Not sure what to say about drain tanking, never tried it. When I leveled I did the standard affl/demo specuntil lvl 40, then I respecced SL and put points in affl. SL alone was very useful just using void walker (with points in it). At lvl 52 I chose this spec: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#IZbxcuGxotZxxM This maximized succubus damage. If I was soloing she could tank a mob for a few seconds, and by the time I got aggro and the mob ran to me it was almost dead. Note that at level 52 she gets a Lash of Pain upgrade, plus twice the lash of pain frequency and 30% more damage, plus 13% overall extra damage. In dungeons like BRD she was doing 25% of my total damage. Also, seduction worked really well with those talent points. It was really fun. Like being a BM hunter, the pet damage has nothing to do with your gear, so it can be really good but totally not viable at level 60.

That's why Satyr's Bow > Blackcrow for melee, and for hunters Barbarous Blade > a set of Dal'Rends', and when Timbermaw +15 agility to weapon enchant comes out two Bone Slicing Hatchets > Barbarous Blade. Therefore any melee who roll on blackcrow over a hunter and any hunters who roll on Da'Rends' over melee have no idea how to play their class.

Why would we NOT merge the servers? There is absolutely no reason to except for people who whine about their little safe spaces. Consolidate both servers into one, ease pressure on the GMs and devs, decrease costs, unite community.

Same here, could not get the quest on Elysium at lvl 52.

Back when I was a film student, I couldn't afford to pay anyone for videos/films so I got my friends to act and do other production tasks. There is always drama when people work for free, always. Don't blame Elysium so much, IMO.

I'll be respeccing SL at 42 to keep at least 2 points in imp corruption, which makes it cast a little faster than the GCD speed. Indeed, most of the guides assume that the server isn't fresh, that the player can juggle 3 mobs without getting ganked, and that it's around the DM patch. Aside from imp corruption, siphon life, SM, and maybe suppression, the affl tree really isn't that good. And really you are only trading siphon life and SM for soul link -- you can get the other affl talents along with soul link. For the affliction purists, have fun.

There has been no queue on Elysium the past two nights that I logged on.

I started with 5/5 imp corruption 2/2 imp drain soul. Now I'm going down the demo tree to soul link. Soul link itself gives 3% dmg to both player and pet, plus unholy power 20% dmg for pet, succubus for dungeons gives extra 10% dmg in ALL schools or 15% shadow when sacced. The only appealing things down the affl tree are siphon life, SM, nightfall, and you could go soul link and still get nightfall at lvl 56-57. I think soul link is definitely worth it leveling on any of the pvp servers. The only thing better would be both SM and DS, which means you've just hit 60, which means you can go a legit spec like SM/Ruin.

Yeah, lots of people will quit around lvl 30. But guess what, a fuck ton more will sign up. I have 3 IRL friends waiting to sign up after the starting zone spike. There are retailers who are extremely interested in vanilla who will decide to finally try Elysium. There are people on other private servers who will decide to come here. There are people with no current connection to WoW who loved vanilla, they hear about Elysium, then want to sign up. The same exact thing happened with Nost PVP. Lots showed up for launch, some left, then the population grew steadily over time. Getting really tired of these whiny cunts telling everyone what to do. What is the worst that could happen? They merge the two servers? You have less noobs to gank on Nost PVP?

Of course it fucking matters. I did come back mid-Cata and missed the entire FL progression. You prepare for the raid launch. You have a group of friends in a guild and everyone invests time and effort into killing the first boss. There are fights, drama, laughter, eventually you succeed, the boss drops loot, you get DKP or an item, everyone is happy, the reward center of the brain lights up, and you move onto the second boss. This continues until it's cleared. This is part of the FUCKING game. It's not part of the game to skip the entire Onyxia attunement quest line because AQ20 and AQ40 are already out by the time you hit 60. You trade the entire above-mentioned raid experience with taking a trip to the BWL Orchards and farming free shit like a lowly leech. The Nost PVP purists are no different than retailers insisting that everyone should play their version of the game because it's the most "valid" and the best. Fuck off.

Blame the Elysium staff? Blame Blizzard for ignoring the massive demand for legacy servers, forcing us to play on private servers? Blame the afkers and cheaters? Waste of time. It can't be helped, just accept.

My friend had this problem. I saw a post in the support forum by someone who had the same problem. He fixed it by creating a new account with a unique password.

Do you really need this explained to you? I leveled 1-60 on Nost PVP after the ZG patch and it was a painful grind. 60s ganked people constantly. Everyone was decked out in BWL gear. PVPing was difficult. Guilds were established and finding core raider spots was difficult. New players missed half of the fucking vanilla experience. How is jumping right into DM and ZG a real vanilla experience? How is joining your first Onyxia raid, "LFM Onyxia head, shard of scale, backpack, sinew reserved" a real vanilla experience? Elysium is a FRESH server, like starting WoW when it launched. That is what it feels like too. It's the most fun I've had in months. There is a contagious excitement. We get to experience ALL of vanilla. At 60 I want to grind BRD, BRS, Scholo, Strat, because that's part of the game. If a fresh server opened up a year from now I would understand if new players want to play on it. In fact I would be interested in playing on it too. Why? Because it's fucking vanilla. There is a finite amount of content. What the fuck do you expect people to do 1-2 years from now when Naxx is cleared? If they can't transfer to a BC server, they're going to start on a fresh vanilla server again.

No way. I'd only think about it if the second server is in NA time; I'd really like to see the sun in game. The second server will be filled with people who give up. I'd rather play with tryhards. Besides, Elysium PVP is awesome.

Start fresh IMO. I have a 60 on the old PVP server, leveling up after the ZG patch was pretty rough, there was a ton of unnecessary ganking and all the guilds/raids were already established and fulled geared. I started fresh on the PVE server recently. The server is great, but I need a PVP server, and for me the fresher the better. Also, props on the repping Richard D. James.
