I mean. You know. I'm a resto druid. The chances of you killing me by yourself are pretty slim y'know, especially with that lake begging me to water form to the other side I have a lot of survival tricks up my sleeve, you're going to have to bring another person or get lucky because I'm not going down easily. -

I like redridge because as a druid I can just jump in the water if some overly geared 60 comes to stop my rampage. I just swim to the other side of the lake and keep killing. If they find me again, I just go back to the lake. Sometimes I'll get in the lake, go deep underwater, then cat form and stealth right back to where I was at. Usually it fools them into running to the otherside of the lake via mount xD Edit: I also like stealth following parties into the castle in Redridge and wait until they're in the boss room. Then I kill them AND the boss, /flex, then leave. It forces them to reclear the entire castle. Then I wait for them to do it again, rinse, repeat. Delicious ganking. Nomnomnom. -
I don't like warlocks, but I always found it amusing seeing infernals in XR.

I get bored of camping. It's nice as a druid though, it's easy to fool people multiple times into thinking I've left My favorite is waiting until they're on a mob, then getting them to red health, entangling roots, then letting them die by mobs so that they lose durability and gold. HAHAHA. Man I can't wait to wreak havoc in Redridge. -

There is nothing more fun than wasting peoples time on WoW. I posted this on another thread - think about it. If it takes 3 minutes to corpserun, and I kill 100 people, that's FIVE HOURS of peoples time spent corpse running. For me, it's all about how much total accumulated time I can force people to corpse run. I am going to give Redridge hell. -

Psh I can kill 60's, but it's not about killing 60's. It's about wasting peoples time. For example: If it takes 3 minutes to corpse run for a low level in Redridge, and I kill 100 low levels, that's 5 hours of peoples lives that I've forced them to spend corps erunning. I'd rather waste 5 hours of peoples time than 3 minutes of a 60's time. -

Hey now. My druid is resto and my gear isn't anything special. BUT I can heal my health bar 20 times over while running like Hussein Bolt and swimming like Michael Phelps. You're never going to catch me, and when I get to the other side of that lake, I am just going to kill all over again. Once you catch up, I'll just take off again. It's cat and mouse baby. I'll kill hundreds of people before you kill me. I am the whisper of death that shrouds Redridge. I run around the lake like a racetrack killing everybody in sight. I will follow a party into the castle, and right before you pull the boss, I'll kill your entire team, FORCING you to reclear the castle. Then I'll do it again. And again. And again. Then when a 60 comes, I'll just relocate and continue killing, since I can't kill 60's as a resto druid (especially since everyone is geared to the max on Nost). I am so excited. -
Meh if you're on Horde just message me @ Xykaru. I'll hook you up.

Don't be a buttmunch. People like PvP because they can fight other humans. The more upset you make your enemy, the more you 'win', so to speak. It's not just about fighting. It's about beating them so hard that they get upset and bash their keyboard until every key is missing. When I get messages including death threats, insults, etc.. I am pleased knowing that I upset them so bad that they had to log onto a character in the opposite faction just to talk smack. Then I ignore them and kill them when they log back on. It's a very pleasant experience... for me. I am going to annihilate Redridge when the server is live. There will be no survivors. Period. -

Yehh boii. We all need a little disgruntling combat in our lives. Might as well release stress by killing people in the game rather than in real life -
Why don't you just level up, sell what you find, AH the valuables (AQ war effort = big bucks on Linen etc) and buy some bags off the AH. They're going to be cheap anyways, the server isn't new. Probably about 45s per silk bag. I'm sure if you find a guild like Faith said you'll get plenty of help. And anyways, if you're questing (Which you should, you'll level faster) you'll be near vendors often enough to not worry about overloading your four 8 slot bags.

Anyone else notice how the Russian (Assuming it's Russian?) part of the forum is wayyyy more active than the American/English speaking part? :D:D:D May our countries unite through Vanilla WoW!

Nost PvP - new healer question
Xykaru replied to Demonthese's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
There's a difference between 'decent' and 'up to par with priority spec gear'. It may be good, but it is not as useful for ele/enh as it will be for restoration. If you pick a mage/lock/hunter/rogue, your class tier gear will benefit every single spec to the maximum, which is not the hybrid life. -
so What's the first thing you're gonna do when it's back online, guys?

Honestly hybrid classes aren't for everybody. If you want to go healing, cool. If you want to go otherwise, just remember everything is going to be significantly harder in one way or another. -

Ehhh forgot to mention that Shamans are somewhat overpopulated, but end-game shamans are almost always sought after, particularly restoration. With the amount of people, you're bound to find a niche guild that appreciates you. Assuming you can hold your own, of course -
Change Hunter epic bow quest timer
Xykaru replied to Turbz's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Pretty much it in a nutshell. People cry when other people make the game harder for them. Even this dev team is susceptible to QoL changes based on those tears. Fixing the problem logically rather than beating around the bush and banning people for doing things the game allows seems plausible if you ask me. There's numerous work arounds to fix this inconvenience rather than just using word of mouth to deter people and banning them if they do enact such deeds. I find it silly that so much time and effort is spent diddling over this topic rather than just giving it a solid fix and moving on. -
Practice Dummy HP modification
Xykaru replied to Taurior's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Said it twice before, I'll say it again. Giving invulnerable targets more HP doesn't make a lick of difference. I am extremely die-hard for Vanilla and I do NOT approve of any changes, let alone the ones made to accommodate higher population. However, changes HAVE been made. Quality of life changes, in fact. Not to mention game-play regulations that didn't exist on Vanilla realms. If giving immune targets more health is such a problem for you die-hards, then perhaps you should reevaluate why you enjoy Vanilla so much. Bickering over how much HP the Zeppelin has is pretty pointless, don't you think? There's many foolish goobers trying to obtain QoL changes here. I simply don't see giving invulnerable targets more HP to be game changing even at the very, very, very most slightest, minuscule way. As long as that HP reverts and/or scales back down completely parallel to the original hit point count prior to gaining 12904812894324238 HP immunity upon losing immunity (think Paladins bubble hearthing), there is no actual difference whatsoever and frankly nobody would even be able to notice nor calculate it because it's a non-existent variable. I recall that dummies took full damage. I do not recall them only showing 64 damage total per hit. Based on that memory, I don't even see the point of this thread. -
Change Hunter epic bow quest timer
Xykaru replied to Turbz's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I don't reaaalllyy think it should have been lowered. So what there's more people. So what alliance can interfere. You know, if we're going to lower timers and set up lists on the forums for who gets what when.. Why can't we set up lists that allow both horde and alliance to work together for the same objective under the 7 hour rule? 1 hunter is chosen and every 7 hours, a group from alliance and horde both gather to guard the hunter, taking turns on who gets the hunter each time cross faction. This time reduction stuff is boring - let alone the rules regarding demon despawning. If it's such a problem, do something about it. There are things that can be done that keep people from being banned for doing things ALLOWED IN THE GAME. If demon despawning wasn't allowed, it wouldn't be possible to do. Settings up rules to coordinate what can be done inside the game (aside from language rules) outside of the game is lame. I'd rather see a fix than "If you do this in the game you'll get banned." I still say we should have a list of things we're not allowed to do in the game - like hit women, demon despawn, sleep on the job, procrastinate, etc... It might be a lot of work, but instead of all this time spent bitching about it and GM's investigating/banning, maybe we could make the demon invulnerable and unable to attack anybody except the hunter/pet when engaged by the hunter and make it so that the demon doesn't despawn when the hunter is killed. Viola. So what if somebody camps that hunter, it's a part of life. I mean, it's a part of the game. Edit: Reducing respawn time to make up for the population is understandable, but not all of the bickering/bans/problems related. -
I read a post on Suggestions regarding amping up the difficulty on raid bosses to make up for all of our knowledge of the game and addons for ease of access. Just throwing this out there, I personally wouldn't complain if addons were not allowed for maximum vanilla experience. Primarily because it would make raiding much harder. You wouldn't have robots telling you when to start healing, or when to dodge attacks, or automatic decursing. You'd have to actually pay attention and react on the whim. This way people people aren't finishing MC within 20 days of release, and if they do, you KNOW they're not only serious but damn good. Edit: Gotta mention that leveling will be more difficult without a window telling you exactly where to go for every single quest, not that we don't already know. Not that I expect anyone to agree nor do I expect addons to be illegal, I just find that the game is far more difficult and immersive without having a massive overview of the situation via addons. Since everyone is pretty much an extreme veteran, this would in essence be a 'hardcore' mode, which will even further the difficulty we love so much. Shrugfarts.

Addons really are simply cosmetics when you think about it. I was rather irritated that addons came out because I wanted to log in and experience the world EXACTLY like everybody else was. Instead, Blizzard allowed mountains of easy mode scripting. Puh.

Auction bought items aren't everything. More population = more people to kill, which is an epic win. Even if the game was intended to be limited in population, and economics were considered an issue, the lack of mobs to make up for all the people still mediates the general price of things. Even then, you won't make as much money when you're fighting other people for first hits. SOME things might be cheaper (Not Devilhide when you've got entire guilds camping/farming the Saurs) but these items aren't necessarily as important as end-tier gear, and not to mention that we've all been there done that - we have addons and information well beyond the capacity of any true vanilla experience. Even if you save a lot of money on the AH because things are cheaper, that won't make end-game items/mats that much cheaper, especially when there are mountains of people camping spawn nodes and overfarming world mobs that drop core materials. It sounds bad, but WoW isn't just about killing robots - it's about conflict between human beings in the world, too.
