I'm curious as to what the problem is - when it goes down the client stays up for a long time, which is different than the usual server crash where the client closes itself after ~15 seconds.

Criticism comes with the territory - if you don't like it, take the servers down.

In Azeroth? Go roll on a TBC server. On Elysium servers? No.

It's probably an addon. You can try reloading you UI by doing the command /console reloadui If that doesn't work, try disabling you addond one at a time (or all at once) until you figure out what's causing it.

That's how the game works. You kill stuff and do quests, and you gain xp which makes you level up.

I think they are there until the server restarts, I'm not sure.

They don't spawn at all. Are the devs on vacation? Siilithus has been broken on Anathema for a few weeks, and the broken state of affairs is expanding northward. We are doomed!

It might help to clarify that the owner is "legit" in their desire to run the server without any possible external influence/support, but in the eyes of the US copyright law it doesn't matter. The real question is, what countries do not care much about US copyright law? If you host there, there's less chance they will ask your hosting provider to take you offline (although, I understand that the place that hosts Elysium is in France, and they seem to be fine /fingers crossed) And if you are a US citizen, never tell anyone who you really are, unless you want to be in a world of sh!t.

Darrowshire is the only option for PvE players on this project. Everyone there made a choice to go with PvE rules, and most would probably just leave if the servers were merged (unless you merged Elysium into Darrowshire, in which case many PvP players would leave.) PvP players already have their choice of two servers, including the one that is further progressed. It doesn't make any sense to merge any more servers - just strap in & wait for September when all the kids go back to school...

A videogame isn't an addiction, the same way watching tv all day (or even binge-watching Netflix) is not an addiction. Having said that, there are elements of WoW that tap into reward centers of your brain similar to gambling. Druid is more of a support/hybrid class, anyway. If you roll a Druid, you are doing so with the knowledge that you won't be competing for top meters - if that's your intent, go roll a Priest or something (who wouldn't heal as much if they didn't demand an innervate on every fight. anyway.) The Druid's strength has always been their versatility. So much of what makes a good Druid are things that do not show up on meters, or even helps others with their own meters...

I remember that, it made a splash (I think it was on WoW Insider or someplace) and then sort of fizzled into obscurity. I never found it that entertaining, to be honest. I'm pretty sure this was before Twitch was part of the scene. It looks similar in some ways.

It has been in the game from the start - it's a good option for healers from 50-60 or still working on pre-BiS gear.

If somebody stalks you for more than an hour on multiple toons, that crosses the line into griefing. Pretty much this...the attitude of the community is a reflection of who is in charge.

What you are describing is griefing, and the Elysium GMs should recognize that if they have any common sense. Having said that, there are no guarantees that things won't happen on a PvP server, and you would be wise to have some resources of your own - friends/guildies who have your back when times get tough. The GMs can't be there to hold your hand all the time.

They will be hostile for a minute or two, then go back to neutral. If you have health bars turned on, they will show up red instead of the usual yellow. It's not clear how far away you need to engage in PvP to avoid this, you might have to experiment a little.

That is bullcrap - incompetent GM. Keep talking to the staff, people need to be aware. If the people running the server don't care, why should the players?

On my Druid, my hearth is set to Kargath for access to BRM raids, and I can fly to UC, Gromgol or EPL without too much trouble. I can just port to Moonglade anytime, and there is a free flight to TB or I can go to the FP and fly to Org, etc. On other Horde toons I just set my hearth to Org,
