Good idea. This section always starts out small (Nostalrius didn't even have one at launch) but It gets very big the longer the project is alive.

Blizzard sees past expansions as part of a work in progress. That way of thinking assumes whatever is out today is the pinnacle of WoW's existence, and they think it's just getting better. Which couldn't be farther from the truth. Vanilla wasn't perfect in the technical sense (far from it) but it was a true MMO, the current retail version is just a shadow of that. Sometimes, I feel like retail is a dead game they are keeping on life support because it's such a cash cow for them - once it is not, they will look back to whichever version of the game was most popular to try & profit from the game that way.

So according to the FAQ, I can only create 1 account per email. But the email tied to my Nost account is the same as my Elysium account from previously. The way I read it, I will be investigated for account sharing if I create a new Elysium account with different email to transfer my characters? Is this bad? I don't want to get banned - what should I do?

Thank you for your help - I wasn't interested in playing the other account. But I think I understand now. I was able to make the transfer.

I have a similar question, my Nost email is already in use by my original Elysium account. So I supposedly can't use it again.

Thanks for the being helpful, but you are missing the point - they are saying you can't have more than one account per email, and my Nost email already has an account associated. That I "shouldn't" be investigated isn't really an answer, they already said it would be flagged for investigation.

So, you are saying that if I have an old Elysium account I can also create a new Elysium account with the same email? They don't make a distinction between old and new.

But according to the Elysium account creation page:

Build 5875 is pretty common among most (if not all) Vanilla private servers. Unless the server project specifically states otherwise, it's safe to assume that this is the right one.

I set my realmlist to logon.valkyrie-wow.com, and used the control panel to reset my account password. I also tried deleting my config.wtf, but I can't seem to connect. Any ideas? I also did an nslookup and logon.valkyrie-wow.com is resolving to 164.132.233.125 (even after I do ipconfig /flushdns)

Ok, thanks. I also have the same account name here as on Nostalrius. Which name takes precedence? I saw where there would be an opportunity to change one, but no details.
