Hi there, Is there a damage drop if I play warlock affliction in PvE without a pet? I dislike controlling extra units besides my own character and generally I am not good at it Anyone could help me out? EDIT: I meant WITHOUT pet in the title!

Hi there, I am only here as I hear so much hype about the Vanilla servers and it also caught my curiosity. I am by no means an experienced WoW player as I started since the expansion Wrath of the Lich King. Now, I have so many questions about the Vanilla servers and since I have no experience with it, I'd love to get some answers from you to enlighten me. Please keep in mind that the answers you give is your personal opinion and it would be great if it doesn't turn into a furious discussion. Anyway! Be ready, it's a bunch of questions and thank you everyone who is taking their time to answer: GENERAL 1. What makes Vanilla so awesome for you (in your opinion)? 2. How hard is it to grind to level 60? What is the average time to level? 3. Is farming gold a struggle? 4. What is the "highest" item level? 5. How difficult is it to get epic/legendary gear? 6. Are there flying mounts? 7. Do you see yourself playing on Vanilla servers for the next, let's say, 2 years? If yes, why? If no,why? 8. Since it's just "Vanilla" servers, how do they update content? It's pretty impossible, correct? 9. Which stats are there? For example, legion has multistrike, versatility, etc. while Vanilla has attack damage, spirit, etc? Little information on this matter would be great. 10. Do addons work? If yes, where to get the old versions? At Curse.com? 11. If you have the most updated WoW installed, do I have to uninstall it in order to play on Elysium? 12. Is there a skill tree? Do you upgrade abilites? CLASSES 1. Best tank class? Best damage class? Best healing class? - PVE 2. Best tank class (if it exists)? Best damage class? Best healing class? - PVP 3. If there is no "best class", briefly explain which class is amazing and why PROFESSIONS 1. Do professions exist? 2. Easiest profession to level vs. hardest profession to level? 3. Profession that makes you "a lot" of gold? PvE 1. From level 1-60, any dungeons? If yes, does it work with a queue system or you have to walk there by yourself? 2. Raids? How many? Level of difficulties? 40 men or what are the group sizes? 3. Loot drop = roll the dice? Need/greed system? PvP 1. 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 arenas exist? 2. Battlegrounds exist? Once again, I appreciate every answer that some of you give me and by no means every question needs to be answered. I am mostly trying to figure out the potential of Vanilla servers and what is the hype around it And honestly, looking at videos, gear, raids etc. it already looks better than legion haha. The difference between PvP and PvE server is the same as with the "normal" blizzard servers, correct? PvP servers just means that PvP can be done "worldwide" while PvE servers gives an option to players to turn on PvP on and off whenever they feel like it? Thanks

Two types of people: 1. THIS IS VANILLA. THIS IS WHAT MAKES IT SO AMAZING. 2. Same thought like you, including me Going to log in and just wait at least couple hours, if not just play the next day (too impatient to wait any longer).

What I am planning to do is to roll a damage/healing class as a new player in Vanilla, join dungeons/raids and try to get to know the bosses and the overall mechanics while doing damage/healing. After this I will roll a tank. Since you do not have much time due to college, you have some options, like: 1. Start with a tanking class while learning the bosses in dungeons and raids via e.g. YouTube (It's super old content and a lot to find online) 2. Start like me, as previously mentioned. Most important: enjoy the game and do what makes you happy Great tanks are also just great since they got to know their class and the whole PvE content after failing miserably many times.

Hi all! As far as I have understood, there are no dual-spec, right? To respec, it costs a lot of money? Anyway, if that is the case, then how do people level from 1-60 when they, i.e., want to play a healer and also do (low level) dungeons as a healer but I strongly assume that leveling a healer from scratch will take ages as you lack damage throughout the whole leveling process. Same maybe applies to tanks? How is this best managed? Thanks, Ray

Hi Faith, thank you for this. By "grouping" you mean to look for players and meet together in order to do dungeons as much as possible? I'd love to start with healing spec and just heal everyone, but then I am not sure if I will always find groups therefore I might just go dps spec and heal in dungeons. Will see ...

Why not both? Continue with your old character and also start a new, fresh character on a fresh realm?

I was generally asking if there will always be a huge difference between old Nost server and fresh Elysium server. As Draegon stated, it won't. The timeline is more or less irrelevant. But thank you for pointing it out
