Best class for end game gold farming is the fisherman. Everyone always needs fish for consumes but hardly anyone likes to do it.

I like Vanilla WoW for the community mostly. No other game really offers the same deep community feeling, besides maybe Eve Online but that game requires a extreme time commitment.

Fresh server is Elysium pvp and it will start at 1.2

That's why I set up a NAS server and set up my own cloud storage. All of my data is on that. Have them in a redundant raid config too just incase 1 drive fails.And I can stream all my pirated movies from it where ever I am. That's nice too.

Oh yeah they could do legacy very easily but even if it was exactly the same it still would not capture the feeling of retail vanilla. Alot of what made vanilla so good was that it was so new and no one really knew what they were doing. People played to have fun at all levels instead of treating lvling like a chore. That the above pictures of the low lvl raid on splinter tree post. I feel like that would be harder to do because people would just see ot as getting in the way of lvling. The only way to recreate the vanilla wow experience is to have a new IP with new mechanics so no one knows what to do and the mystery comes back.

They would pretty much have to make an entirely new mmo at this point.

That's the issue is that all the spammers are throw away characters. So banning them, even IP banning them means nothing. The only way to stop them would be to get the characters they make the money on. A SQL query would be able to do that but it should by no means be the only way. And yes you are correct that ot will take man hours to go over the results of the query.

Ashenvale pvp was so awesome. I think it was better than STV since there were larger horde and alliance towns there.

My first character ever in retail I lvled up as Prot. So I must have done every instance like 6+ times lvling in vanilla. If you look at the first screen shot on my original post you will see I was lvl 59 but have all my valor and the desk shield already.

Yeah all the way through vanilla and the beginning of BC I was definitely a clicker. Never really held me back though. After switching it took me awhile to get used too but I feel keybinds helped a little, mostly with pvp.

It actually wouldn't be hard to set up a SQL query to flag certain players whom take certain actions. 1. Large gold transfers regularly. 2. Playing extremely long hours since gold farming accounts are often shared. 3.large amount of time spent in common farming areas. Just having a query with this criteria would most likely highlight a vast majority of gold farmers.

Fantastic. That damn game box. I think I still have mine. Also Instructor is such a cool fight with the MC tanking. Took me so long to break my habit of sundering while tanking the adds.

I am hoping that one day in the future maybe a few years from now the Elysium team will decide to start a BC server we can transfer our characters too. Probably after the fresh server has been on Naxx for like 8 months to a year would be a minimum.

I understand exactly how you feel. For me the death of WoW started in Wrath with the AoE tanking changes and ended in the LFG and LFR tools that would port you directly to the instance and was cross realm. Absolutely destroyed the challenge of tanking and destroyed the server community.

The only thing I really cant stand is an entitlement attitude. For instance, the people that think the Elysium team owes them the fresh server sooner even thought the team is doing the entire thing for free. That being said I really hope there is some drama and salt on the forums due to pvp and guild grudges.
