Not gonna lie, Nost was great. They had their hiccups too though. Overall it seemed smoother, but there's been many treaty problems between Elysium and Nost lately. Elysium is doing the best they can considering the 'Founders' of Private Vanilla (Nost) seemingly got bought out by Blizzard, leading Nost to act like nobody deserves Vanilla WoW anymore.

Eh it's not so bad. There's some hiccups here and there, but at least it's minimal. What do you expect from a small team trying to create Nostalgia for everybody. Elysium is already way over the Blizzlike max (which is awesome by the way!). They try hard to keep things flowing smoothly. Now is the time to go strengthen your wrists by swinging your katana in your living room while waiting. :)

I should mention that I've reset my router, deleted my WDB folder, AND restarted my laptop all in one fell swoop to no avail.

I too can log into any server except Elysium, which I am stuck on 'connected' with.
  5. I get disconnected right before we begin. 4100 people in queue. 35 minute estimated wait. ....F*CK.
  6. Resto druid. I was raid leader too, so the group was forced to disassemble. I'm bout to. Probably won't DC either because there will be less lag. BRM is a battlefield. Nope. We had a really nice group together though. 3 healers, 2 geared tanks, 2 mages 2 locks and 1 rogue.

    Da queue mon!

I spent a half hour getting a baller ubrs group together. Right before we started, I got D/C. 4k queue, 35 minute wait, needless to say I won't be running ubrs.
  8. Btw, sorry. I started a new job this week cutting 80 lb pallets 14 hours 5 days a week. I've been sore and tired, plus my phone broke , so I havn't been online much this week. But!! I have the weekend off so I'll meet you at Redridge! Either way, if you really do meet me there, you'll see what I've been talking about.
  9. I play PvP only. As I wrote above, I am just waiting for the fresh PvP realm. Redridge is a fun place to gank and I will certainly make a large deal of it, however it won't be my sole reason of playing. I just find that it can be fun, most particularly when high level Alliance come to save the lowbies from imminent death via Me, making them chase me. I keep killing, they keep chasing. If a 60 comes to kill me and I keep killing lowbies without dying to that 60, I find it very fun. Think Cat and Mouse maps on Starcraft 1.
  10. I understand completely. I can't kill on a PvE server unless you engage PvP.
  11. To clarify, I can kill 60's, but it takes so long it's boring, especially because another player always shows up and helps kill me during my 1v1 that has already lasted plenty of time. I went Resto on my druid on Nost to experience more Raiding (as my original HWL feral druid was pure pvp). I have my eyes set on the fresh realm and playing a mage, since I've played damage hybrids through my entire vanilla experience, I want to roll a champion with a pure on damage that scales easily with nearly any gear than can be equipped.
  12. Btw not everybody is interested in the PvE realms nor the superior latter. My motto is - if they have a funny name, then they are nothing but an acquaintance on the spot. I don't take the extra time to bother diddling with fancy names. I am a typist. I don't need to fiddle with friends list to find people - unless they have names with characters not immediately accessible on my keyboard. Albeit I know all of the numerics, it's just not appropriate to dance with such unnecessary inconveniences. We can always not interact, but if I want to stop interacting I would just evolve, losing my desire for accomplishment, social interaction, and general social atmosphere, joining Retail ( which I never will. Vanilla 4lyf). I don't really care about the fancy characters. I just know that I won't go out of my way to join or help people with them in their name. -shrug-
  13. Yes. I will be ><¥|«årú. Good luck spelling it. But then you're the wannabe Joseph. Don't you have any craving for originality?
  14. We shouldn't have to rely on the potentially high population to find enough people to communicate with, desperate or not. Interaction is the reason we play Vanilla, I'm not sure why you'd suggest deferring from it.
  15. So faith started a few threads about stories and screenshots. I wanted to join in so bad but I couldn't remember my Photobucket password. Luckily, I found all the photos online through a Google search. Yippy kye aye! Vanilla goodness. Nom nom nom. This is my guild and I posing after obliterating Astranaar. I killed all the guards and high levels on my 49 druid while my guild mates (I was GM ) killed all the players their level (20's). One of the best times I ever had on WoW! This was my 60 dwarf holy paladin (in blues and could still kill T2 players! Mwahaha) I just ran ZG for the first time and was blessed with Zin'Rohk. drooooooooooooooooooooooooooool. I was tempted to go retribution after I got it but stayed holy. It still hit like a truck and instilled massive fear. Here's me speedrunning people through RFK just to be nice. I could clear the entire dungeon in less than 5 pulls on my druid This was my mega baller resto shaman. I was unstoppable! And here's some poop falling on my head Anyways just wanted to share some good memories. I just started a new job this week, so darn! I have the weekends off so I will be playing like crazy but I was looking forward to playing all day and night for a whole week. Gotta get that money though
  16. That might be true, however, the topic changed. If you can't keep up, that's okay
  17. Ain't no thang. Forumfare (Forum warfare) is the closest I can get to vanilla PvP right now aside from joining an inferior progressed server, in which case I'd have to start from scratch, and by time I get to a decent level to PvP (assuming there are players available) Nost will be back up. So. Putcha dukes up
  18. I had a high warlord druid on the original Vanilla Bliz servers. If you're not a warlock then I'm not scared.
  19. I have to admit, it's rather humorous that you're implementing the concept of maturity and personality issues based on actions taken in a video game. We could easily say that anybody who plays video games has maturity and personality issues. Maturity issues because, well, they're playing a video game rather than doing better things in life like making their mothers proud or providing food for all the starving dying children in this world. Personality issues because they're spending time in a virtual world that limits their ability to express to typing and emotes, demeaning their social skills and ultimately making them more prone to enact in real life the way they would in the video game. Not to mention it limits the amount of social interaction one could potentially experience which, you guessed it, further demeans their personality. Just because you don't like how other people move their mouse around and click buttons in a fantasy world doesn't mean you should even begin to consider yourself qualified to judge the mental capacity and social adeptness of others, let alone actually going about and labeling others based on pixelated images that have burned into your brain. I'm gonna gank you so hard brah. We've been talking about ganking, not griefing. I think you've been posting in the wrong thread.
  20. Have you ever even played WoW before? You do realize that I can't 'decide to gank in non-contested zones' because they're not flagged for PvP, right? If they do flag themselves for PvP, they are free game and there will be no banhammer for killing flagged enemies. The only bannable offense in safezones is griefing quest NPC's for extended periods and dropping infernal bombs. It didn't go over my head because it wasn't even a logical argument.
  21. Might as well throw in the fact that a lot of people aren't interested in Nostalrius due to the fresh PvP server coming out - so they're just jumping into the game and ganking until the fresh one pops.
  22. Redridge is contested. There's no ganking in safe zones.
  23. Or the third kind of person - people who like to be a dick. I'd rather ruin peoples video game experience instead of ruining their real life lives. You can say all the demeaning things you want, but you're still going to get ganked either which way. If you don't like it, you can go to the kiddy table (PvE server) Btw, did you ever consider that the people who gank at 60 were ganked heavily while they were leveling and are just returning the favor?
