  1. Obviously we all work hard to ignore gold spammers but lately they have changed tact. Sending you mail with extremely obvious gold website links and now, spamming /e (emotes) advertising their "services". This is, simply put, harassment and it should be treated as such. When I ignore a player, I should NEVER receive any type of message from them ever. Is it possible to change the ignore feature to include /e spammers and mailers? For all the inevitable comments saying such things as "What did you expect on a private server" or "Stop looking" or crap like that, I say the following: it is disheartening to see such blatant and obvious gold spammers in the heart of all the major cities. I understand that such ones are banned when found but is there really no way to automate this process? The moment a player sends a piece of mail with (insert generic gold farming website here) in it, couldn't it instantly be trashed? The moment a player spams /e with an extremely obvious gold buying message, couldn't they instantly get banned? Part of my frustration, and many other players is, we simply do not know how to handle gold spammers. Do we write an in-game ticket? Post on the forums? You guys do a great job of reminding us to use two-factor authentication (seriously though, every 10 minutes is a little much...) so how about switching up that automatic message telling us how to fight these awful gold spammers. We all want to see them gone and all of us will fight harder if we actually KNEW HOW TO FIGHT.
  2. Going down because of "NPC issues" can and likely IS related to a concentrated attack on dozens of NPCs at once. Tinfoil hat firmly on!
  3. Server instability caused by massive coordinated Horde attack on Elysium?? If not, one hell of a coincidence that immediately after WorldDefense messages, server becomes unplayable. Edit for clarification: At approximately 9:45 am (PST), WorldDefense on Elysium PvP when nuts with dozens of "(Zone) is under attack" messages. Understand that this is from the Alliance side of things so no idea what any Alliance were doing at this point. Shortly afterward, within minutes, the server becomes unstable and ultimately crashes.

    WHAT IS GOING ON

You are not alone. Instant DCs in Loch Modan.
  5. I ask because I read that the fresh server will be patched to 1.2 at launch. The PvP honor system wasn't introduced until patch 1.4 and BGs didn't come out until 1.5 So, in this case, will Honor PvP be in the game to start? If not, how long will it likely take to come out? Thanks!
  6. Good day everyone! I had a question regarding how patches work in this game. As an example, I'll use patch 1.11. That is the Naxx patch so we would obviously see that content. But that patch also massively adjusted mages and shamans. New abilities came out, other abilities were changed (sometimes significantly), etc. The question is: (1) Will the changes to the classes be in effect from launch, (2) will they go live when the patch goes out, or (3) will patches that change classes simply not apply at all, ever? I was under the impression that patches that affected classes (at least early on) were generally to adjust balancing issues or to fix broken abilities. So it seems logical that all those changes would be in effect from day one since we know about those issues and we might as well fix them at launch. How did they do it in the past? Thanks you all!
  7. Sounds perfect! I know some regard these changes as "improvements" but I liked that it was more difficult and realistic. Re-speccing was probably the most irritating thing on my list but duel-spec wasn't a good fix... Made it far too easy. Regarding PvP... a lot of adjustments were made in those first dozen patches.... For instance, in patch 1.6, any items earned stay with you regardless of your current ranking. Also, in patch 1.12, cross realm battlegrounds were introduced... I imagine there will be no cross realm BGs because of 1: Only three servers and 2: Massive player population. So, can anyone comment on the state of PvP in either Elysium or Nost? Thanks!
  8. Thanks for the info! For those on this forum who did play Nost, is the game-play the same as vanilla WOW or different slightly? I understand that they did reduce the draw distance because of the sheer amount of players but that is more of a mechanic to keep the servers stable. I was wondering if they added other things like dual-spec, increased flight-paths, etc.. Thanks!
  9. Hello everyone! This is my first ever post here and I am very excited about jumping into vanilla WOW again. Please forgive me if this question has been asked before.. I did search the forums and online to try to find this answer in advance. So, vanilla patches.... I played WOW in beta and then at launch and of course the game today is far different then it was then. But very quickly in WOWs life, they made some pretty major changes. Examples include: Meeting Stones (patch 1.3.0), First PvP Honor System (patch 1.4.0), Shard Bags (patch 1.9.0), etc... Some of these patches made the game a lot easier (to its detriment), while other features should have been included from the beginning in my opinion (linked AHs). Is there any way to know which features will be included with these servers? And if there are features that were introduced in post BC patches that are pretty good/well received (without compromising the integrity of the game), would any of those make it into the final server?
