Which class to start fresh with?

My last run on Nost was with a Warrior - did the 1-60 thing a few times as Arms over the years but decided to try Fury dual wield and was surprised how effective it is. More frequent dodges with dual wield lets you overpower 2x per fight typically, there's no problem living in battlestance as fury spec while leveling. Even with the increased miss % I notice rage generation was much higher compared to 2 hand - as you said missing once or twice with a slow 2 hander is a pain. If anyone is worried about leveling a Warrior I'd suggest shaking it up a bit, try dual wield Fury out

Which class to start fresh with?

I don't know why so many say leveling a Rogue or Warrior is tough - with a few instance quests you're flying. My first char on Nost PvP was a Rogue who blew through levels just because of a few weapons; Wingblade, Outlaw Sabre, Vanquishers Sword, Sword of Omen, Thrash Blade - they're all easy to get and change the melee game drastically. Simple things like picking Agi/Stam, Str/Stam gear while keeping bandaging up will reduce your downtime to nil. Warriors can instance all day every day if they wanted to, Rogues drop mobs in <10 seconds once instant poison is learned. The only tedious things to level are tedious specs - Resto Druid, Disc Priest, Prot War, etc As always, play the class you enjoy - that'll make 1-60 the easiest

    Costs to Level Efficiently

Lock has that free mount advantage which helps a lot but I wouldn't say other classes are starved too harshly for cash Start with picking skills carefully, you don't need them all. Get an AH addon to help you sell gathered/found items and start saving - the gold will come be sure of that. I'd be cautious of going too deep into a prof like Blacksmithing right away since it is a big money sink. Even as a Rogue or Warrior most of your gear is easily found via instance quests, Horde has a little advantage for early melee levels thanks to the Wingblade and the Outlaw Sabre. In short; save your pennies, sell everything you can, and enjoy the struggle
  4. I always thought character transfers were a strict No within Nostalrius, unless the population was dying. Difference in content would be a big problem - strolling in with BWL gear before the raid is even released? I hope they keep things as they are
  5. It is kind of ugly having two identical realms competing with each other - seems like the fresh will drain the old at least temporarily. Wonder if a choice should have been made to either do fresh start for both PvE and PvP, or just bring back the old realms and pretend like Nost never went down.

    Fresh Start Explosion

I was on during the PvE start for Nost - rolled Undead which was a mad rush when players outnumber mobs 10 to 1. Dynamic spawning made no difference, casters couldn't even finish casting before a mob was snatched up....but that was all part of the fun I ended up grouping with 4 others and took off into Tirisfall to grind which was a lot more effective. Standing around trying to complete those lowbie quests will just make you scream. Either login and snatch up your preferred name then wait 8-24 hours to play, or invite randoms and run for the hills - try to get a healer or two though
