Just a question, are paladins (holy) decent in 1v1 world pvp?
El_Risitas replied to Danko's topic in Paladin
Weapon swaps now delete your reckbomb charges, i think this was not mentioned in patchnotes... so Holy/Reckbomb spec is not that fun anymore. :/ -
I didn't know those gnomish mind control caps worked in vanilla while in combat. I remember on most freeshards you had to be out of combat to use them, how is it on nostalrius?

Spotted Theloras and Killerduki on youtube
-
Looks like you are right Theloras, those wiki entries seem to be faked. I watched some old pala vids and even with r14 or aq40 gear, the consecration damage was between 65 and 80 per tick.
-
How can you be that sure? The vanilla wiki page is also telling it scaled with both, spellpower and attack power by 32% each "From release to nowdays. Except, weirdly, in TBC expansion patches." Also the patchnotes of 2.0.1 are incomplete, there were changes to consecration in this patch like ppl on wowhead mentioned in the comments. "Commented by Everclarity In patch 2.0.1, Consecration was changed to a trainable spell at level 20, with new ranks trainable every 10 levels, just as before. In the holy talent tree, Consecration has been replaced by an Aura Mastery talent, which increases the radius of the Paladin's Auras to 40 yards." "Comment by Atomicmuffin Since this spell as of Patch 2.0.1 is trainable at level 20 and no longer requires a taent point it should be obtained and used by all paladins...." So there are hints about changes to consecration with TBC release (or short before) but you wont find anything about these changes in the patchnotes. I think this stuff need some serious research and not (probably) flawed memories of old players.

"Consecration Coefficient The coefficient have been the same From release to nowadays. Except, weirdly, in TBC expansion patches. Consecration deals 32% of bonus spell damage, and 32% of Attack Power, distributed evenly among 8 seconds. The damage done can be increased by up to 10 % with the protection talent One-Handed Weapon Specialization." http://vanilla-wow.wikia.com/wiki/Consecration

- Elemental school melee attacks now ignore the damage reduction from armor and can no longer crush or be blocked. Is this just a shaman thing, or was the armor damage reduction they talk about a thing with SoC procs on old Nost?
-
Are procs like the one of Hand of Ragnaros or Darkmoon Card: Maelstrom working in shapeshift form? And if so, will they scale with +spell damage on items and flask of supreme power?
-
I tested it on retro-wow but maybe the command is not implemented on this server, or it probably is my client.
-
The "/console screenshotFormat jpg" command is not working for me, maybe my client is just too old. I just used VLC player to open those .tga screenshots in the past. xd

Are 5 points in "Feral Instinct" mandatory for PvP, or will i also be fine with 5 points in "Thick Hide" instead?
-
I think http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=10418 could be useful if you face alot of warlocks in PvP. Im not sure if it is still possible to equip this trinket after unlearning your BS profession, but maybe someone knows.

Okay, now i know why the effective DPS keeps decrasing without an active combat flag. If there is someone outside your group/raid hitting some stuff, his data will be collected. His combat flag is the indicator for an active fight and will change your own DPS data, even if you don't want him to have influence. This won't be a problem in instanced areas, but can be annoying outside. Maybe you can change the "group only" filter option to actually ignore the data of ppl outside your group/raid.
-
Oh nice, i just tested it and was abit confused why it keeps reseting 1-5 seconds after my combat flag went off. I just noticed, there was a guy hitting the dummy, he was not in raid and my filter was set to group only, still it resets my data. Well this won't be a problem in raid instances but i don't care for dps other ppl outside my group/raid are doing and they should not be able to trigger a reset if your filter is set to "group only".

Ty for your advice, i was able to create a second window. Well this is not what i mean. The data collection of my DPS keeps going, even if i am already out of combat resulting in a constant DPS decay. But you also mentioned the "effective dps" option. Well, i didn't see any difference between DPS and effective DPS data collection. Also the effective DPS won't pause if you are out of combat, resulting in a constant DPS decay while your raid is buffing/moving to next mob pack or boss. About my scrolling issue, i am talking about the config windows like the columns tab. I just made a screenshot to clear things up, just let me know if a mousewheel would solve my problem there. https://imgur.com/a/HzyzD Also there is a reset option you can see on my screenshot, would be awesome if you could add this. I'd like to have a DPS/effective Heal window with autoreset triggered whenever a new combat starts. So i can do a quick check on last fight data (without clicking anything), while moving to the next boss/mob pack. Still you have the second window showing the data of the whole raid which will not reset at all. You are right, effective healing is the the most important data. A healer wasting all his mana into someone that does not even need healing could be the first in overall healing done but he won't be useful at all, so effective healing is the only thing that counts.

Thanks for the notes, so reckoning is unloaded on next swing, this is why you won't see multiple SoC procs appear in the same reckbomb. But where can i read about the chance to proc. You think it is set to the first hit only, or just counting as one attack at all (?) but still there are 5 white hits in your attack. So what if they implemented this restriction for "on-next-swing abilities" (reckbomb) but still every white hit in your bomb can trigger the one and only SoC proc that can appear in it?
-
I don't think he means two or even more SoC procs would shoot off in the same reckbomb, but the possibility of getting a SoC proc is higher. For example, you got a reckbomb charged up to 5 hits and unload it with SoC up. We know the SoC proc will only shoot off once in those 5 hits, but your chance that it will shoot off is 5 times higher than with a single hit. This is why you see the SoC proc in reckbombs sometimes appear after 3rd hit, maybe sometimes after 4th hit, because the first 1-2 hits didn't proc it. I think he is right with his point. Is there any evidence you can provide? I just know how it is working on other Freeshards and you can actually see SoC procs shooting off after 2nd-5th hit of your reckbomb. If your claims are correct, the SoC proc could only appear at the first of your 5 hits. Considering fiery weapon enchant, lifedrain and other procs (correct me if im mistaken) are also based on PPM, they should also only be able to trigger on your first weapon swing in a 5 hit reckbomb.

Hey Shino, i got some questions, but first i want to thank you for the effort you put into this addon. I used SW_Stats in the past and when i tryed out DPSMate i just noticed that it does not stop gathering data when you are out of combat. In SW_Stats if the combat stops the DPS data will be paused, in DPSMate it keeps collecting resulting in very low DPS numbers shown in your DPS-Tab. Well, is there an option to only show in combat DPS data? Also i would like a seperate frame where DPS data resets as soon as combat starts, so i can keep track of the dps done last fight. I guess to add a new frame you have to push the config and new segement button, but there is no second frame appearing if i do so. Also if i open the configuration window, there is no way to enlarge the window (like you can do with the chat window) or a sidebar to scroll down to see all options. I guess you can scroll down with your mousewheel but sadly my wheel is broken. :c Thanks for your time.

Playing on Nost was one of the best gaming experience i ever had (ofc beside those 7 years of Dark Age of Camelot). I can't believe this is going to happen again. Thank you so much Nostalrius/Elysium-Team!

Did Perception (stealth detection) even work on old Nost? I played a human paly and never noticed any detection bonus while it was up. I also tryed a dorf paly on retro-wow and i rly like the possibility to clear blinds. So i think i will roll dorf pala on the fresh realm, even if i prefer the human models.
