So, let's talk about the War Efforts
StarecaseXD replied to Lifealert's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
The fact that they are going to force us to rely on an auto-complete of an unknown % tells u all u need to know. AQ isn't going to be ready anytime soon and all of us are foolish for getting our hopes up. I've been able to ignore all the drama up until the abysmal implementation of the war effort but it is clear as day that there are big issues with this whole project. I'll continue to play here until my guild is no longer able to field raids. If the current trajectory is any indication, that won't be long. -

That is assuming they have a working auto-complete at a reasonable % per day Seems like we aren't going to get AQ -
1 more week of war effort plus the 2 bwl resets gives them 3 weeks to finish it up. That should be more than enough time to put the finishing touches on the raid unless they have been deceiving all us players about how far along they really are. A lot of my raiders have pretty much lost patience with the server's leadership and their BS so Its pretty difficult to remain positive about the prospects for remaining on this server and being able to field a raid team. Hope you are wrong about your prediction mang.

I think it is understood by the serious posters in this thread that they need to get this right. One can only hope that the administrators have been absorbing feedback and also understand the gravity of the update. You said 3-4 weeks. Lets not go beyond that please.
-
This. Lets not rely on auto-complete... Because there is an issue of trust here between the developers and the players. People invest a significant amount of time and energy into playing on this server so it is important that they feel like it is worth it.
-
Especially taking into account all the controversy that occurred over the past month or so. Health of Anathema is relying on them exercising good judgement here.
-
+1 Really hope u guys made the numbers reasonable so we don't have to rely on the auto-complete...

So, let's talk about the population diminishing
StarecaseXD replied to AzAMOuS's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
The argument isn't that AQ will bring a flood of players, rather that it will give an already diminished raiding population incentive to play on Anathema. @Jorn Skyseer Keeping 40+ people enthusiastic about raiding isn't possible w/ large content droughts, so yes, I am impatient. The dev team said the event could be completed within a day if everyone turned in their materials and here we are 2 and a half weeks later and some materials still haven't left the single digits percentage wise. -

The sooner the better. People in my guild are starting to lose a lot of enthusiasm and I can only imagine others are feeling the same way. Couple more weeks w/ no action and the server is going to lose some raid guilds. -
This. I can wait a bit but my concern is that others won't.
-
Copper bar completion jumped by 5k in the past day to 35k. Out of 1.25 million needed. At that rate the war effort will be completed in 243 days, assuming collection of other materials doesn't go slower. You can't honestly believe that that is reasonable, or that the outcome of adhering to that number will be good for the server.
-
That explains why 30k out of the 2+ million copper ore they referenced has been sumbitted. 5 star post, thanks.
-
I'm all for having something to work towards but some of these just aren't feasible Things like the leather and the cloth make sense (and numbers could probably be even higher) because they aren't limited by spawns and the higher level materials are even now, nearing completion. The low level ores/herbs/cooking mats are where the concern lies and when you have these items that aren't plentiful to begin with and increase their requirements by 25x or 35x they just aren't going to get done in a timely manner. Items like firebloom are also important reagents for Brilliant Wizard Oil. I think that the majority of players/raiders are more than willing to put effort in for 3-4 weeks while the developers smooth out the raid on the PTR, but some of the requirements seem unattainable.
-
Quite a few of the items are, Lean Wolf Steaks/Copper Bars/Peacebloom etc. The low lvl stuff that got its requirements boosted 10-30x just isn't going to get farmed. You could knock a zero off the requirements for half of the items and it would still take the whole of this month to complete. Gonna be pretty demoralizing for everyone if these numbers aren't tweaked soon.
-
Hope u guys realize you are going to have to scale down some of these materials. Ones that are easy to get like leathers won't be an issue but those w/ limited spawns like herbs/bars just aren't going to happen in a timely manner. GL w/ the PTR test, most of us raiders are itching for a change of scenery.

[H] <Earth Walkers> US/NA Nost(old) PvP recruiting(8/8 BWL)
StarecaseXD replied to Ensaneas's topic in Guild Recruitment
Bump! Looking for a Mage/Warlock/Resto Shaman/Holy Priest and Fury Warrior -
This would mean a lot of NA guilds would have to reschedule raid times? is this going to be permanent or will it be changed to pre-shutdown status?

Good thing the old server was first

Get those anger issues in check you sad little man. A month isn't that long of a wait. That or 9/10 troll job. -
Regrowth druids still pick up Imp HT b/c on longer fights, spamming nothing but regrowth will lead to mana issues. The 50% crit on regrowth is nice b/c it also gives you a fairly reliable way to reduce the cast time of HT3 and HT4 by an additional half a second. Spec I will be using is going to look like this. http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#0x0xhMVoZZxvcobaV Nobody here is arguing that you HAVE to play the spec in order to be an effective healer, rather that there is an option if you want to compete with other classes for the top of the charts. I get that it isn't important for everyone but there are players that like to try and push #s. Ultimately you can be an effective healer with whichever spec you chose. Druids scale very well and provide more options in regards to spec and playstyle than any other healer. Would recommend/10

Title, need action bar addon but hate bartender, what do?
-
Appreciate the answers, ill check both out!

- Good for you man. I can't speak to your ability or inability as a healer, just point out that your claim that druids are there for utility, and incapable of competing with other healers, is wrong. - I'm not denying it can, I'm calling into question your assertion that it is the best spec in the game for a resto druid. I don't mind it, I just prefer regrowth. - Innovative was the wrong word but NT/Regrowth is newer and players in general have a lot more knowledge and ability to optimize gear and spec now. WTF is your metric for determining that druids can't compete if you are ignoring healing meters?
-
What a terrible attitude to have lmao. If I had someone on my healing team that I thought was content with not being a liability they wouldn't be brought to another raid. Bottom line is there are a lot more interesting and innovative specs nowadays that provide druids with the tools to perform on the same level as other healing classes in addition to bringing the utility built into the class. Glad you were able to find success but don't try and claim that some sub-par pvp spec is the only viable path for a druid in raids.
