  1. I played on the xiao peak yesterday and in four games, every single game was a 5/0 win or loss, won first, lost second, won third, and guess what happened in the fourth? You'd be lucky to go a full western peak AB weekend with a single 5/0, this can't be a coincidence, when I reported it, the GM told me to come here, which seems like a weird place to report win-trading but here I am.
  2. Some dude posted ~1500 LBS at an artificially high price to scam noobs. Somehow they're the first 1500 results, I have no idea how this happened with this broken AH. I don't like using non-essential add-ons so I'm not going to install aux, whatever that is, I'm just not going to buy the item until he stops inflating prices. I can guarantee you that Blizzard GMs would not just have told people to install third party software had this happened back in retail, if that was even an option. This behaviour needs to be discouraged somehow.
  3. There is absolutely no way a Blizzard employee would suggest third party solutions to this problem and since it's abusing a flaw in the design of the game, they would probably also do something about it.
  4. I've seen about 4-5 world dragons killed and it's always super early, 7-10 in the morning. This makes it pretty much impossible for anyone from the EU to kill them and while the US west coast might have a chance it's obviously way better for the xiaos. They absolutely need to randomize the dragons better.

    Whats with the griefing posts?

Certainly, but preferably there wouldn't be any lashing at all.

I don't think you mean to say fallacy there, but I have to try to open their eyes, even if it is in vain. It hurts me deeply that there are people out there that are so troubled that they have to lash out in this way.

You're exactly right, this game attracts geeks and this version much more so, and they are in general very prone to various personality issues from years of feeling powerless. This is not a healthy way to deal with that.

My panties aren't in a bunch, but I'm not talking about the video game, I'm talking about the interaction between people, the medium just happens to be a video game. Try reading your post again and remove the mention of "video game", "Some people just like to piss people off" - This is extremely unhealthy behaviour since it seems to be indiscriminate. Again, I'm not responding to ganking/griefing, I'm doing an analysis of the personality traits of some of the people who do it. I don't really mind ganking, this is a service to you. I thank you for your analysis but we both know that you are just trying to undermine me so you don't have to take me seriously. But I urge you to do exactly that, since this is something you really need to work on, but you won't until you recognize the problem.

It happens inside a video-game but you've already said that it's from other people that you derive your sick enjoyment. I'm not being sensitive, I'm analyzing your behaviour and the result is not flattering to put it mildly.

I don't remember ever being ganked, that's not to say I never did, I just don't remember it, it didn't leave an impression. I play NE so I usually just shadowmeld if any high level shows up in case they're a loser, e.g. someone who has fun as a direct consequence of the lack of other's. I mean, we all have our faults, I just have a hard time imagining this kind of behaviour not negatively affecting your life, or at least being a symptom of a serious personality problem. This is not acceptable behaviour, which is why you do it in a game and not in real life, but there is an actual person on the other side. You are a bad person and I hope you don't have any delusions about that. I don't remember ever being ganked, that's not to say I never did, I just don't remember it, it didn't leave an impression. You're "tingling" from people being upset with your behaviour, this is not a red flag to you? I could understand it if you found some interesting way to do it, or if you're running past a lowbie town you might kill a couple of them. But going out of your way to bother other people really just sounds like someone who feels so powerless in real life that they want to exert their virtual power over lowbies or someone who is just genuinely such a bad person that he likes the misery of others. Either way, you should really reevaluate your life choices.
  12. If a 2h respawn makes it more Blizzlike I'm sure people will stop whining(read as making suggestions). I don't think downscaling the respawn is the best solution but I'm sure the devs will make the correct decision. Did the priests have to apply on the forums for permission to do Benediction and then camp the spawn for days+ to be able to do it? If yes, kudos to priests.
  13. The devs obviously have last say but I imagine that they are very interested in our thoughts on the subject.
  14. Yes, you said nothing of value.
  15. Only reason 7h may have been fine is because not that many people were doing the quest back then, 3h was certainly not fine because at that point there were 100+ hunters doing the quest. There is no way to deal with it, it's simply not viable. If you have nothing to contribute there is no reason for you to be here.
  16. Again, another post misses the point completely. 7h is not Blizzlike, and depending on how you define it, neither is 3h.
  17. No, by having the discussion we're already helping, regardless of how good our ideas are.
  18. You have no ваууing clue what this game is about dipshit, we're helping the devs make it better, now contribute or вау off.
  19. Agreed, but this quest was an absolute mess on Nostalrius, I did it pretty early on in the "queuing" phase so I only had to wait a week with hardcore camping, which wasn't really that bad for me. But as far as I can tell, it only got worse after that, which should provide enough motivation to change the quest mechanics imo. Another option would be to reduce the amount of people doing the quest by reducing the droprate of leaf but I'm guessing people will like this even less.
  20. Oh, I just inferred fairness from the "accessible to everyone" but whatever you meant the motivation was, there is a fundamental difference between fairness and Blizzlike, since we don't care about fairness but Blizzlike is a foundation of the project.
  21. I'm not saying it should be accessible to everyone as a matter of fairness, but as a matter of Blizzlike, which should be very convincing.

    Guild Membership cap.

Gonna bring out the mandatory "population > 2500" isn't Blizzlike". This being the case, we're going to need to consider whether the change brings a Blizzlike experience rather than being pedantically Blizzlike. I don't really have an opinion on the guild cap but we need to end the "MUH BLIZZLIKE!" meme and focus on the experience.
  23. The patch notes say nothing either way. There is no mention of the respawn timer, so where are you going to get it from? Pull a number out of a hat? Do a /roll and put it as that many hours? I don't know how Nost did it, but if they put at 7h they must have had some evidence that I don't, or they just had a vague idea what it should be, such as someone remembering it being 7h, and went with it. This new evidence certainly supersedes the latter.
  24. It's obviously someone who has done the quest himself and is in the environment where people are doing these and has a good overall sense of the different aspects of the quests, he's making a guide for ваууs sake. You keep belittling the evidence but it is great evidence, and it's incredibly ironic that you don't seem to have any evidence of your own. I didn't accept anything as truth, I accepted it as the experience of players of the time, which it certainly is and in the absence of better evidence it effectively is truth on this matter. You have contributed nothing to this discussion by the way, every post you've made can be boiled down to "QUESTS SHOULDN'T BE MADE EASIER!", which I hope we can both agree is an absurd notion when the real goal is (a) Blizzlike (experience). If you want to further your stance, which you haven't stated yet, but I assume is a 7h respawn since you really hate the idea of a 3h one, I suggest you find some evidence from the times of patches 1.4-1.12 that actually support your stance. I don't believe you will find it since it is founded on nothing, you are more invested in "Nostlike" at this point rather than Blizzlike. It's not about needing it, but it's a great part of the experience and every hunter who can, should do the quest. Furthermore, any hunter who had the skills to actually kill the demons could in retail vanilla, that is not necessarily the case here, aka. not Blizzlike. Now that we've established that it's not Blizzlike anyway, let's change it from something that attempts to be pedantically Blizzlike and something that emulates the experience.
  25. If you had the link this would be incredibly interesting, but you don't, so it's useless. Are you really dim enough to believe that your word of a link is the same evidence as an actual link written in a very serious and professional manner? Furthermore, my link is good evidence. The only other evidence that would be better would be explicit patch notes. But do you know why there doesn't exist more evidence on the respawn timer? BECAUSE BLIZZLIKE MEANS THAT NOBODY CARED ABOUT THE RESPAWN TIMER, IT WAS NOT AN ISSUE! Do you understand why the current state of the quest may be technically Blizzlike, but not really?
