@dirtnasti Problem is leveling as holy tho. Would have loved to level all the way as holy but was talked out of that idea. Personally at like 40 I start thinking about going prot from 50-60, or maybe holy but then I might get so bored I might not even finish the last 10. Alternative is staying ret and have bigger issues getting Groups once the pre bis items start dropping. In my case it doesnt have to be that big issue since we are 3 friends that is pretty Close leveled and usually start the Groups ourselves. Btw, which is simplest to level as, holy pala or resto druid? Guess that will be the question that decides who will be tank and who will heal the pre bis farm we will have to do.

So depends on if you roll Alliance or horde if pvp queues will be better on Elysium. Heard queue times are pretty long here too for horde. And ranking isnt very easy on Alliance either if thats what you are intrested in, Heard some rank 10ish doing 1.6m honor or something after half the week. On Alliance side there seems to be a fair amount of Aus/oceanic guilds tho, dont Think that will be a problem. Too bad they start raids 3h too late for us nightworking europeans to raid with them. Good luck with the leveling on Elysium tho. Leveling an alt myself now

Also leveling a pala as ret. You can be THE savior if you pay attention. Dont know how many times in dungeons that I've seen the healer that obviously isnt heal spec run oom or go afk and tank dont notice and other shit, and u can save the day. Even tho u can keep up dpswise, I would try to not put all mana into dps but save some incase shit gets hairy. After all, palas are great at being backup and support. Just shit that pally Power doesnt seem to work Before greater blessings, so no chance I manage to keep em up 100%. Save som int gear that u get, doesnt matter if its cloth or mail. Just the other day our healer in RFD did a "brb laundry" on the way to the Escort event thingy, just had time to put on like 4 pieces of healing gear Before we got i combat and we managed it til the healer got back on like the 3rd wave. Rets might not keep up with a good hunter or rogue, but nothign else does that either. But its a spec that pretty much everyone should want in their Group while leveling since they can be the char that mean u dont have to make a long corpse walk and maybe a disbanding Group due some following drama.

When leveling at start it was something strange going on. Dont notice anything at 60 tho, np pickpocketing brd/lbrs/ubrs mobs.

Just go swordspec, use mainhand sword and oh dagger. Then u will have pretty much both weapon skills at max.

Pretty sure we just los pulled the stuff so all was stacked and aoe nuked with as much stuns as possible in vanilla. Obviously havent tried it here since I play on elysium but pretty sure it shouldnt be much issue.

As ppl been saying, slow sword mh and off hand doesnt really matter as long as its fast. Personally I Went most of the time with a dagger in OH so I got both weapon skills (and still got a oh dagger at 60 since I havent found a decent sword for it). Most overpowered talent while leveling is riposte, way more important then Everything else on that row. Lowers the inc dmg from all melee u fight and u get less parries. U know that big bad cow coming at u with his 2h? One parry and he looks dumb trying to hit u with his fists. Dagger leveling is possible, but is a lot more work I personally dont find it Worth the effort. And yes u will die. And getting 2 mobs at u will be a pita all the way to 60 unless U have BF off cd. I pretty much range pulled every time there was even a chance to get 2 mobs, and if u get 2 mobs u can bet someone will see the free hk.

We used pala as solo tank in UBRS full runs last week and was smooth. Ofc, shit died fast with 5 rogues but there would be any problem in a more normal setup either. I still have my concerns about blizzards dev teams mental Health status when they decided to not give 1 of the tank specs a taunt but...

Seems like the typical Alliance problem that there is no healers doing bgs. Cant say how it is normally on elysium tho, havent done a single bg since hitting 60.

It will be there when blizz implemented it. Pretty sure it was like aq patch or something but not sure

Still like 15 min queue sometimes at peak hours (EU Elysium). Its a bit less at like 0800-1100 server time, normally about 6.5k. Which is good, thats the time there is more questmobs=). The difference between Elysium and retail is that it isnt zone specific. On retail there really is off hours when u can do stuff fast or find rare stuff or herb/mine. On Elysium its kinda prime Always for some zone. I dont Think big retail servers in Eu like silvermoon is Close to 6.5k at the times mentioned.

I smell alot of bs in this thread tho. Most should be 60 if they level as fast as they say. Been off work for like 5 Days or something, palying pretty much from 1600-1800 til 0700-0900 with just making food and such in the time, and I would say 2.5 levels is about what u do in that time, and geting slower after like 48. Grinding as Larsen said is like 6-7h/level even earlier atleast when skinning. Havent grinded much lately tho, but last time it was like 200xp/mob, so 500 kills per 100k xp. Say 6h, that would be 43.2 sec/kill which seems reasonable given u probably need to eat if skinner maybe empty bags. For 7h it would be 50.4 sec. Also, u need the mobs to spawn. Usually not a big problem but if its a good grinding spot u wont be alone, and then just hope if someone shows its your faction. Personally I try to do quests if there are any, and then grind til whatever level I've decided to start next area. I dont mind it taking some time, but I do mind that lately it has felt likeI've been ahead of the horde of players so its been nice, now working 3 Days many will Catch up making grinding away maybe the only option. With that said, maybe frostmages that finds a good aoe grindspot can do it in 2-3h if uninterupted, most classes it will take a lot more time for tho.

I'm a bit with Larsen on this. I'm only 52, but the higher I get the less horde I see. Too me it seems that it goes in waves. Like in Blasted Lands, the horrible quests to get vulture, basiliscs and so on. For 5 min its completly overrun by horde killing every Alliance in sight, then its 5 min of Alliance completly ruling the area killing the horde, then all over again. Also at 50+, if u get attacked by some mofo undead mage while questing u can be sure a bunch of Alliance will come nuking them out of the zone very soon, while I probably havent seen 10 lv60 horde yet and only 2 attacked me. A rogue for the lulz I guess, and a druid that tried to destroy our quest in Badlands but failed and died in shame. Overall I Think horde is more going for red is dead while leveling, while Alliance want to get to 60 and what I've seen will leave horde alone as long as they dont want the same questmob and then we will take revenge on all horde that tries to get thru last 5 levels. I got a feeling that blackrock mountain will be 1 hellhole on raidnights.

I use risen ui. It got nothing like nug but it has nice bars under enemy portrait. Works good enough for me, atleast for leveling. And depends on where u have enemy bars ofc

Not sure when the sun goes down ingame? But on Pacific time its 9h difference compared to now. Not that I care much since I am up nights and sleep daytime. Guess its simple if it follows the servers Clock tho, and no times will fit all tbh.
