Do not post ban appeals here. Scroll to the top of the forum and click on BAN APPEALS section to make a ban appeal. Even if your account is perma banned, you can always start a new account and create yet another warlock toon. Also, it is impossible to get hacked if you use 2FA, so don't bullshit people.

Posting to say that the Chinese problem is, unfortunately not solved. Today I went for thirty minutes outside Stormwind, and the world is infested with Chinese toons, Chinese multiboxers, and Chinese botters. Some screenshots: Focus on the left part. That is one of the players of the so-called "PROFESSIONAL" Chinese Guild "Old Times". These guys used to infest Kronos and Nostalrius. The "professional" part means that these are players who only play to make a monetary profit in US Dollars. In Nostalrius and Kronos, <OLD TIMES>, <MOON> and other professional Chinese guilds used to: 1. Sell gold to Chinese Gold-Selling companies based in Hong-Kong. 2. Sell levelling services. 3. Sell raid items. 4. Sell BG honor farming services. 5. Sell BG matches through "win trading". 6. Black Lotus Spawn camping. ...amongst other things. So yeah, not sure where from you are getting that the Chinese can't play here, because they are here already in numbers doing their thing. The so-called "firewall" hasn't affected them at all. Well, as somebody who did play Vanilla, the experience described by the OP is very accurate. I started playing in Dec 2005 in Server Emeriss PvP. That was during patch 1.8-1.9. Population Ratio was 60% horde - 40% alliance. I was alliance. Almost every zone was a warzone. Hillsbrad Foothills in particular was especially bad. Horde raid guilds would camp the entire zone until server time 19:00ish when they started raiding. (Players in Tier1/Tier 2 camped level 35ish players for hours). I got ganked continuously. It got to the point that I was shooting at every horde player I saw thinking "well they are going to attack me anyway so I might as well attack first". So yeah, I'd say OP's experience is very, very much like the original game, which is pretty much what the Admins wanted to get at in the first place. I thought people here wanted to experience Real Vanilla?

Don't listen to this guy. I have a laptop with an Intel Skylake i5 Dual Core 4 Thread CPU and a decent mid-tier AMD GPU, I am running the game at 1600X900 and I don't see anywhere near 60 FPS everywhere. In fact, I get around 30-35 FPS with everything maxed out. I am guessing that in order to get 60 FPS everywhere with such a system, one has to run the game at 1024X768 or 800X600 or 640X480. Dunno if you enjoy playing at these resolutions. To be exact: CPU: Intel Core i5 6200U@ 2.3 GHz - 2.8 GHz Turbo (Skylake 6th Generation) GPU: AMD Radeon R5 M330 2GB As WoW Vanilla only run on a SINGLE CPU CORE, you need a laptop with a CPU with STRONG SINGLE THREADED PERFORMANCE. For this reason, you should avoid AMD CPU's because they fail in single thread performance compared to Intel CPU's. You should buy a laptop with an Intel Core i5 CPU (Skylake or Kaby Lake) NON-U and a discrete GPU. Well I have been playing WoW for 11 years now, and it was still quite difficult for me to get the mount at level 40 in Nost. By "difficult" I mean that I did everything right and used AH a lot. So there you have it. It is by design that getting a mount is really hard. Back in Vanilla around 2005, there were plenty of people that didn't make the cut and went around in ghost wolf form, travel form and aspect of the cheetah/pack until level 50 or so. You shouldn't feel bad about it. This is the original vanilla experience. Honorable mention: I didn't get an epic mount until late 2006, and the only reason I managed to afford one was that I joined an LBRS run out of sheer luck, and the Tank was a raider from a raid guild and quite knowledgeable with the game, and it so happened that the recipee for Greater Fire Protection Potion dropped and I won the greed roll. I would have still vendored it for 1g 50s or so, but the Tank (whose name I don't recall) told me to put it up on AH for 650g assuring me that one of the Guild Banks of one of the raiding guilds my server had (Nordrassil) would buy it, and so it happened. If it wasn't for that guy, I would never even manage to get my hands on an epic mount for the whole of vanilla, which was pretty much the norm.

Yes, I got the same thing too. It took me 8 minutes of trying different codes in order to log in, and my iphone was ofc perma auto-synced. You just got to keep trying. I deleted WDB and logged into the COn trol panel b4 I made it. Not sure if that helped.

In Nostalrius, there were persistent offenders that used to do that in order to get others banned, as getting feared on the boat made you walk through the ship's bulkheads and this -in turn- got you banned by the anti-cheat system. A warlock in our guild got banned from the anti-cheat system after being fear-bugged on the boat, and it took him 15 days to get unbanned. Of course, we got the priest that did that to him banned too. So, if you enjoy doing that to ppl, know that there are other ppl with rogue or druid toons that get on a boat specifically in order to record a video of you fear-bugging others so that they can use it to get you banned.

Well, considering that there are players who board a boat just to MC and then bug other players just for lulz, I'd say banning them for the offense and then permabanning them if they do it again is quite justified. Such players willfully, knowingly and deliberately abuse game bugs to grief other players. This falls in the same category as releasing an infernal in a starter area, e.g. Teldrassil, also bannable.

Can confirm something might be wrong with the authenticator and game client. -Can log into Control Panel, okay. -However, logging into the game took me about 8 minutes of failed login attempts. Was entering correct 6-digit code and getting "Call Customer Service" or "Info entered Not Valid". I deleted WDB, however, this did not help. I just managed to log in after 8 minutes of trying different 6 digit codes, and after having logged into Gontrol Panel on website. My iphone's time is always automatically synced with time servers, as there is such an option in the GENERAL SETTINGS app, and it is turned on. So, admins might want to have a look at the way the Game Client and authenticator interact.

You don't understand how 2FA works. If you log in the game by using the game client from a different IP address than the one that you normally use, then the WoW game client will pop up something like a small calculator which you will use to enter your six-digit code. That's where "2FA" and "WoW game Client" meet.

Nobody can help you. Deleted chars are not restored. I assume you have been hacked and the hacker deleted your characters. Change your password and enable 2FA so that you won't get hacked again. See my profile's "about me" section for instructions on how to do that.

Sounds like your discrete GPU is dead. Open your Device Manager and tell us whether there is anything listed below DISPLAY ADAPTERS and what is that, like so: Note that laptops are not ideal platforms for gaming, and discrete GPU's will eventually fail after a couple of years of heavy gaming. This normal and common. While AMD GPU's are not inferior to NVIDIA GPU's at all times, WoW was really designed for NVIDIA cards and should play better with an NVIDIA card. Not so important for WoW Vanilla these days ofc unless you have a low end/low tier GPU like the one you 've got.

Try logging out from control panel and then log back in and try again.
