You will be ganked by higher lvls on the fresh aswell. Raid: Yeah, the game is 12 years old, world first are a distant memory. MC is easy with blue gear and BWL is the highest raid on old server. Straight out invalid. PvP: Sure, to some extent. But there is also the premade factor to say nothing of the rock-paper-scissor of vanilla balance. 3) Yeah you bet and people like you start spreading the misconceptions that the old server was some hellhole were 90% were in naxx gear and doing nothing but griefing the few low lvls who dared coming onto the server.

Okay, I phrased it badly. Point still stands that if it weren't for the hype of the database returning, the freshers would not be here yelling about the need for a fresh server to in their words "preserve the community".

Maybe factor in the need for support staff. What people seem to overlook is that every server need a certain amount of GMs and other support staff and releasing the servers bit by bit helps ease the transition.

You know what, the old players from Nostalrius actually have a right to be entitled. The database is the reason for the hype. How many of the freshers started playing on Valkyries/Elysium server when it fresh released in August? I would say a minority if even that. And it's not "our side" blasting the forums or subreddits with constant new topics where we whine about servers being "delayed" (it is not, it's still on time).

There doesn't have to be vote manipulation either. By not being able to properly control the people answering the poll you get a skewed result. It's worthless. I progressed thru the leveling content just fine, loads of new people to group with. Sure, I got a free ride thru MC and BWL, but honestly, the main reason I'll continue on the old server is AQ40 and Naxx.
