150 isn't bad, tbh. It makes PvP interesting, but other than that it won't affect you too much with the mechanics of Vanilla. Ask an Aussie, they are used to playing with much higher latencies on a routine basis. You could also explore the proxy services to see if they are worth spending money on for your situation (your mileage may vary), they usually give a 30-day free trial.

- Another private server wanting to drive users away from one server, so they go to the other server (which is for-profit) - A player who feels they got screwed by the GMs, so they are trying to get some payback. - Goldsellers who aren't able to conduct their goldselling operations the way they would like, so they continue to harass until they get their way (I think this is what happened to Kronos) This is the internet, everyone is anonymous & some people turn into sh!theads when there are no repercussions. The fact that private servers are somewhat shady in the first place (they are forced to be in order to stay away from Blizzard) means that sh!tty people will do sh!tty things and will get away with it, because nobody wants to get the authorities involved and shed light on something that's already questionable.

Elysium is on 1.4 (I believe) and Anathema is on 1.8

You can solo farm a lot of shit as Druid. If you pick up Skinning, you can skin what you kill at the same time. If you had leveled Alchemy, there is a daily transmute cooldown that can be used to make gold in various ways. Without professions, get ready to grind, a lot!

I have experienced Tranq getting cancelled early, never could figure out why - thanks for getting some discussion started. It's especially annoying to have it cancel after only 1 second when it's on a long cooldown. I really find it useful to heal aoe damage in raids. It would be even more useful if it actually worked as Blizzlike.

The leveling process is on rails, there is no sense of accomplishment. Anything that isn't handed to you with little effort will be as soon as the next patch comes out & anything less than a month old is nerfed so the mouth-breathers can feel special with their epics.

One of my characters can't see the /World chat channel. If I do /leave World and /join World I get messages that I have left & joined accordingly, but nothing appears in the Chat window. I did verify the channel is selected for the chat window (right click on tab/ selct channels and making sure world is checked.) This is only on one toon, the others are fine & running the same add-ons.

It is listed as a suffix on Wowwiki - whether or not that means it was on retail, is hard to say...I don't recall seeing it myself, but I wasn't playing a class that would have any particular interest in weapon damage. Also it might have been in the game files (hence the Wowwiki mention) but the devs might have turned the droprate down to 0%. Vanilla was pretty basic as far as suffixes go, and it seems more logical to me that it came in one of the expansions.

You won't be able to heal max level dungeons until maybe 59 and you have some decent gear. You can, however, heal a lot of things like BRD, LBRS, DM East and work on gearing up. In addition to the Living Leather there are some other things you will want like Hammer of Grace (BRD), the healing gloves from last boss in DM East or the ones from BRD, the belt from DM E, the pants from DM W, the Ghostweave crafted set to fill gaps while you grind your pre-Bis, etc. If you do all the dungeon quests along with grinding the dungeons a few times for gear, the XP gain is decent so you can go resto somewhere in the mid-50's depending on how much dungeons you want to do.

Elysium wasn't here last January. There was a thread on the Nost forum questioning whether "of quality" items dropped in retail vanilla, or if it was a TBC suffix. Because the stats are clearly OP.

The other thing that hasn't been mentioned is the retail servers were designed for players in a single geographic zone - NA, EU, etc. Private servers have no such limitation, you will find players or guilds who are coming from various countries, much more so than it was on retail.

I'm pretty sure that the online databases like vanillagaming are showing the 1.12 version. The information from previous patches is usually datamined from the web.archive.org

If you shared your account info, if your computer got keylogged sometime in the past...those are just a couple reasons I can think of right away, I'm sure there are more reasons.

I don't see the harm if it's between two consenting players. I've seen similar stuff happen in raids, as well (on other servers).

While they're at it, put back auto-dismount indoors like it was on Nostalrius. It feels bogus how you can ride into many buildings and interact with vendors, etc while still mounted. It's completely non-Blizzlike.

Mostly I think there are now three PvP servers, including two new ones that are just starting out in the patch progression. And the early WoW patch progression can be fun. Anathema is sort of stagnant right now, we were stuck on 1.8 for a few months on Nost last year, ad many of the same characters are now in the same place with an uncertain future, now that Elysium has apparently parted ways with Nostalrius. I miss when everyone was on one big realm, except for the lag...the lag sucked ofc.

I played on ED for close to a year until Nostalrius came out. ED was on the War Effort, which was artificially lengthened to (apparently) give the devs some extra breathing room before AQ release. When word got out that Nost was going live, they pushed everything to 100% and released the AQ raids. Too funny! Most people went to Nost anyway in a few weeks, because it didn't suck. Not too long after, somebody from Feenix got outed for trying to hire a DDoS service to attack Nost. Sad. I had only been there a short time when the entire Jetpack Dinosaur guild was perma-banned. I liked how each player who got banned triggered a server-wide announcement. Instant drama!

I'm not sure how realistic it will be for a Boomkin to save their Innervate for the Priests, when Boomkin has severe mana issues themselves. Unless you don't mind having your Boomkin spam R1 Starfire the whole fight, just so your Priest can be a God of healing...it's more realistic to save the Resto Druids for this purpose - their mana issues are not so bad, especially if they have 3-piece T2 and a decent trinket like Shard of the Scale, Rejuv Gem or the Blue Dragon trinket.

The fastest way to level from dungeons is to find+complete all the associated quests. Here is a good starting point for finding most of the quests. If you do all the quests for Uldaman (for example) they are worth enough XP to gain a level if you're doing it in the late 30's. However, you will most likely finish all the quests in a couple runs. After that, it's not a very efficient way to level, and you might as well go grind somewhere. Also, to get all the quests you will be doing more interaction with the outside world at that point. But, it's a fun way to level. I usually try to grab as many quests as possible if I know I'm going to be doing a certain dungeon.
