I've played Legion for roughly a month (not really a BAD game, but really BAD for players who have known Vanilla) before deciding going back to privates, and I'm must say, Sir, that it is very true. Countless sentences or easter-eggs are meant to trigger nostalgia on the old player ... Sometimes rather funny, sometimes I have to admit it feels a bit forced to feed old content right in your mouth... The Noggefengger Goblin guy finally becomes rich from his potions business, and can be seen in the Rogues Headquarters. One of the Vault of the Wardens' Boss is a giant fire golem wich was frozen, thus missed the Ragnaros call to help in MC. You can loot the Shaman T0 Bracers as a grey item just meant to make some money. The description is something like "found in a very far time, by an ancient hero on a elemental". DK Campaign involves to come back and destroy the Scarlet Monastery, rezzing the High Inquisitor Whitemane. There's some easter egg with Nat Paggle book and Ashbringer (back in the Vanilla day, when there was this rumor you could get it by fishing in a particular place or a lot). etc, etc ...

Ninja-Looting is Blizzlike. Troll aside, all GM's from official or non-official servers I've played on, never cared on looting incidents, except loss during crash. This is player responsability to prevent such situations. Thus, Ninja-looters evade direct sanctions, but are often hit by social justice as they become publicy known and avoided on parties. ... I'm not quite sure about that, but discussion is rather pointless since rules may vary. What is to be remembered is that Nostalrius devs had the power and did an amazing job on this, but it's still a lot of work that could be put elsewhere.

I don't know how they do it. But from what I remember, they were able in Nostalrius to ban the sellers, ban the buyers and even remove the illegal gold wich was then acquired by normal means (Evil Farmer BAN ==gold==> Avarious Buyers BAN ==gold traded, spent on AH or mailed ==> REMOVED). But devs refused to tell how for obvious reasons. Check ancients forums. Also I remember a problem occured by rerollers in the early prohibition days, where the anti-cheat algorithm would automatically ban people sending or trading large money amount to alts ( = perceveid as complete strangers, so as suspicious).
