This is why I will be forming my groups most of the time. People will remember you if you lead the group, have a smooth run and do your job well. Pretty much guaranteed a spot in a decent top raiding guild this way. -

The last few days I have been savoring all the salt coming from the retail forums. The below is from a thread about the vanilla community. For Example, "Some of you are nice, I know, but many of you really, really are not. I learned that the hard way. Ten years ago I would log off the game in tears because of how people treat strangers in WoW. So . . .a feeling of community? Not really." or "I don't miss the supposed community from classic. There's a reason barrens chat has a bad reputation. I don't miss dealing with jerk guilds who went out of their way to spoil the fun of anyone not in their guild. I don't miss the supposed community that cherry picked raiders from smaller guilds, thus ensuring those guilds could never see beyond bwl, or Kara in BC. The people who were apart of that 'community' are why players were so quick to use the lfg tool when it was introduced." There just has to be two different types of players I guess. I remember being so incredibly angry and frustrated while being ganked or because of guild drama but this added so much spice to the game. Barrens chats was so unique that it became its on cultural phenomenon, no matter how retarded it was lol. The guilds that went "out of their way to spoil other peoples fun" were just people that had fun in their own way. The best pvp guilds were not the people that spend 100% of their time in BGs but the ones that actually went out and made life time enemies. As for the guilds that "Cherry picked" raiders from the lower end guilds, first of all its a competitive games and the further progressed guilds didnt want to lose time entirely gearing someone up again, second of all maybe they shouldnt suck so much.... just maybe. Just little things like this make me smile and be so glad I am no longer playing retail, where everything is rainbows and candy. -

Would Say that I am more against the LFD tools that were cross realm and teleported you to a dungeon. Personally I will just be using world chat. -

yeah well sometimes you are drunk and you want to share something. Oh well its staying up! -
So first off as of the first day of registration there was something like 32k accounts transferred and created. Since it only takes 1200 a month to keep up all 3 servers it would take $1 from each to finance the server for 2 years. There will be a lot more accounts created in the next few months as well, and some people (myself included) that are going to be paying $15 a month just like a regular subscription. All in all I am positive there will not be problems financing the server. As for your second question, I am sure there are going to be server issues on saturday. Every launch has its problems but the biggest problem is going to be trying to lvl with all the new people around.

If your brother is playing from the same IP as you how would they know. But if your brother lives in a different state from you and he logs in right after you log out that is pretty obviously account sharing and they may take action.
-
The only reason they do it is because there are people willing to pay for it. Supply follows demand not the other way around.

Do you have a link to this? I don't remembering him ever saying that.

I played TBC and Vanilla and yes most pvp happened in BGs as this was where the most honor was but I dont think I ever had 1 week where some form of large world pvp didnt happen. Be it for world bosses, ganging up on raids going into BRM or just having a ganking escalated to a war between two guilds. There was always some world pvp going on especially in farming areas like Tyrs Hand or Hearthglen -
So I finally decided that I am going to start my character on Nost pvp. I usually roll a warrior to tank but i feel like I need a change so I decided on a shaman. In pvp I can choose between 3 solid specs which is nice and for pve shaman heals and totems are amazing. My real question is how is the shaman population on the server? Any veterans of the server got any info?

Nost PvP - new healer question
Demonthese replied to Demonthese's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Yeah thats part of the appeal. Have already done a druid and found that fairly boring and a priest seems pretty good but I like the option of being a semi-melee class with enhancement. If I can scrape the gear together I would like to be enhancement for pvp or roll healing behind some melee with WF totem. Healing with shamans seems like it could be fairly interactive as well, atleast more interactive than a druid. Thank you for confirming that it will be a little over populated though. Might have to out perform and politic my way into a decent guild =P -
Nost PvP - new healer question

Holding my own wont be a problem. Experienced prot warrior through naxx so I think I can handle healing at pretty much any lvl. -

Agreed thank you! -
My first character back in vanilla was a warrior that I lvled as Prot. Almost exclusively lvled in instances or the outdoor elite areas like that troll area in hinterlands. It was definitely a ton of fun and by the time I hit 60 I was in BiS gear. You also meet alot of people and build your tank rep up at the same time which is really important of you want to main a yank.
