  1. Based off the original Nostalrius timeline 12-14 months after server launch.
  2. I honestly think casuals would do fine on any of the servers. With the Nost servers being first there will be a huge number of new players there who won't jump to the fresh server after leveling up a bit and there will be plenty of people for content 1-60. Ganking may be tough on Nost PvP, but it builds character. It would be interesting to compare the 2 economies, though, more supply on Nost, but higher inflation I'd imagine.
  3. "My opinions are facts, and your opinions are wrong because the facts say so"
  4. What a lovely opinion being stated as fact.
  5. Nah, bruh, I'm just letting people know that you just don't get it. Your paper thin arguments have already been beaten into the ground.
  6. Absolutely not, there will be a whole wave of new players starting on the Nost PvP server. If you're willing to put in the work to gear up you'll 100% find a spot in a raiding guild.
  7. Congratulations, you played yourself.
  8. Yup. So, excited for Nost servers on the 17th?
  9. Yeah, I'm the illiterate one, lol. Weren't you the one saying it's all about what's best for the community? Way to completely ignore my extremely logical, and very correct, assessment of why it's best to delay the fresh server.
  10. I know you weren't talking to me, but I have, I was an admin on an Ultima Online server which at least gives me some insight in running a private server.
  11. I think I am (obviously). What this guy doesn't get is this is what's best for all 3 servers. Nost servers will clearly have lost players over 8 months, so they have to come first so some of the new players can fill in the ranks. You take a 3-4 week break so they have a chance to level, so when the fresh server comes out not all of them jump to the new server. This leaves both Nost servers with a healthy population, and undoubtedly a large population on the fresh server.
  12. It's tough to do a community vote. I know this is anecdotal, but 6 of my RL friends are coming back, and another 20 or so from my guild who stuck together on Discord, none of them participate on the forums/in the community. tbh I think the friction is a good thing, it builds passion, and before you know it we'll have a much better outlet.
  13. I know, and I think it's great we'll get an influx of new players, but I think it's hilarious people are acting like it's unfair Nostalrius servers are coming before fresh. It makes perfect sense.
  14. Hypetrain Kids acting like waiting 3 extra is tough when we've been waiting 8 months lol
  15. How hilariously succinct. If anyone is owed anything it's old Nost players (and I'm not even saying we are), not the people who read a story on IGN and want to pretend like they were there. They didn't lose anything when Nost went down, they just want to act like they're a part of it.
  16. The fact that you are asking this question proves you never played on Nostalrius. You just don't get it.
  17. Bingo. If it weren't for those of us who were on Nostalrius there wouldn't be this project, and most of the people complaining about the fresh server coming last probably would have never even heard of legacy. There's a fresh server coming, that's fine, but that's bonus at the end. This project is about returning what was stolen from us.
  18. Not a necessity, but I think it goes a long way in giving these servers an air of authenticity. If you remember when Nost made the announcement of the partnership they didn't mention giving Elysium the player database (they let Elysium announce it), and the backlash was unreal. So many people were writing it off because they weren't getting characters back. I understand a lot of people want the fresh start, but I'm a grown попа man with grown попа man responsibilities and can't be spending all the time releveling. I have a toon I have an attachment to, and that toons journey isn't complete yet. For reference, I also went to Kronos when Nost went down, and I stayed on K1 and didn't jump to K2, so that probably says something. My time is limited so I value each of my toons and would rather have 1 60 than 5 40s.
  19. We can agree to disagree. I know for a fact my guild and I wouldn't be returning if our toons weren't there, we have no desire to start at level 1.

    Team High Population

The world was alive. There were people in every zone, and sure there were a lot of 60s, but there were tons of people leveling. To be honest I prefer a wide mix of levels than everyone being clustered together. There were people leveling at the same pace as me that I would see zone after zone, and the chats were always going so you it reinforced the idea of community.

    Fresh Realm

No, the staff need to abandon all family and friends to provide us a free service.
  22. +1 to this. Nostalrius was (is) the flagship of legacy, the server that most embodied the spirit of Blizz-like and being faithful to vanilla. The whole point of the Elysium Project is to revive Nostalrius and carry on the legacy (pun intended). Nostalrius PvP/PvE coming back is far more important on a meta level than a fresh server. Nost servers coming back is a statement to Blizzard. There are a ton of fresh servers popping up, but Nost is the soul of the legacy movement. Do you think IGN and PCG would be covering the story if it was just a fresh server? Absolutely not, this is about, and always has been about, restoring Nostalrius, and in turn, restoring legacy.
  23. In retail Vanilla my rogue had one of the bindings and our MT/GM at the time was running his mage alt during our MC runs, so I was a drop away from being a rogue with TF when our MT didn't have it. I would have loved to drink the tears. And there are 2 A's, it's car-a-mel
