Thanks a lot. I've been wanting to level mining to 125 so I can smelt all the iron I had on another character. It appears the veins like to spawn close to eachother. I had been running around Barrens for a while and couldn't find a single vein, then suddenly I found three Tin veins nex to eachother. On my other character, in Tanaris I found eight veins next to eachother. In Badlands I would often find three Truesilver veins at the same place. Another odd thing about the veins is that Silver, Gold and Truesilver have their own spawns, where they are quite common. Every time I passed the south entrence to those dragons in Badlands, there was a Gold vein there.

It is still possible to farm, but it will require a different route. If it was, it was changed after the annoucement that nost was going down.

Wow, I'm sorry. You two are right. I just copied the text in my realmlist.wtf, and it still has valkyrie as server. Strangely I am logging into the nost servers, so I guess it still works too... weird.

I didn't expect a smooth start, but it would've been fun to at least play a little on the opening day. Sat in a 12k queue to PvE for a while, then left it because I wanted to check the queue for PvP, which wasn't open at all. Again, it would've been fun to have played during the opening, but the important thing is that it's back!

I'm not sure why, but some older games take forever to start on my computer. If I try starting it again, it'll load two instances of the game almost instantly. No sure if you got a similiar problem.

February, 2005. My friend and I had been looking forward to the game for a while, but we expected it to be more like C&C: Renegade, Team Fortress or some kind of AoE. A bit like battlegrounds, rather than going around doing quests.

There are addon-packs for Vanilla throughout the web. Here's one. It has Gatherer which I think is what you're looking for, though I don't know if it's populated with nodes or not. Since in vanilla, or at least this version of vanilla, picking talent points never required a confirmation, I recommend using the addon TalentSafe, which requires that you confirm your spec before it's set. Can save you from making a mistake. Also, there are talent calculators on the web that you can use.

My very first character was an orc shaman. On level 2 or 3 I managed to wander outside the Valley of Trials and die to a scorpid. I was sent to the graveyard in Razor Hill and I didn't understand you could run back to your corpse (who even reads the instruction book?) so I ressurected with the angel. Now I was even further from VoT. It was a quite confusing (and in my mind, unforgiving) start but I'm glad I kept playing.

Just nu är jag mest sugen på mina gamla karaktärer. Man vill ju gärna avsluta det man höll på med när servern gick ner. Min magiker var 56 och jag vill gärna ta upp henne till 60. Självklart är det också lite tråkigt att "överge" allt man tjänat ihop. Å andra sidan kan jag förstå det roliga med en helt ny start för alla, likt ladder i Diablo II. Jag kommer nog att göra en ny karaktär på nya servern när den öppnar. Om jag sen fortsätter där beror dels på hur mina kompisar känner, samt hur mängden och attityden på andra spelarna på servern är. Jag tyckte att i början av Nost så var det en del spelare som hade ganska pissig attityd och var osamarbetsvilliga, men att det blev mycket bättre framåt slutet av Nost (även om det fortfarande fanns en del störiga typer). Jag hoppas netiketten sitter kvar för det var ganska trögt att levla mina första karaktär jämfört med mina senare då det var så mycket väntande på respawn.

Stroll through Orgrimmar and Durotar for a while. If there's something interesting happening, like IF raid, I might join that. Otherwise I'll log onto my mage and level it in DM east, which is what I was doing eight months ago when Nostalrius' shutdown was announced. Some people mention that they'll adjust their addons, but I don't think it'll be necessary. All the account and character-specific addon settings are stored in the WoW-folder on your computer. If your Elysium account is the same as your Nostalrius account I think the addons should load as if nothing has changed. And if the account names are different, I think you only have to change the names of the folders. Check your WTF folder. If you've removed or changed your vanilla WoW folder however, you're out of luck (

I believe Raptr is AMD's answer to nVidia's Shadowplay. I've used it, and it's ok, but I've heard it has a greater impact on the computer's performance than Shadowplay. Personally I use OBS because it's a lot more flexible than Raptr. I still have a video from retail vanilla which was recorded with Fraps and I suppose that'd work too if you don't really care.

I doubt it. They would have been very clear on this if that was case. Nobody wants to lose their chars... again. Thought I think the idea of some kind of system similiar to Diablo's ladder, would be interesting. Like the server is up for one or two years, then restarted, and all the old characters are moved to non-ladder server or something.

Both accounts transferred successfully, and all characters made it through... except my level 1 Tauren Druid. May the Earth Mother guide his spirit :^ All I have to do now is wait.

Is there any special even planned when the servers are up? Planned between the players I mean. Like raiding Ironforge or something like that. I'd love to know.

I've played some Diablo II. Leveled a sorceress solo through normal, completing all quests, but I currently have no plans to continue that character. It was bloody fun though. In the Worldstone Keep I got the Magefist gauntlets and it turned me into a machine gun with fireball!

Wish I could be there for the 2nd test. I had a lot of fun during this one.
