Just a question, are paladins (holy) decent in 1v1 world pvp?
El_Risitas replied to Danko's topic in Paladin
Weapon swaps now delete your reckbomb charges, i think this was not mentioned in patchnotes... so Holy/Reckbomb spec is not that fun anymore. :/ -
I didn't know those gnomish mind control caps worked in vanilla while in combat. I remember on most freeshards you had to be out of combat to use them, how is it on nostalrius?

Spotted Theloras and Killerduki on youtube
-
Looks like you are right Theloras, those wiki entries seem to be faked. I watched some old pala vids and even with r14 or aq40 gear, the consecration damage was between 65 and 80 per tick.
-
How can you be that sure? The vanilla wiki page is also telling it scaled with both, spellpower and attack power by 32% each "From release to nowdays. Except, weirdly, in TBC expansion patches." Also the patchnotes of 2.0.1 are incomplete, there were changes to consecration in this patch like ppl on wowhead mentioned in the comments. "Commented by Everclarity In patch 2.0.1, Consecration was changed to a trainable spell at level 20, with new ranks trainable every 10 levels, just as before. In the holy talent tree, Consecration has been replaced by an Aura Mastery talent, which increases the radius of the Paladin's Auras to 40 yards." "Comment by Atomicmuffin Since this spell as of Patch 2.0.1 is trainable at level 20 and no longer requires a taent point it should be obtained and used by all paladins...." So there are hints about changes to consecration with TBC release (or short before) but you wont find anything about these changes in the patchnotes. I think this stuff need some serious research and not (probably) flawed memories of old players.

"Consecration Coefficient The coefficient have been the same From release to nowadays. Except, weirdly, in TBC expansion patches. Consecration deals 32% of bonus spell damage, and 32% of Attack Power, distributed evenly among 8 seconds. The damage done can be increased by up to 10 % with the protection talent One-Handed Weapon Specialization." http://vanilla-wow.wikia.com/wiki/Consecration

New player looking for a class that fits.

Here is a video with druid PoV in Blackwing Lair -> -
- Elemental school melee attacks now ignore the damage reduction from armor and can no longer crush or be blocked. Is this just a shaman thing, or was the armor damage reduction they talk about a thing with SoC procs on old Nost?
-
Are procs like the one of Hand of Ragnaros or Darkmoon Card: Maelstrom working in shapeshift form? And if so, will they scale with +spell damage on items and flask of supreme power?
-
I tested it on retro-wow but maybe the command is not implemented on this server, or it probably is my client.
-
The "/console screenshotFormat jpg" command is not working for me, maybe my client is just too old. I just used VLC player to open those .tga screenshots in the past. xd

Are 5 points in "Feral Instinct" mandatory for PvP, or will i also be fine with 5 points in "Thick Hide" instead?
-
I think http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=10418 could be useful if you face alot of warlocks in PvP. Im not sure if it is still possible to equip this trinket after unlearning your BS profession, but maybe someone knows.

Okay, now i know why the effective DPS keeps decrasing without an active combat flag. If there is someone outside your group/raid hitting some stuff, his data will be collected. His combat flag is the indicator for an active fight and will change your own DPS data, even if you don't want him to have influence. This won't be a problem in instanced areas, but can be annoying outside. Maybe you can change the "group only" filter option to actually ignore the data of ppl outside your group/raid.
