Blizzlike purists (even though it is an ironic thing to be upset about since Elysium is the opposite of Blizzlike), its also built in gold-sink. Those are the only arguments I can think of that someone who would be in favor of keeping respecs the same cost.

My biggest issue as well, combine that with using the old Valk paypal that was used by Shenna to sell characters/gear just makes me extremely apprehensive about the whole thing. There is no transparency as to where our money is going, even after Shenna and Co left and the new staff was in place. There is absolutely zero reason not to setup a new form of payment and make a clean break from the old admins.
-
It is the original Valk paypal account, why wouldn't you guys make a new one if you cut all ties with Shenna and the other former admins? Why continue to use that one? Whole thing just looks odd from a player's perspective.
-
If we do donate, will there be any kind of transparency in regards to where our money goes? Last time we got a half baked effort by Shenna, hoping the new staff will be more open with this sort of thing this time around. Looks like the paypal is still going to Shenna's paypal, any particular reason for this?

possibel consequences for criers READ

Seeing a lot of anecdotal whinging in the OP kek. Elysium NA peak is like 4-5k, that is nothing compared to the China Power hours we endured on Nost where it was 11k+. I'd take those numbers over the current 500 average we are seeing in Zeth any day of the week. -
It has been a week since the poll on the Zeth forums, and with over 68% votes in favor a merge what else are we waiting for? Friday peak was 1.3k and our lows are now dropping below 600 during NA hours, we lost 12% and 10% of our population on Saturday and Sunday respectively last week compared to the week before that, these trends are consistent over a 30 day period and even get worse the further back you go. So what are we waiting for? New content did not bring people back to Zeth clearly, in fact we lost people even with new content out. The ranking community continues to grapple with contracting brackets and guilds are continuing to struggle to fill raids, especially the remaining North American ones, the situation just isn't tenable long term. I understand some of you are worried about economic issues regarding a merger, or even names, but I believe those issues take backseat when you look at how fast of a decline Zeth'Kur is undergoing. As for the staff, last weekend you did a good job addressing that Zeth indeed has an issue, but what are you guys going to do now that we know the problem? The longer you sit on this issue the more people quit and the worse things are on Zeth. Just some food for the thought. Sorry to everyone else who has to read this stuff everyday, but this is our only real way of getting the staffs attention and in turn you guys talking about it. Zeth is closing, transfers to the other 3 servers will be an option. That is the tl;dr.

I mean, if the pop was stable sure, but it isn't. When Zeth released we had a 5k+ average, now we are 900~ or so with a 10-15% turnover every week. Zeth was never advertised or created to be the "small, blizzlike pop server" either. No one wants to be on a sinking ship. -

I will personally paypal everyone on staff Turkey sandwiches from Subway if you merge Zeth'Kur and Elysium. -
1.2k peak today, last Thursday was 1.5k. The losses continue to trend consistent with a 10-15% deficit, Jakira can call this "fake news" or the numbers are "inaccurate" all she wants but this is pretty a obvious reality to anyone who has access to /who and Elysium's own realm status page. By next week we should be seeing a 1k and possibly under average, or 3-digit average. Zeth'Kur? More like Feenix.

So this is the power . . . of Ret Paladins . . . woah -
We heard you bud, it is time to de-escalate not escalate. Your point was made.

All these anecdotal assumptions, basic numbers point to the vast majority preferring a merger. If we lose a hundred or so PvE carebears who unironically believe 300 pop servers are fun (looking at you Caber) then so be it. A merged server will bring back many who quit on Zeth, right now most people are banking for a merger and are either raid logging and taking a break until then. Honestly, at this point and based on some information I've received, Elysium wouldn't be able to handle a straight merger due to a lack of dev resources, so we have to look at other options. Closing Zeth and allowing transfers to all 3 realms without any trade goods may be the best option if merger isn't possible for the devs. Other than that, if they can't do a merge expect an exodus off Zeth faster than we are currently seeing as people will finally reroll to the bigger servers to get off the sinking ship.

So, let's talk about the population diminishing
indi replied to AzAMOuS's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
This was over 2 months ago, the losses continued long after the VPN bans. -
The economy should be considered but at the end of the day it shouldn't take precedent over the entire situation. A niche market like Devilsaur can recover, as can the entire economy, long term. Freezing all characters like Elysium did originally back in November before the Nostalrius reboot could be an option as it would prevent any largescale farming up until a merger (only do this after the team has 100% decided on the merger). Nice to see the staff is still remembering us though, even if we are basically dying out in-front of you guys kek.
