How about lower the population cap to something blizzlike.
Allelujah replied to Nalzyrak's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
If you are going to say no, give a reason as to why. Don't be apart of the crowd that thinks others are mind readers. Be intellectually responsible. Share your reasons. ON TOPIC: If they were to decrease the realm population to blizzard standards then they would need to open more realms. -
Well... it wouldn't be hard. I hear that you can export data from a database. Export the ban list. Then take the emails found associated with the banned accounts. Make an email list in outlook using said emails with the associated accounts and use functions to personalize the email. You can make a function for ban reason, account name, character name, ban length, time, etc. It's not hard. It's already done for them just make the functions and the database does the rest.

No.. I believe you misunderstood me. I said the Game Masters can find the e-mails and report it to Administration for an e-mail to be sent explaining why they were banned or something could be done. I don't believe any private server core has the ability to send e-mails upon being banned. There could be, but I have yet to see it. In regards to the core. Yes Nost's development team used Mangos as their structure, at least from what I have heard.

Ban Appeals Click that link, but be sure to use the correct format. They supply said format HERE. Hope that this information helps you.

It can be handled by the client, however, as you have stated.. due to security reasons they may have disabled it. The .pinfo command(without modification from the original state of the magos core) displays: account name account level email ip mute status ban status/reason location last login online/offline There are some other things that it may also display. Just a general compilation of the account and character information.

If you were banned with no reason given and you would like to know please create a thread in the Ban appeal section so that you may be placed in a queue to have your question answered in the order of which it were received. There are a lot of threads coming up about being banned with no reason. You're not alone, however, there is no need for another thread that states the same thing. Create a thread in the Ban Section asking for an explanation or an appeal for your ban.
-
Why not create a ban appeal thread and find out? That would be an option.

I will agree to the point that not knowing why you were banned is kind of bad, however, if you were breaking the rules then you had it coming. That's all I can say. They clearly state rules in a post and furthermore you agreed to have read them before logging into the game. That was while creating an account and visiting the website. Then again, there should be some sort of way to know why you are banned. They do have records of your e-mail so they should send you an e-mail. I agree with you there, however, they're not obligated to do so.

Well I hope you find what you're looking for. Good luck.

I remember when Combo Points depleted on the target's death. Nothing new here. You're just accustomed to Blizzard's current World of Warcraft. Before you mention it; Druids are the same way while in feral.
-
Well the information I have provided you is a very good indication of what's to come.

It would appear that you have mistaken me for a member of the staff team. No, I wouldn't say there is nothing that can be done without first: Hearing from an official member of the staff team.

Even though you have no idea why, I would strongly suggest posting this in the ban appeal section. Give what information you can. Again; I understand that you have no idea what you have done.
