I would assume he will be able to start the event for you. I've also already purchased the materials and have several guildmates in line to help out. No idea why this wouldn't work as it did on retail.

Thank you for the response! Hopefully an announcement will be made indicating whether the correction results in Paladins no longer being able to do their quest or Warlocks now being able to do theirs. While it goes against the vanilla progression, I believe allowing locks to complete their quest early would make the most sense (and the most fair) as Paladins have been able to do so already. Plus I'm tired of getting passed by all these epic mounts!

Just attempted the event on Elysium. J'eevee spawned correctly but when he created the bell, wheel, and candle they were not visible. Event also ended after killing the first wave of imps. Was able to re-start the event and same results the second time. Checking to see results of others' attempts.

Still having the issue here as well. Tried a private window and disabled extensions. Will keep trying I guess. Update: Using an incognito tab on the phone rather than pc worked.

Seems like the most rational option for any server that releases without indicating the intent to add expansions in the future would be to make a copy and give players a choice. Have a character continue at vanilla-only (or event TBC if one progresses to WotLK) or make a copy that goes on to the progressive server. Now if developers indicate the plan is to progress through expansions in the first place, then there would be no need to copy and players have an idea of what to expect down the road (assuming a server lasts that long).

Get out of here with all that rational thinking. This adds nothing to the drama/confusion I've chuckled at while reading from those freaking out.

Hopefully this allows those looking to revive their old characters a place to play while lessening the insanity on the new server resulting in a smoother launch.

Announcement coming next week. All that is known.

PTE = servers where expansions are planned to be added in the future (usually by allowing you to 'copy' a character over to the expansion realm). I believe it has been said that the focus is solely on vanilla at this time.

Have accounts from the 2nd test been wiped? Getting a 'This value is already used.' message for both username & email when trying to register for the 3rd test. Very cool plans for 3rd event by the way!
