As much as I approve and admire the work they are doing to ban goldsellers, i highly doubt its 100% effective. For example another of my guildies got banned for mentioning gold and a website link in the same sentence, silly mistake to make, but still counts as an unfair ban I suppose? He got unbanned a day later though!

Im glad you guys are entertained by our failure to see his scumbaggery :P I know i shouldn't have put the blame on Elysium immediatly, but I just never expected to get fucked over by a core member so bad. Welp, better admit my mistakes and learn from it. At this point im just glad that the dude got banned because fuck people that manipulate and lie like this

Well I feel foolish for trusting someone like this. Especially after risking my own reputation defending him 'because he seemed like a good guy'. I just cant wrap my head around how a core guildie ive been playing with for over a year leeches gold off of our guildbank because he claimed he needed consumables and such for his questline. I then buy the 3% hit scope for him to reward his great effort completing the quest, and it turns out he ваууin bought over 1.3k gold and still was arrogant enough to accept our guild money. PSA: Nobody can be trusted guys, even after having them in your core for ages.

Alright. I now feel like a total idiot for blindly trusting this guy just because ive had him in my core for over a year. Thanks for the quick response. When I get in touch with him ill give him an earfull because he also put our reputation on the line here by claiming we we're the ones getting him banned by supporting with guild funds. Sorry for wasting you guys' time. I was sure I could trust this guy and went out of my way to help him, lesson learned I guess.

Well the point is that people are getting banned for stuff that should not be bannable in the first place. Receiving assitance with gold? Anti cheat might pick it up and ban you. Getting hacked by goldsellers? Almost a guranteed ban. Selling an item well above marketprice? Almost a guaranteed ban. My point here is that the anti cheat picks up on stuff that might be suspicious but is in no way a bannable offence UNTILL looked into. Banning first and then looking into it is the wrong way around imo. Log these things, look into it and then ban people judging by the information gathered after said investigation.

Yeah you raise a valid point. Even though ive played with this guy for over a year now I can never be 100% sure that he has not broken any ToS even though he tells us he hasn't. But the ban does happen to come in a period where we heavily supported him with some gold/items from the guild. So we figured this was the reason (IF he hasnt broken ToS and lied to us about it, which i highly doubt) Yesterday I reached out to a GM and asked if this would be an issue and he told us to be careful with such things since the anti cheat might pick up on it. Today we talk to a GM and he tells us the anti cheat does NOT pick up on this kind of stuff. So two GM's, two different stories. Maybe make sure the whole team is on the same page on these matters Elysium? Its worrying that we're getting two different answers from two different GM's.

Well our biggest issue here is that we're getting punished for helping out our guildies by giving them funds for stuff like pre raid BiS, assistance with epic questlines etc. We have a guildbank with a pretty decent amount of gold and materials that im now afraid to use due to random bans. This needs to change because I can imagine we're not the only guild dealing with these issues

Ayyylmao. No but seriously, we're a really tight knit guild and losing people ive played with for ages to stuff like this really puts me off playing on this server. They claim they want Blizzlike, yet we cant help out our guildies in the fear of getting a ban.

Issue has been resolved. Guildie betrayed our trust by claiming the support of our guild got him banned. Turned out he bough a ton of guild.

Ah, we're an alliance guild. So that wont work hehe. But i wouldn't worry about finding a guild as a prot warrior, alot of guilds will be created/rebuilt on launch

Were you alliance or horde on the old pvp server? And in what timezone? My raiding guild is rebuilding on the old pvp server and we will probably be needing a tank or two
