Got hacked - Four accounts total

Not going to beg or demand, just here to inform so that maybe a few 100 more people enable IP lock ASAP. All four of my accounts with 12+ character passwords liquidated within 5mins of each other. The liquidation process has to be done by addons/bots because literally my entire account was empty on my 2 raiding characters and the one that i prepped for raid the night before still had 58mins left on songflower........... I am aware of the policy of elysium and am likely going to use this as a fresh start on some other adventure. I do have a ticked submitted telling them what happened and asking for a roll back, and that I do not care at all about gold / common items, but I am not hopeful. Literally I just want to be able to raid and assist my guild. Everyone's account is precious to them, but a majority of these posts crying over 10g an following with rage literally have no context compared to others. I cannot imagine putting a gold value on what was liquidated including Raid gear on 2 characters and multiple 1000's of gold not even counting materials and flasks. To everyone with no authenticator, I am a Nost transfer and have never played on another private server, I do not create accounts on websites using any similar info, and I run very good virus and malware tracking software. Even with an open mind, the accuracy with which they targeted all 4 accounts is nothing short of amazing, and I am literally clueless. GET AUTHENTICATORS ASAP, and Ill see you guys in the next game.
  2. Your system is decently thought out, but DKP itself is outdated there are many systems created after DKP that are better overall in every aspect than DKP if attendance for points for gear is your goal. Next, it is obvious you have never played MMO with young adults to adults using points based(DKP) systems. They flat out do not work for serious guilds with decent leaders who are interested in bettering the guild as a whole. Any decently intelligent person with a bit of creativity will exploit the points system in the best way possible. This can be done by group price fixing and many other methods. For vanilla wow, and experienced leadership, loot council is the only way. If you cannot trust your leadership enough to quantify who deserves what based on attendance/performance/reward then you need new leadership. These points systems work much better in later versions of wow due to how itemization was standardized and there were very few highly desired cross class items. Good luck with designing the perfect point based system.
  3. Bandwagon poster just seeing someones opinion and trying to push it along with no real thought, 90%+ of these people probably didnt play either Vanilla or TBC wow and are just looking back adding commentary.
  4. There is really nothing to see, unless you are an inexperienced MMO player this is already common knowledge. Open world PvP in wow was never more than an after thought, they didnt care about it, they didnt flesh it out and as soon as they could transfer over to BG they totally abandoned the thought of it for anything other than jokes. You can attempt to blame TBC, which isnt logical, but in reality there was so much drive for the PvE aspects of Wow that everything PvP took a back seat. If you really want to know how many mini projects Blizzard scrapped due to planned disinterest, find that older thread of Blizzard PvP brainstormed ideas and plans which were all canceled/pushed back. Neutral quest hubs that when taken over by either faction granted pvp dailies for exp and gold and a server wide faction honor bonus was the top one I remember. PvP was never given much thought outside of BG and Arena, this is a sad but true fact, which is why Wow was and will never be known for its large scale pvp.
