Elysium Servers. Do you know whether we will or not? Another important question I was hoping you could clarify was, now that I have set up my UI the way I like it (at least until I find other addons that I want), is it just simply logging on to the Elysium Server once it is available and my UI will look exactly how I left it on the Kronos Server or do I need to save each addons current configuration to a Profile for it to be saved and remain the same on a different Server? Prior to our discussion, I was using Recap and I had been told that there wasn't a DPS Meter addon that displayed live information during an encounter. Thank you for letting me know about DPSMate!!! You should post your UI so I can see what you have been up to over the past few days I'll do the same once I've seen yours (and stolen all the other super useful addons from your UI) I am in the market for an awesome looking cast bar. I will be playing a Human Mage I am brand new to this Nostalrius / Elysium Private Server thing. However, I think I will be adopting it quite seriously. I have spent the entire evening setting up my Addons so that once the Fresh PvP realm is available for play, I will have everything set up and can dive straight in! Are you a previous Nostalrius player? Are you a member of a Guild or looking to get in to one? I am wanting to get myself in to a serious Guild that has serious aspirations for downing Raid Content. That's a bit of a bummer as I love the live information. I have a sharp competitive nature and I loved knowing where I was positioned compared to other raid members during an encounter. Going back to the screenshot below, are you able to tell me what Addon provides that small Raid Icon menu on the left hand side, directly above his chat window? Additionally, looking at the top of the screenshot, is that TitanPanel? So I have been messing around with Recap and, please correct me if I am wrong or have not found the functionality as of yet (which I hope I haven't!), but Recap looks to only report on statistics once a battle is complete. It does not display live information during the course of an encounter? Live information was a feature that I really loved watching. Have I not set it to display live information or was this a feature that also came later down the road? Thanks, Theo! Syn

Tailoring / Enchanting it is then! You and I should hook up once Elysium is launched. It's always a good idea to have a support network of mature and helpful mates to make the game that much more enjoyable! What do you think? What realm are you thinking of playing? I am thinking of a fresh one, whether it be a fresh PvE (if one is even announced) or PvP, I am not sure as of yet. You've just got all the answers, Theo! That is a fantastic Action Bar Addon! Thanks! So, in relation to DPS Meters, there is no Addon that is advanced as Recount is in WoW these days? I tried Recap but it looks a little primitive compared to Recount. Did Recount come later down the road? I'm going to keep messing with critical addons so if any more come to mind, please post in this thread as I am refreshing this page constantly in hopes of another post from you As always, thanks, bud! I can't remember much from my WoW days. In your opinion, Enchanting and Tailoring do provide enough opportunity to earn an income? Enchanting other people's gear for a fee. Selling bags and other cloth gear pieces. Am I missing anything? Thanks, mate! Syn

Thank you Theo and Pottu for providing that confirmation. I will spend some time going through that page and selecting the addons I believe will be of benefit. Last but not least, I was planning on having access to the Elysium realms to set up my addons so that, upon launch of the new realms, I could simply log in and get going as fast as possible. I know that the Elysium hosted realms are now permanently down prior to launch. Are there any other Private Realms I could log in to in order to set up my installed addons? Will these addons remain how I left them when I log in to the new Elysium realms? Thank you for your guidance, guys! Syn

Would it be possible to compose a list, with download links of the very best and most useful addons for Vanilla WoW in this thread? The reason I ask is that I am always a little cautious when looking at posts encroaching on 2 years old. I am wanting to ensure that the file I download is safe and will not harm my computer. With the above having been said, I do not want to cause more work for people if the forum thread provided by Theo is the best resource around. I just think as this forum is going to essentially be the new HUB for Elysium players, that a definitive list of the very best and most useful addons could be a great resource housed on this site. I am available to play each week night from approximately 10pm. Does that suit your playing shedule at all? I also dive head first in to endeavours such as this one. I may not be able to play all day every day any more due to work and family, etc. However, when I do sit down and play, I am very serious about the experience and getting as much out of it as possible. I want to be a serious raider who holds a core DPS role as a Mage in a serious and successful guild and raiding group. Let me know what you think of all of this. I will be playing Vanilla for the very first time along with playing on a Private Server for the very first time, as well. With that having been said, I am the kind of person who likes to know that they are starting out at the same level and with the same resources as every one else. To this end, I will be starting a fresh Female Human Mage on a new server. What I would like to know is whether this weekend's announcements will include a new fresh-start PvE server as I am only interested in PvE content. Or at least, I think I am. What concerns me however, is whether PvE realms have a high enough population for myself and other players to feel engaged in relation to seeing other player's while we play the game. Perhaps, it would be better for me to roll on a PvP server due to PvP being historically more popular server's over PvE one's? Any guidance on what decision I should make would be hugely appreciated, guys! Cheers! Syn

I for one am hugely appreciate of what you and the team around you are doing for the WoW community that are looking, oh so, forward to the launch of your servers. I wish you and all the rest of your team all the very best of luck and efficiency over the coming weeks. This will be the very first time I have EVER played Vanilla WoW and the very first time ever on a Private Server. I am hoping it is a very positive experience because I plan on spending a lot of time playing if it is so. To this end, I want you guys to do whatever you must to make the gamer's experience as optimal and enjoyable as it can be...
